I don't know beanie - both the doctor scanning me and then the gynae consultant going through the notes said mc chances higher but not always the outcome.

My sil has a bicornuate uterus and her pregnancy with niece was fine except breach and needing a c-section.

The gynae did say that there is a procedure to correct the shape of my uterus and that if I get to three mc's he will refer me to a specialist in London. They say these things 'after three miscarriages' in such an offhand way as if expecting someone to start a pregnancy knowing it is highly likely to end in mc is not unreasonable.

Oh well, I am just getting myself upset thinking of it. I may work at home tomorrow and see if the GP can see me.

beanieb · 30/09/2009 14:29

Oh I hope I haven't upset you by bringing it up. Am so excited for you. Try not to stress.

ClaireDeLoon · 30/09/2009 14:34

Don't worry - I'm OK - in fact you inspired me to start a thread asking for any advice. Like I say my dsil carried my niece to full term so DP and I have agreed to think positive

DH is quite keen to get going once my period is finished though

PistachioLemon · 02/10/2009 13:46

Guys I'm so nervous right now. Please come and virtually hold my hand and tell me it'll all be okay.

We had a call from the doctor this morning asking if DH could go in this evening at 5pm about his sperm test results. He did the test on Wednesday morning and they said the results wouldn't be back until next Friday.

I'm hoping it's just come back early and the doctor wants to set our minds at ease, but I'm so scared it's bad news. DH doesn't want me to come with him either so I'm just sitting around waiting for this evening now.

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 02/10/2009 16:18

I will hold your hand. I hope it is just as you say, results back early. Fingers crossed for you both.

beanieb · 02/10/2009 17:53

PL, hope everything is ok?
Crossing my fingers for you too.
If there is an issue with your DH's sample then get them to repeat it if they can and also if he does think it's his 'fault' or problem try to be positive and stress that at least now you can work towards correcting the issue. There will hopefully be things you can do to improve the situation.

Hope it's all ok.

My boobs are throbbing and have been for a couple of days so either my period is coming or something good might be about to happen. I stupidly did a test yesterday. Far too early and obviously negative. I have just bought two more cheapie Sainsbury ones and am going to try to hold off until Monday morning. I've been getting my DH to poke them and tell me if they seem bigger or firmer but he thinks not.

PistachioLemon · 02/10/2009 18:37

Thanks Claire and Beanie. Well it's not great news to be honest. The volume is less than 50% of what there should be and mobility isn't great...and we still need to wait until next Friday for the quality check to be available. I'm trying to be positive for DHs sake, but to be honest, between us lot only, I'm not holding out much hope

Beanie, I'm crossing fingers for you. Try and hold out as long as possible before testing.

PLx

ClaireDeLoon · 02/10/2009 18:45

PL I'm sorry it isn't better news

I think beanies advice is excellent and all you can do for now, reassure him etc and look up what can be done - DP looked in to this all a few months ago and there are things that you can work on like diet etc. Fingers crossed for the quality results and take care x

beanie keeping fingers crossed for your sore norks being a good sign

Just called the IVF people to ask about having a scan to check the Clomid isn't giving me any cysts and they said that I would have to 'fund it yourself' WTF. Apparently they will only scan me again when the 6 months is up! Here's hoping I don't have any Cysts then!

Have booked an appointment for the end of November to discuss my options beyond the Clomid. Not sure there's any point getting a higher dose really. Infact I am not sure there is any point carrying on trying at all

hope all are good.
