hey there Blackrock. I would love a cuppa

Day 28 and still no period here. So on high alert for tomorrow.

Massive amounts of luck being sent your way for the scan. Good to hear things are moving along and that it looks like DH is going to have the test.

I'm much like you in that I probably won't go any further than Clomid. x

jaamy · 06/09/2009 20:37

So, we've tried the every day approach, now we are doing the every other day thing to see what happens. Still a couple of days let in my "window"!

beanie - heap loads of luck (actually, more justice than luck, if that makes sense??!!!) that you will still be without AF tomorrow.

blackrock - here's hoping the scan is ok and that DH has lost his wobble. Don't forget to rush back and let us know how you got on. Will they let you know there or will you have to wait for another appt??

PL - happy peeing and good luck for DH on Tues - I'm sure he's delighted to know we're all rooting for him! When my DH had his test they let him do it at home as long as it was kept at body temp and taken to the hosp within the hour. Oh, fond memory of driving down the M62 with a pot of "stuff" tucked in my knickers!! Can't quite remember what excuse I used for being late into work that day but I'm sure it was quite inventive!!

buddha - thank you for your very kind, sweet words. It is good to have a deadline. The theory is that I will come to terms with it...eventually and in the meantime will become some fantastic marketing mogul to make up for it. We'll see.

How are things with you? All well and good, I hope.

comma - ((((hugs)))). The eye blindness sounds terrible. Is there anything they can do once baby has arrived? Though I'm not belittling your eye problem, you know that all this is worth it in the end, even to read Humpty Dumpty 200 times. Above everything you sound knackered! Can you leave DD with someone overnight/weekend to give you some rest? It is so hard coping with pg and a toddler too. I had similar AND before DD1 and when the GP could't give me anything he got me some counselling really quickly. I'm not a fan of counselling but was willing to try anything. Seemed to help. I hope things pick up for you. Don't forget to come back to show off your new arrival when he/she comes. We love success stories.

Right ladies - according to the list we haven't had a BFP since June. Prior to that we were getting at least one a month. By my reckoning that means we are due THREE BFPs this month! No pressure. Stand by your beds (or lie on them, whichever is most comfy) and DO YOUR STUFF!!!

Hope I have updated this correctly? We seem to have a few people going beyond 30 days so maybe we will have some BFPs?

I am on day 29 and I have no tests! Am going to try to resist even buying any because I am sure it's just the clomid making me late. I have no symptoms apart from an ache in my abdomen which could just be my period about to come.

If I get to Wednesday and nothing then I will test again.

stillstanding · 07/09/2009 11:54

Hi all - sorry for not posting for ages. Have been away on and off over the summer but am back now! Hope you are all well and staying positive.

We had our first scan a couple of weeks ago and all was well which was such a relief. The first trimester was very different from the one I had had before and so I worked myself up quite a lot. But ultimately it was all good news and the baby is due on 13 February. Anyway I guess that means that I can graduate (can't believe I can finally say that ...). Wow!

Blackrock, in response to your DH's worries, I just wanted to share our experience with you. We had been TTC for over a year before I finally fell pregnant. The cycle before we had both gone for tests and while there were some minor issues with my hormone levels the consultant thought that the issue may be with DH whose motility levels were very low with lots of abnormal shapes. She put him on some antibiotics, gave him some "lifestyle" advice (no booze, less stress etc etc) and I put him on some fertility vitamins. Lo and behold the next cycle I fell pregnant. I have no idea if that is what did it but it really is worth a try and so worth knowing what you are dealing with.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter whose "fault" it is - hopefully neither of you would blame the other if there was a problem - and your DH shouldn't worry about what he would discover if he had the test. Just like you shouldn't worry either. Either way you will both still love and support each other.

Hi guys, just a quickie today to let you know I got two bars on the CBFM I'm so excited, I was thinking it maybe wouldn't work.

Tell you what though, if I get this excited over two little bars, god knows what I'll be like when the little eggie appears.! Woohoo!

