hiya tcl.... i didnt have a clue either! thats why i bought those clearblue ov sticks, just pee, check for the smiley face and then bin! easy!! i have never had any ov signs so thought id give these a go! hopefully they will work this mth!

Summer2008 · 13/05/2009 08:10

Hi All,

How is everyone?

I have been using the clearblue didgital kits for the past 5 days. No :-) as of yet.

Unsure of my cycle length as this was my first cycle since a MMC in Feb this year.

Do any of you have expirience of no/or delayed ovulation after a MC?

Do you think i should keep using them until i get that smily face?

Advice appreciated as you all seem to have a lot more knowledge than me.

timmette · 13/05/2009 09:01

Summer 2008 have you had af since mc? I also had one earlier in the year.

Summer2008 · 13/05/2009 09:31

Hi timmette ,

Yeah i had my first AF on the 30/03 so calendar day 14 today. But since this was my first cycle i thought things might be a bit longer than normal and was a bit worried as no sign of a positive on the ovulation tests yet.

Has everything got back to normal for you since your MC? Sorry to hear about that.

timmette · 13/05/2009 09:41

Hi Summer2008
Yes I had one af following mc and am now pregnant 6 weeks at the moment. But I did ovulate later than I thought something like cd 17 or 19. I would keep going with ovulation tests you may have a longer cycle this time and good luck.

Summer2008 · 13/05/2009 09:54

Congratulations!!!! And thank you x

Bettymum · 13/05/2009 11:13

Morning all, hello to the new passengers. Hope you enjoyed our little trip to Shetland yesterday I spent some time there in June about 11 and 12 years ago. And actually we had beautiful weather! I would love to go back.
Well I am not having a good month, I stopped BF entirely a week ago and it seems to have messed my hormones up again, so no sign of ovulation this month. We are BDing hopefully, maybe I'll just have a long cycle. Who knows...

Hello all

Have updated list. Feeling positive today as have decided to start temping so I can see if I ov. I was doing the clearblue digital opk but (and please correct me if I am wrong) they don't tell you if you have actually ov do they? Whereas I think temping does? Will do them as well though just in case! This TTC malarky is turning out to be v expensive!!

Bettymum - hope your hormones settle down soon, such a pain when they are all over the place.

Summer 2008 - stick with the tests and try not to worry. Sure you will get a soon.

Hi Missiek - cross posted!! Think I will join you in your "it WILL be this month" positivity - am determined to go all out!

Fingers crossed for us all

P.S. lets go somewhere hot...chilly here today.

Rtuff · 13/05/2009 13:49

Anyone else REALLY had enough of this 2ww business? Isn't it funny how you go through exactly the same emotions at exactly the same time each month...

At the very begining dissaointment that it wasn't this month

Then it's - oh well onwards and upwards maybe it'll be this month

AF finished - very positive

OV - very positive

2ww mixed emotions of postiveness then all of a sudden negativity creeps in, boredom of the 2ww and excitement that maybe it will be this month and the should i shouldn't i POAS!!

Arghhhh it sends me crazy!

tetleytea · 13/05/2009 14:00

That's how i feel EXACTLY rtuff! Am on 2ww and going nuts, specially because i ov'd early on day 12 and it feels like i've got forever to wait, and my birthday in between . This month(unlike most others) i'm convinced i'm NOT pregnant, and convinced that there's something wrong and that, as my gynae keeps reminding me i should get OH's sperm checked out, it might not be ME with a problem bla bla. BUT i can't face talking him into it as i know he'll resist ...

So, basically negative all round really! Aaurgh!

Josie22 · 13/05/2009 14:06

Rtuff - If it makes you feel any better you have just described my last 7 months down to a T. I agree 2ww is crap. I always try and find something else to obsess focus on. Like booking a holiday (or as is my case at the moment moving house!) or anything that even remotely distracts my mind from it all. The less I have to think about it then the more time I spend thinking about it and the more stressed I get!

Rtuff · 13/05/2009 14:43

teltleytea You never know your OH might react completely different, i thought my hubby would completely refuse to get it checked but infact he was completely fine with it, the only problem we have now is there is a 3 month wait for it where we live so slowly slowly his appointment at the end of July is coming round.

josie I always try to find other things to obsess focus on but on miserable rainy days like today i can't help but log on to MN and then can't stop thinking about it.

But it's good to know that for the last 12 months my thoughts are being shared with other TTCers!

Right off to walk my nutty springer puppy with my DS to occupy me for the next hour...

Cosmosis · 13/05/2009 15:11

rtuff yes! i am bored bored bored of waiting and as I am convinced this will not be our month I just want af and on to next cycle please!

WorrisomeHeart · 13/05/2009 19:48

Am also bored of 2ww and this is our first cycle! Plus (and sorry for TMI) seem to have given OH a bladder infection, so no BDing for fun to take our minds off it. So thats made me hope I'm not PG so I can get it out of my system, so roll on next OV! Feel like I should move to the back of the bus to make room for the rest of you!

In an associated topic, anyone know the consequences for the foetus of having a UTI? Am thinking if there is one, it's only just on the verge of implanting so can't be too bad yet, right?

MaisieBoo · 13/05/2009 20:13

Hi all, can I join too? Had a mmc in Feb (found out at 12 week can). Had a practice last month but no success, so I'm TTC#1 Cycle 2 UCL 31-34 CD7

MaisieBoo · 13/05/2009 20:15

Was supposed to read 12 week scan, think I had my eyes shut!

difficultdecision · 13/05/2009 21:53

The 2ww is stressing me out! I'm not sure why because we'd already decided it would be our 'practice' cycle and I don't really expect to get BFP.

donttrythisathome · 14/05/2009 00:27

Just started my 2ww today - bored already!Been BDing for England, and should really have fitted in another today but just can't face it!

Used OPKs, grapefruit juice and pre-seed so really went for it!

Rtuff snap for the wait until the end of July for DPs wank in a pot test. How ridicuolus is that

Lets go to the Maldives and drink cocktails!
Mine's a double Johnny Depp on ice.

popsocks · 14/05/2009 07:55

runforlove - my 2 are aged 6 and 5. my hubby works away during the week so think this is why having trouble ttc, my ov dates are midweek. if got my calculations right i will be ov on tuesday (day 14. he leaves sunday afternoons and gets home friday around 1am so am usually in bed asleep then and he too knackered to wake me and just goes straight to sleep instead. how old are your 2 x

Rtuff · 14/05/2009 08:48

Okay So is day 21 of 30 too early to POAS??? (i know, i know... step away from the HPT)

Sorry Maisieboo, that was really rude of me!

Goodluck for this month!

MaisieBoo · 14/05/2009 09:28

No problem! I'm not used to posting messages, but thought it would be good to chat to people who know what it's all like. Had started BDing well so far, think I may try for every 2 - 3 days, just pretend it's all spontaneous so DH doesn't feel under pressure!
