Congratulations ClaireDeLoon!! hope everything goes well for you. (This is becoming a lucky thread me thinks)

PistachioLemon · 24/04/2010 09:08

Claire that's absolutely fabulous news for you too! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so so pleased and really really hope this is a sticky one for you.

We too haven't really been trying and I just had to check what CD I'm on because I feel a bit bloated like my period is on its way. Sure enough I'm CD 26 so I guess I'll be back onto CD1 soon enough.

LaRag sorry to see you back at the top.

Hi to everyone else and apologies for not being around much.

Claire Fantastic news!! What a wonderful end of year present your baby will be, thinking lots of sticky thoughts for you
beanie Good luck with scan I will be lurking to find out how it all goes

Big wave to everyone else, I wonder who is going to be the third one

ClaireDeLoon · 28/04/2010 15:38

Thanks you everyone, 4+6 and no bleeding, still feeling massively pessimistic though.

I just wanted to say good luck for your scan beanie, am thinking of, I hope you see a heartbeat.

beanieb · 29/04/2010 10:23

Hi all

Massive relief in the beanieb household. We saw a heartbeat today and the foetus is measuring at 7 +1 which they say is spot on. Apparently I should be counting from my embryo transfer, not the egg collection, + 2 weeks. So I am 7 weeks today not 7 +3 as I thought.

I told the woman doing the scan how nervous I was (I had a complete Meltdown on Tuesday night and had convinced myself there was no baby) and she said she would have to have a good look but not to be worried if she didn't speak straight away and that it wouldn't mean anything was wrong. As it was she immediately turned the screen towards me and showed us the heartbeat, I was so grateful.

We have another scan next week - I feel so lucky getting all these scans - and I am now allowed to see the doctor and get the ball rolling. They even asked where I wanted to give birth! I've not even allowed myself to think that far ahead.

I am so so grateful to all the support I have had on this thread in the last couple of years and really hope for the best for everyone else. If this continues to go to plan I will always remember that not everyone finds it easy to get pregnant and there are many people out there going through so much to just get pregnant.

If anyone ever wants to ask me anything about IVF I can try to help.

Massive good luck to everyone and thank you so so much.

xxx

beanieb · 29/04/2010 10:23

sorry - another scan in 2 weeks, DOH!

jaamy · 29/04/2010 12:32

Beanie for you and Mr Beanie! Wow, how exciting for you. Please come back and let us know how you are getting on...we all need a bit of motivation. And don't forget you need to graduate.

Hope the pg goes ok and seems to pass quickly for you. I know there's still a long way to go but I bet you can't wait to get your hands on beanie junior! x

Claire - it's difficult not to be pessimistic but just take one day at a time until you get to see that little bean for yourself. Hope you're still taking it easy.

Have had to re-arrange tomorrow's appt. Apparently my 21 day blood results won't be ready in time and DH (bloody stupid man!) only just "did his bit" on Tues after having had 6 weeks to get sorted....grrrrr! So, new date with consultant is 13th May.

Ei - lovely to see you chick! You will be welcome back whenever you are ready. x

Big wave to migola - How are things with you?

Everyone else doing ok?

AM off to see if I can find out anything about Lou - DC must have arrived by now

Have updated stats but I had lost a day somewhere, not sure if everyone else's are correct...

Hi ladies, think name says it all...

40+6 tomorrow and off for a stretch and sweep.
Labour started up the other night and was having regular intensifying contractions which then slowed down again and stopped. Midwife said i am probably having a long latent phase and the contractions weren't strong enough to get things going properly...
Oh well lets hope things kick off again and I have a little person to cuddle very soon.
I am very for Beanie and your heartbeat. That was the best moment when they turned the monitor towards me too! Claire, hope you are doing ok? keep strong.
Big waves to everyone!
I will be back soon to tell you the news xxxxxx

jaamy · 29/04/2010 17:47

Hello Lou! Good luck for tomorrow, hope your little one gets the encouragement needed to put in an appearance and that everything goes ok. Your little bean is obviously far too comfortable Looking forward to hearing some lovely news from you very soon. x

SparklyPseudonym · 29/04/2010 20:15

Just popping in to say a HUGE CONGRAULATIONS to Beanie. You've been in my thoughts all day and I'm truely thrilled to hear such exciting news from you. Don't stop yourself from looking forward - I spent so much of my pregnancy worrying about what might happen but the odds are now massively in your favour and you'll see a huge difference at your next scan. Enjoy your pregnancy - you deserve to. xx

Lou - all the best to you. I'm sure the s&s will get things moving. Look forward to hearing your news.

Claire - It's all happening here. Congratulations and lots of sticky vibes. Day by day and rest up. Good luck.

migola · 05/05/2010 19:28

Hi Jaamy, all well here thank you. My little bean is now a gorgeous 9 month old crawling monkey. She is gorgeous even though I say so myself . Hope all well with you x

jaamy · 10/05/2010 23:23

Just popping in to see if there is any news from lou. Something must have happened by now. Hope all ok...I bet she's just too busy swooning over her lo.

Migola - glad your little monkey is keeping you on your toes...I bet she's just as cheeky too! I'm sure you're making every minute count. Doesn't time fly...makes me realise how long this thread has been going!