OP posts:
PistachioLemon · 07/09/2009 13:42

P.S. DH has predictably cancelled the test. Ah well. He says he'll re-schedule for later in the month so we have plenty of time to get jiggy in between. I think he's hoping that he won't have to go!

P.P.S. I lost a bit more weight... woohoo!

OP posts:
beaniebgivesupontheDMarsery · 08/09/2009 10:16

AW he cancelled! Here's hoping that you don't have to go and congrats on the weight loss

It's exciting when you get the 2 bars eh?

Still no period for me so I tested last night - I know it's silly time of day to do it but ho hum. Anyway - it was negative so along with the fact that I have no symptoms at all I recon the clomid delayed my ovulation (which means we had sex at the 'wrong' time) and this is making me late. This means that there's no point taking the Clomid next month as my DH will be away at the critical time so it's a month without next month before trying again. After that who knowa, back to IVF Wales I suppose to ask for more Clomid. I've not seen them for a couple of months and am worried that perhaps I should be in contact more?

Trying not to feel down (really aware this just brings the whole thread down) but there are various other factors which I can't get out of my head at the moment and which are making me depressed. Not least the fact that every other bugger is about to have a baby or about to start making their next one which no doubt they will manage without any hassle at all. My sister (Who is two years older than me) is talking about having kids and I really really hope she does because she would be a great mum. However a little bit of me thinks wouldn't it be just typical if she manages it straight away and how will I cope if she does. She's not starting to try yet but I know it's on the cards...

jaamy · 08/09/2009 15:49

Oh Beanie! Huge hugs. I know not much consolation. Now at least you can work out when you should BD the month after next when DH is around and you are back on the clomid. Seems stupid that they don't provide any counselling or advice with the clomid instead of just handing it out, patting you on the head and saying "off you trot". They should at least give you enough to be able to work out your cycles, etc.

PL - sorry to hear DH cancelled. Maybe he heard us talking about him?! Well at least he has motivation to make sure things happen before he has to re-schedule.

ClaireDeLoon · 08/09/2009 15:55

beanie I am sorry I hope that this month (or if DP is away at crucial time, then next month) you will be lucky, I really do it's rotten and I know just how you feel, it is much worse and more depressing when you've recently had a mc. Take heart and have some hugs.

I should update the list for me but I can't decide what CD I'm on. Period started in a slight way last Wednesday but didn't get heavy until Friday. Not sure if I am on CD 7 or 5 really. I started using a mooncup a few months ago and it makes it much harder to judge iyswim.

On the plus side we had a lovely relaxing week in Brittany last week which was very nice.

beanieb · 08/09/2009 16:42

Am not sure what to do. he is going away on CD 15. There's a chance we might be able to catch it in time but if my ovulation changes because of the clomid then we're stuck. Plus we have a freind of his staying here the whole of that week.

I just think there's no point even trying. Plus I HATE with a passion the fact that we now have to organise our sex life around certain dates.

blackrock · 09/09/2009 08:23

Beanie, know how you feel about dates.

Scan was brilliantly positive and the nice lady said do it last night (day ten), tonight or day 13.

BD on day 10, DH away on day 11, then away on day 12.....tonight is the night, but it may be too late .....so planned !!!! but also amusing in a strange way.

beanieb · 09/09/2009 08:26

morning Blackrock, it sucks doesn't it! Glad the scan went well, what did they see?
Good luck for tonight

Claire - you could say day 6 as a compromise? Unless it was barely there until day 3?

ClaireDeLoon · 09/09/2009 13:42

Good thinking re day 6, I'll do that (well, day 7 now)

Blackrock that does sound quite fascinating to have them know - although I completely agree with being a mechanical when it has to be a certain day.

Comma2 · 09/09/2009 14:22

Hugs to all and thanks for the good wishes. I spent last night in the hospital screaming with pain sigh but they couldn't figure out what was going on besides of some weird things that didn't make sense and send me home again. I am earning this.

That said, I have to get bossy now (hormonal crazy lady, so is my good right) and say: will you ALL send your DHs to the doctor immeadiately to have him wank in a cup! It took me 2 years of agony to conceive dd1 becuase dh was trying to get away without, then he had an in-out minor bloody little operation, and I got pregnant after 2 and 3 months the next two times (one mc). Half the cases, its dh that needs a fertility boost.

