Thanks StillStanding, I have mentioned vitamins to DH a few times but I think I should go out and get some for him. Can I ask which ones you used?

We're trying to make more of a go of it than in previous cycles. Passing the six month mark was really hard for me - I really didn't realise how emotional all the cycles would be. Having said that although we've been trying for six months, having my BIL staying and sitting pretty awful exams have meant that we've mostly timed sex around when I've been ovulating so we haven't had sex as much as we would like, and probably, more importantly, at much as we should.

Anyhow, now that BIL has moved out and exams are over I'm a LOT less stressed than I was previously so hopefully that will help too.

I do temping and charting already but found the ov sticks really stressful because I ovulate later and nothing was coming up early on. I should give them another go really! I'm also trying to lose a few pounds and generally be a bit more healthy so hopefully that will help too.

Hi all.

I think my bleeding has stopped so now just counting down the days to see if I can get to the 20 days without a bleed and assume my cycle is back to normal! Idid a pregnancy test and it said negative so I guess my hormones have settled back down.

Hope all are well. Am looking forward to adding myself back to the list

Sorry not been keeping up with the thread. Having a bit of a pooh time lately. Have updated my stats, just in case I was in danger of being chucked off the list. Think AF is looming again...

Huge congrats to stillstanding. Beanie - here's hoping you won't need the clomid and a honeymoon baby is on the cards for you. x

beanieb · 22/06/2009 11:39

jaany - hope you are ok?

My bleeding stopped, then started, then stopped, then re-started! Meh! I knew it wouldn't be this simple.

Also - my sister has been told she has a tilted Womb. Wonder if this could be something I have!?

stillstanding · 22/06/2009 11:39

PistachioLemon, I know what you mean about the 6 month mark. For me that was around Christmas and I just could not believe that I was not pregnant by then. The whole year everyone had kept asking us when we were going to go for no. 2 and I kept saying "oh we will think about it after Xmas" when meanwhile we were already trying but I absolutely "knew" that I would have something to announce by then ... Grim times indeed.

But you will get over it and it will happen for you, I'm sure of it. Especially now that exams are over and your BIL has moved out. Believe me I know it doesn't feel like it but 6 months really isn't very long either if you think about it objectively. Although I know every month feels like forever so that is no consolation...

On the vitamins front, we have a really good health shop near us and I went to them and asked them to recommend some vits for male fertility. The ones I bought had the biggest signage you have ever seen with "FERTILITY FOR MEN" writ large all over them so DH (not surprisingly!) promptly took all the labels off! So unfortunately I can't tell you exactly which ones he took but I will go back to the shop and try to find out for you. I suspect though that there is not much in it between the different brands but it is worth doing in some form or other.

ClaireDeLoon · 22/06/2009 13:23

beanie a tilted womb is quite common - I have one, I think about one in five women have it. It shouldn't affect fertility or pregnancy apparently.

ClaireDeLoon · 23/06/2009 14:07

Having a bit of a shitty day, really nice friend saying that she and DF will start a family in a year or two and I just thought 'I'll still be childless by then'. I've convinced myself that my crappy misformed womb will condemn me to remain forever childless, that even if I do ever get pregnant again my increased risk of mc because of my age combined with my increased risk of mc because of my problems will have only one outcome. It's so fucking unfair.

stillstanding · 23/06/2009 14:16

ClaireDeLoon, it really is so unfair. I found out recently that my 21 year old cousin who has no long-term partner and no job has fallen pregnant on a one-night stand and is now thinking of terminating and at the same time here was me trying for what feels like forever desperate for a baby ... She probably thinks life is very unfair too. A lottery indeed. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all have babies when we wanted to?

Anyway I am so sorry this is happening to you and that you are having a crappy day. Do try to stay positive and keep at it. A year or two is a long way away and you will have lots of cycles and chances between now and then.

Thinking of you x

Anyone got any news? There are a few of you at the end of the 2WW?

I've updated the list but apologies in advance if it's not right. I had a couple of bleeds last week and went to doctor's who listened to HB, but I have a scan on Thursday which will hopefully put my mind at rest, I can't say I was looking forward to it but after our scare I'm dreading it!

Hey everyone!!

Mollie fingers crossed everything is ok for your scan Thurs, its a horrible waiting game this pregnancy lark isnt it!!

Well im 13weeks today and have my 12 week scan on Weds, had a scan 2 weeks ago and everything was ok but still cant wait to weds to know we are over another hurdle. Its all very scary stuff.

Is everyone ok??

