Hello there to all,

How lovely to come back and read all the news Beanie and Ragazza

Pistachio hope tests throw up something easily solvable. Two people I know did resolve problems after a series of MC and have had one child and two children since. Tests were the way forward for both, with different causes.

I gave away all my baby things in the last month. Have had three cycles of clomid, been very ill, and now feeling very relaxed.... not hoping, or thinking, just trying to chill out.

Hope this positive thread rubs off APP with consultant in the next couple of weeks.

louhasalittleman · 01/06/2010 12:34

Hi Ladies,

Had a little boy on May 3rd, he is gorgeous!
However, he was very poorly when he was born and ended up in Intensive care and special care for a month. We finally brought him home on Sunday afternoon. I needed an emergency C section. He has made an incredible recovery, the doctors had to save him several times over the first few days.
However, he is much better now, and we are finally able to cuddle him, and enjoy him.
Been living in a hospital a long way away so they could treat him so not been home till this week.
Just wanted to update you all!
Claire, I'm sorry how crappy things have been for you this month, I'm thinking of you xxx

blackrock · 03/06/2010 23:03

Oh Lou Congratulations! Glad you are all home and well as sounds like you had a time of it. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy

LaRagazzaInglese · 11/06/2010 10:53

Congratulations Lou! sorry to hear all the problems you had, but glad you're all well now

How is everyone else any news? I'm 7+4 and feeling sick, 1st appointment isn't til 22 july, we'll be having a weekend away before then for our 2nd anniversary/honeymoon-we-never-had/DH's birthday, can't wait, hope im not too sick to enjoy myself!

Blackrock I hope this is a lucky thread for you too, chilling out is the best thing to do, i stopped taking folic acid (for the 1st time in 2 years!), stopped counting days etc and tried to forget about ttc, and the week away helped me relax too.

Good luck everyone

ClaireDeLoon · 11/06/2010 19:49

Have had a shit few days, went to GP Tuesday afternoon for a chat about recurrent miscarriage but when I told him I hadn't yet miscarried completely he wanted a feel of my tum, noticed I felt very hot and after he checked my temp at 37.9 he rang the gynae unit, packed me off to hospital and I was admitted Tuesday evening for 24 hours of IV antibiotics.

Then a scan yesterday confirmed that everything was as previous scan, a 9 week foetus still firmly implanted in my right horn, so they let me go home last night and I was back in this afternoon for an ERPC. It went fine and the good thing is they have sent the foetus off for chromosonal analysis. Fingers crossed they can get cells to test, would be a great start to the recurrent mc investigations to have any info.

I don't know if they will tell me the sex, I know they will be able to tell if they can get the cells but not sure how I feel about finding out.

blackrock · 13/06/2010 17:55

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through Claire, but glad you are well and going to hopefully get some more info on what is happening to you. I am guessing and do not know, that you can ask to be told or not told any information they have. Take care and thinking of you.

Thanks LaRagazza, and hope the sickness subside s for your trip.

PandaEis · 21/06/2010 22:38

We've just got back from my sister's wedding and a week away in the Lakes. We stayed for some of the time with my mum but also had a few days in a nice little hotel. Far too early for sex to be successful but you never know. Twas nice to be away from everything though.

PistachioLemon · 28/06/2010 16:36

Ei this is so exciting! It's put a great big smile on my face. How long til you get your scan? Another three/four weeks? Sounds like things are going well, but I bet you'll feel loads better once the scan shows everything is okay.

How are you doing Claire De Loon?

La Ragazza. I think sickness is good, and hopefully will not last too long Have you had the scan yet?

EI great symptoms. Has the scan date come through yet?

Beany...how are you doing. Are you still checking on us?

How is your little man Lou?

Jaamy are you around????

Take care all and catch up soon.

I'm still not hoping or wishing

LaRagazzaInglese · 01/07/2010 19:14

Went to the hospital today, the one i wanted to go to, but they said they are fully booked for scans etc til September, fgs! so it looks like i'll be going to the 'dirty' hospital!

PistachioLemon · 02/07/2010 09:30

LaRag that's terrible. Are there no other hospitals? On the plus side, is it possible that they've cleaned up their act since they were named and shamed?

Apparantly it was something to do with gas being in the wrong room or something, so health and safety yes but not really 'dirty', quite relieved, still would have preferred the other place though. Can't wait to tell everyone, still only close friends and family know, ive been putting off calling people cos ifel like im lieing when say i dont have any news! we're going away on Monday, only 4 days but really looking forward to it, dont think i'll risk horse riding though but im forcing DH to hee hee!

blackrock · 03/07/2010 10:13

Glad you are booked in LaRagazza. often poor rated places have to improve quickly, so probably will be better by the time you get there.

I must have updated my self incorrectly last week No luck last cycle. I am beyond belief at why this is not working for us. My DH count and motility was through the roof. The clinic are surprised I'm not Pg yet. C

My cycle is more regulated, I am of correct weight, non smoking, low alchol intake, healthy eater, moderate excercise, and much less stress. Why oh why, when some people seem to pop them out as easily as turning on the tap.

Sorry, rant over...

ClaireDeLoon · 04/07/2010 23:48

Blackrock I'm sorry, it's very unfair. It really is.

PistachioLemon · 06/07/2010 11:10

I know, and it gets really awkward too because people we know keep asking when we're going to have children, helpfully saying..."don't leave it too long, you're not getting any younger" and strangers/new acquaintances feel that they can say the same too .

Those who do know are very nice about it, but don't understand really. My sister even asked if I was preggo last month because I wasn't drinking (when I was driving!). It makes me very sad really but I try not to think about it too much.

PandaEis · 06/07/2010 16:08

scan confirmed im miscarrying again. im absolutely gutted

blackrock · 06/07/2010 19:54

Oh Panda, am very sorry to hear this. Hope you are ok I hope they investigate. Oh Panda.

Thanks Claire....just feeling sorry for myself. We are lucky as we have one beautiful DS, so I should be more at ease.

I got asked is he your only one, and oh...when I said yes. Pistacio, I also get those comments, wouldn't it be nice if he had a sibling, what do you think of age gaps, etc. I have become quite blunt and just come straight out with it. Nothing wrong, but just hasn't happened. This seems to politely stop the questions.

PistachioLemon · 06/07/2010 20:09

Ei This is terrible news, I so sorry to hear it. I hope they investigate too, it's just not fair.

Blackrock People should just mind their own businesses. Having said that I'm guilty of asking people too so I suppose I should practice what I preach, or just toughen up.