Embarrassed? My ass. NOTHING compared to what we go through fiddeling with exams and charts and timing sex and meds and crap. Really.

beanieb · 09/09/2009 16:12

Claire sorry to hear this is two years since the miscarriage. Sending you my thoughts.

Have just called the IVF people who gave me Clomid to ask about making an appointment only to be told I can't see them until November! called back and Kicked up a bit of a fuss and they have told me they can just write a repeat prescription - phew!

morning Claire and everyone else.

Or is it afternoon now? I am off on my bike today, going to cycle to see my mum. Part of my new attempts to get fit. I used to cycle every day but haven't really kept it up since I learned to drive. After that should be meeting with my pregnant friend.

Wish me luck and have a great weekend everyone!

PistachioLemon · 14/09/2009 09:15

Morning everyone. I had a brilliant weekend with a party on Saturday night and massive walk on Sunday. We got a bit lost though and ended up having to dive through hedges (again). I need to get better at map reading!

So today is CD17 and there are still two bars on the CBFM, but at least that matches my temp which hasn't started to go up yet. Or at least I think it does... as an experiment I've decided to 'adjust' my tempteratures to see if it makes any difference. Most days I take it at 6am but some days it's a bit later. I've always been curious to see whether that really makes a difference (I know it is supposed to) and having adjusted it, it makes for a much flatter graph with less jumping around.

Beanie, sorry to see you back at the top again.

Hi all

PL glad you had a good weekend I've never used the CBFM - does 2 bars mean ov is imminent?

Beanie how was your meeting with your friend?

I have been pondering taking agnus castus as the gynae said my irregular bleeding is likely to be hormonal. I have found a herbalist near me and just need to take the plunge and book something - it's £40 for a consultation. The alternative therapy centre it is at also does reflexogy which I have wondered about. I know beanie tried it not so long ago. I think will try the herbalist first though.

jaamy · 15/09/2009 20:33

Hello!

Just a little update on the stats as I commence my knicker watching. Don't feel premenstual but then again, I never really feel premenstrual. Not had my usual stomping and bad mood as usual a week or so before AF, so am hopeful...but not too hopeful, just incase!

I too am completely in the dark about the CBFM but hope it is pointing you in the right direction, PL. Claire - hope you are not dwelling too much on 2 years ago but looking forward to whatever the future holds. x

It is a year ago this week that I had my last miscarriage. The year has gone so fast and seems to have been filled with lots of new babies...for other people.

Gosh, we all seem to be on a bit of a fitness drive - beanie cycling again, PL out walking and I am back on the excercise bike (I don't own a real one, DH says it is too dangerous round here!)

Claire - thanks for tidying up the list. Hopefully all the names you removed are now suffering sleepless night with their new arrivals

Shayera - missing you! Hope you and Mr Hol are doing ok, wherever you are and just taking some time out.

I know Ei is alive and well but don't think she has any news, or if she has, she's keeping it secret!

And Glasto has been popping in form time to time, too.

we seem to have lost Jamiejay but I think I have seen her on another TTC thread so hopefully she will come back and let us know if she has any news.

PistachioLemon · 15/09/2009 21:13

Yep, two bars = imminent ov (ish - it's been two bars for ages now). Three bars plus eggie symbol mean get bonking right now, you are about to / have just ovulated.

But holy crappola, I forgot to pee on the stick this morning!

OP posts:
beanieb · 16/09/2009 07:46

Jaamy - good luck. Crossing my fingers for you.

PL get bonking just incase. I remember my first time using the CBFM I didn't get a peak for ages.

My cycling is going well. Been cycling into work. A bit of me is doing it because when I got pregnant last time it was during a week when I had cycled to work almost everfy day.

Also go to more Clomid so have that to take up to December. After that I'm not sure what we do.

Claire - I did have reflexology. About twice a month. I'm not sure if it really did anything for me though. I also took agnus castus but nothing really happened though it did lengthen my cycle slightly.
