I can understand not wanting to move off the list yet - it's awful the way mc's destroy what should be a happy positive time with fears and worries. I have everything crossed this is a sticky one for you.

I'm OK CD1 today will update the list. Did get a bit hopeful a few days ago - my cycle this time was two days longer than they were before last mc.

beanieb · 03/01/2010 16:16

YAY! massive congratulations EI.

Wave to Lou, glad to hear all is going well.

I'm not even sure what day I am on but we've continued 'trying' even though it's not as planned as it was. DH said to me last night 'wouldn't it be funny if we got pregnant the first month off clomid and when we've been boozing it up over Christmas?' It would be but I am guessing it probably won't happen!

Still no news from the Hospital about IUI or from the appeals people about funding. Here's hoping we hear something soon.

Hi to everyone else

jaamy · 04/01/2010 18:25

how are you EI?
Hoping that you are OK.

Just realised that my Period is due the day before what would have been my due date had my pregnancy been viable and a friend of mine who got pregnant the week after me has just started labour with her second child. Am not sure if I should talk to my Dh about 16th being the day I would have been due, he did know my due date but am not sure if it's something he's aware of if you see what I mean. Am ok now but scared I'll have a massive wobble on the day.

ClaireDeLoon · 06/01/2010 10:47

Beanie I would say something to him. DP and I actually went away for a few days at that time because we wanted to be together away from work. I think it's a day to get through together if you can.

Ei I hope you're OK.

jaamy · 06/01/2010 11:12

beanieb · 08/01/2010 15:58

I am so frustrated. When we went to the IUI open evening at the end of November/begining of December they told everyone there that we should consider ourselves on a list and we didn't have to do anything because they would contact us in the new year. This week, being a bit impatient, I called them several times and left answer machine messages.

Finally they got back to em today to arrange an appointment for treatment planning only to tell me they can't see us until the begining of March!! It sucks big time. From what they said they didn't even have me on a list and should have sent me an information pack weeks ago.

i feel like calling them every day to see if anyone has cancelled. Looks like I am not going to get this treatment until April at the very earliest by which time I will be 40 years old.

Am so fed up with it all, sometimes I wonder why I even want to have a child.

ClaireDeLoon · 08/01/2010 20:50

oh beanie how crap of them, I would definitely call every few days or so asking if cancellations - the admin people may think of you if they have spoken to you in a chatty way a few times and a cancellation comes in.

Don't get too hung up on the age thing (easy to say those words I know), it's only a few months.

As an aside I just saw a thread title raving about how good the coil is as contraception. And I couldn't help but wonder if someone had sneakily fitted me a coil when I wasn't looking.

Well, spotting today so I am counting it at day one and that makes my cycle just 22 days this month. Seems like I am reverting back to my old cycle since coming off the clomid.

Is a short cycle likely to be my problem? Why won't anyone check me out properly and take that into account eh?

EI I wasn't sure what to do with your stats Hope you are ok.

Bugger, bugger, bugger. 30 day cycle this time round! What is going on??

Beanie - sorry to see you there at the top with me but hey, we're cycle buddies!! Whoohoo! The time til your appt in March will fly by. But I agree with Claire - make a nuisance of yourself and they might just push your appt forward to get rid of you!

claire - how are you and your coil doing???? LOL at your wondering. You know that sods law, if you had one fitted, it wouldn't work and you'd get pregnant straight away, don't you?!

Ei - hope you are OK, hun. Rubbish way to start a new year but keep positive, chick. Howa re you getting on with LWH??? Are you still seeing anyone there?