Well only 2 sleeps left (including tonight) wish I could fast forward to tomorrow night x

jaamy · 29/06/2009 20:20

BIG WAVES to Zen and mollie. Hope the scans go well. [excited emoticon]

Claire hope this sunshine has made you a bit cheerier. Try to concentrate on YOU and not things that are going on around you.

Back to the top. Knew it was coming. Scan showed up nothing unusual. GP says can't refer me to fertility clinic because I had 2 MCs last year and am therefore not infertile. He has a point. His very words to me were "Just keep banging away"! Oh and to temp so I know when I've ovulated...cos like I hadn't though of that about 2 years ago.

Hope everyone else is ok.

hi ladies
jaamy sorry AF got you and that your GP is being such an unhelpful git!! have you tried ferning?? i am going to give it a go if AF arrives this cycle (she was due saturday and has yet to make an appearance) i have ordered one of the saliva test things from babymad and it is meant to be rather accurate in ov prediction (and gives a 3 day 'warning' so you can ahem...get banging away as your GP so delicately put it)
good luck mollie and zen for your scans
hello to everyone else
xx ei xx

jaamy · 30/06/2009 14:45

Thanks Ei - will keep things crossed for you that the red witch stays away. x

[jaamy tootles off to google "ferning" whatever that is...]

SmilingEi · 30/06/2009 14:50

hey jammy go on babymad.com and they have the saliva prediction thingies which are about £11 i got one just in case no AF here yet no feelings like she is coming yet so who blardy knows eh??!!

beanieb · 01/07/2009 11:21

Morning all.

Been to Glastonbury. Had a great weekend but now feeling gloomy about the future. Lots of people around me are either pregnant or flashing their beautiful babies at me. My OH asked me when I was going to be ovulating (Who knows, I have only just stopped bleeding after the miscarriage) and it just filled me with dread having to think about more months of useless TTC and worry about it taking months again.

I have not seen my best friend since I miscarried and saw pictures of her bump on facebook which made me sad and I am just not sure I can actually visit her ever again

Anyway - hope all are ok?

SparklyPseudonym · 01/07/2009 13:17

Oh Beanie . I felt exactly the same after my m/c. I really think there's some truth in the 'being more fertile after a m/c' talk. It took us a year of TTC (plus 2 years before that of unprotected sex) to become pregnant before the m/c and then only a few months after the m/c (and out of these months it was the only month that I used OPKs and really went for it). Have you had a look at Deanna plan here? This is what we followed before I got my BFP. All the luck in the world to you. Am hoping you won't be waiting too long and am glad you had the chance to relax at Glas.
Jaamy All this completely useful advice . I posted over in Emmsy's thread this morn what I'd seen on TV (This Morning) about what to do when TTC. They make it sound so easy. Sorry TEW got you but pleased the scan didn't show anything. Lots and lots of babydust.
Ei [waves]
Mollie and Zen Lots of luck to you both. I'll keep everything crossed.

Hello to everyone else. I've still got this thread on my 'watch' list so am always lurking. Good luck to all.

zen1980 · 01/07/2009 19:44

Hey everyone,

Beanie I completly understand how you feel you just have to carry on to know that it wont be long for you now, your body was just getting you ready. Hopefully you will be more fertile now, thats what I put me down too

Well had my scan today and baby was healthy and active waving at us cant tell you how happy we are to get to this point and am due 10.01.10 how cool is that!!

Mollie - thinking of you tomorrow let us know how you get on.

Zen waves at everyone else xx

Ei Tonnes and tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of luck to you. Love the new name.
Jammy 23 weeks tomorrow. It is going quickly (now some of the anxiety has passed) and I think summer hols will fly by. Sept/Oct will be loonnnggg months though.
PL Sorry to see you back at the top. Fingers crossed for this cycle being your lucky one.

PistachioLemon · 02/07/2009 21:48

Well eight is a very lucky number in the Chinese culture so I've decided I'm going to be very hopeful this month. More bonking is required I think but I do need to be slightly nearer than 300 miles away from DH to get the deed done Hopefully going to be home next week so we can get started. Poor DH does not know what's coming

Ei - I loves the new name too! Maybe I should try name changing too to seal the deal. Don't know how though.

Sparkly I can't believe it's 23 weeks tomorrow that's gone so quickly.

Zen and Mollie, congrats on the scans. I'm so pleased for you.

Beanie hope you're okay. Was Glasto good? I haven't been for years but felt like I was missing out this year.

Jaamy, I've finally set my Mum up with a laptop and wireless broadband and was tempted to take the shiny new toy into the garden this afternoon but it was just too hot. Maybe tomorrow!