Well, CD 34 today and no sign of AF. HPT today and BFN so if anyone does bump into my AF before I do, please keep hold of it for at least the next 9 months. Ta x

Consultant appt on Thurs, that's if we can track down DH's results. Blooming lab says they still haven't got them after 2 weeks...No doubt his little fellas have been out partying with my AF

jaamy · 13/05/2010 14:29

That dirty stop out, AF finally put in an appearance this morning (CD37!). Just in time for consultant appt. DH's little men all in order. I'm apparently in fine working order, also. So...clomid it is then. Self funded at £375 for appt and scans and £5 a month for drugs...bargain!

We're going on a lovely relaxing sunshine hol 3 weeks today (wrong time of cycle because, let's face it when AF is as unpredictable as mine there's no chance of forward planning) and will prob start on clomid when we get back.

Gone a bit quiet on here...hope I haven't frightened everyone off. x

ClaireDeLoon · 17/05/2010 10:29

Good luck with the clomid jaamy, £5 a month isn't too bad! Initial consultation pricey thgough.

Where are you going on your holiday? We're going to sunny (or not as is usually the case) Scotland for two weeks in the peace and quiet of the Highlands. Not until mid-June though seems ages away.

LaRagazzaInglese · 22/05/2010 13:09

Hi everyone, I've been tempted to come on here all week but feel as though it would be tempting fate! - I'm 5 days late with sore boobs - but haven't tested yet. AF has been a bit irregular the last couple of months so I wasn't really thinking too much about it, but now I can't help but convince myself that I might be! DH wants to wait a bit longer before testing, I thought the suspense would be killing me but you know what it's like to prefer AF to a BFN. So I'll update the stats and keep you posted Hope you're all well, I hear it's sunny in old blighty

BFP alert!!! I tested last night with a cheapy internet test and got a BFP then this morning too, just to make sure it wasn't a dream, and got another BFP!

I kind of can't believe it, you know when you want something so much for so long, then when you get it it's hard to believe. I still feel like I should wait and do a 'proper' test but that's just me not wanting to tempt fate by getting all excited!

DH keeps looking at me all doe eyed and last night handed me a fiver and said "let's start a money box for baby" bless him!! says he'll give up smoking, and he did all the washing up! let's see how long that'll last!!

LaRagazzaInglese · 23/05/2010 10:10

PistachioLemon · 23/05/2010 10:47

Claire, my fertility appointment is still ages and ages away.

We're thinking of perhaps trying to scrape together the money to have a private consultation because we could have it now rather than later. But then we'd also have to scrape together the funds for the IVF or ICSID.

Having said that, my mum has sweetly said that she'd pay for a round but I think she had in mind after the one NHS round, if that didn't work. And I feel bad asking her about it.

Otherwise we could find the money if we had to but that would be all of our backup money gone and has DH is self-employed we need it to pay the tax bill and if he has a quiet period, which in these times is not completely unfeasable.

I don't know, it's difficult to know what to do. On the one hand I think we should just go for it now and deal with the consequences later and on the other hand I think we should be a little cautious.

PistachioLemon · 23/05/2010 10:56

Sorry, pressed post before checking and before finishing what I meant to say! But I think you can probably get the gist of it all!

Getting preggo this way is far more scary for me than just having sex and hoping for the best.

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 24/05/2010 11:35

Hi all

congratulations LaRag!

PL nice of your mum to offer about paying for one round. I guess a private appt wouldn't get you any further up the list for NHS IVF? Shame it is so long before your NHS appt

We've had a bit of a weekend, started spotting Friday, mild cramps and then red blood Saturday night. We were away for the weekend as it was my 38th birthday yesterday so was all a bit horrible really. But we had a scan this morning and there was a heartbeat and measuring exactly right for my dates at 8+4. We are in shock wasn't what we were expecting at all.

ClaireDeLoon · 28/05/2010 16:17

It didn't work out again, a gush of bright red blood on Tuesday night out of nowhere, gynae on Weds said no point scanning agin so soon as there could still be a heartbeat even if pregnancy wasn't working out. Scan today and it had grown from 20mm to 26mm but no longer a heartbeat, so I guess a scan on Wednesday would have given us false hope and they were right to delay the scan.

We didn't even bother waiting to see a doctor, what can they say? God I hate the way it makes you feel so bitter.

Claire, I've just read your message. I'm so so sorry to hear your news. You must feel awful and so disappointed. I'm not sure what to say really as the usual platitudes won't cut it - the only thing I can say is that I'm thinking of you. Can the doctor's investigate now to see why you've miscarried again?

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 30/05/2010 10:11

Yes, my GP is lovely and rang me on Friday afternoon after DP went in and asked reception to cancel midwife for me. He wants me to go in the week after next as he is on holiday next week. He said that there are tests he can order as well as referring me on to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. I need to see if I can get to see the consultant under my private health insurance.

PistachioLemon · 30/05/2010 10:31

Good, I'm glad to hear he's taking it seriously and hopefully you'll start to get some real answers soon. Am crossing fingers that your private health insurance will cover things.