PandaEis · 12/01/2010 15:33

hi ladies

thanks for the thoughts it is much appreciated.
me and DH are taking a little break from TTC for a cycle or two as we were hit quite hard by this last loss i am going to concentrate on getting some more weight off and have a talk with my GP this friday about getting my progesterone levels checked and where to go from here TTC-wise. i will just sit at the bottom of the list for a while and start back on the TTC track when we are ready again. we are now on cycle 28 so we deserve a rest i think

sorry AF arrived beanie and jaamy jaamy we will have to arrange a meet-up soon as it has been yonks since we all got together

beanie i agree with the others about pestering the clinic they are bound to get a cancellation from someone that you can grab onto

hi to everyone else

beanieb · 14/01/2010 18:29

OH

My

God!

My funding appeal was granted!
Not sure what I can get but think it's just one round of IVF, though from April the rules in Wales change and we might get 2!

DH is now planning what to spend the grand we have saved on, he he. I am being cautious and thinking we should save it incase.

Anyway - good news finally!

Also called the clinic today to see if the appointment can be brought forward. They said no but to keep calling!

ClaireDeLoon · 14/01/2010 20:25

Fantastic news beanie I'm so very pleased for you!

jaamy · 15/01/2010 14:39

Oh Beanie!!!! You made me cry!!!! I'm so happy for you. Hope this makes tomorrow a little easier. YOU WILL GET THERE!!!! Woohooo x

BuddhaBelly · 18/01/2010 21:43

Beanie I am so pleased for you that you have finally got some luck, congrats on winning the appeal, fantastic news!

I have been lurking and keeping an eye on you girls but didn't want to post as everyone seemed very low and frustrated and I felt it was just rubbing your noses in it. But if you want to take a sneaky peak at my profile pictures you will see my little man Ewan born 25/11/09. I hope you can take some positives from my journey, you have to believe it will happen, I know there were many times I thought I'd never have a baby, but the bags under my eyes now tell a different story
Sending you lots and lots of positive thoughts girls, BFP's for 2010 please
x

jaamy · 19/01/2010 15:53

Thank you buddha - and what a gorgeous little man he is, too! I hope you are enjoying every minute. x

BTW - that's a great "proud daddy" piccie!

beanieb · 21/01/2010 17:07

Oh Buddah, that's brill. So nice to see a picture of him

EI I hope you and your DH are ok x

My planning appointment has been brought forward to next week! Not through my hard work but because I received a call from the health commission to tell me that the condition of the appeal was that I have the treatment before my 40th Birthday! I am 40 at the begining of April!

I freaked out (this was on Monday or Tuesday) and called everyone demanding to know why I wasn't told. Have since found out that letters were sent to everyone (GP, practice manager and IVF Wales) telling then of the appeal conditions - except me - in December! I've sent letters to all concerned saying how disappointed I am and asking for an explanation.

In one way it has worked in my favour as I am now going to be seen early and I am so grateful to the woman at the health commission who noticed and rang me. i had already had 2 emails from them where they hadn't mentioned the age thing and had spoken to IVF Wales who had the letter there in front of them and Still didn't notice the conditions RE my age!

So.... am on a rollercoaster now, treatment planning next week and then probably starting the IVF in Feb - fingers crossed. We only have one shot but it's better than nothing. All a bit scary.

Funniest thing (not really) is that if they do start me off on the injections straight away the egg collection will be done while my MIL is staying AAARRGGGHH! lol.

3 more people have announced pregnancies which is a bit meh but at least there's a little glimmer of hope on the horizon for me

PistachioLemon · 24/01/2010 12:19

Just catching up... will be back later!

Ei, I was so pleased to hear your news, and then so sad to hear what had happened. How are you? You must be gutted. I can quite understand wanting to take a break from TTC.

Beanie, what a stupid way to run things, someone at the clinic is surely not doing their job properly. Brilliant news though that that you've been funded for IVF and can start treatment earlier than you thought, but it sounds quite stressful and rushed now. Good luck for next week.

Lou, lovely to hear from you too. I can't believe you're so far along already...how do you feel?

Buddha, congratulations! Brilliant news, Ewan is gorgeous.

Jaamy and Claire, hi! How are you?

Anyone heard from Blackrock recently? Hope she's okay.
