joy dont be embarrased.. when i found out i was preg with ds1 i stopped swimming and aerobics .. i was worried someone would hit me in the stomach.

yummy i am as confused as you. when i went for months without a AF i didnt have any spotting. then a horrendus AF have you dont any more pregnancy tests? as my dr told me you could still fall at anytime if your having unprotected sex.

i didnt do another test this morn. dont want to waste my money. ive got the tests here still and 1 is a def positive and 1 a neg.

i dont know if im pregnant. i havnt convinced myself but i am symptom spotting like mad. im tired and can smell just about everything. i can feel pressure in my lower abdo and am getting the odd twang. sometimes my boobs are really tender other times not. All of this can be explained with a non pregnacy reason so im not reading in to it. your body plays cruel tricks on you when ttc.

so im cd25 today! if i were you.. when would you test again?

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 11:11

NOW! bubble

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 11:41

i am going to buy some first response tests tomorrow when i go into town and then do 1 first thing fri morn. i dont think i could hold in my first pee of the day til 9.30.

Joy27 · 28/01/2009 15:23

To be honest I would wait until I was due, to minimise possible disappointment and cost.

Whenever you test, I do hope you a bfp, that would be wonderful news.

Joy27 · 28/01/2009 15:23

I hope you get a BFP, I mean

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 15:35

thanks joy i hope its a bfp too. but what will be will be. ive started getting cramps down low so hoping that its not AF coming early

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 18:29

AF has arrived.....

Good Luck everyone

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 18:41

yummy im glad af has finally made an appearance. you can get on with trying this month now

did you join fertility friend?

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 19:06

I did but becausse this month has been weird and been ill etc.. I havnt noted any 'symptoms' on it yet! That reminds me first day of AF is probably the best day to start!

How are you going with not testing? I saw your other thread about the CB test, its so confusing isn't it!

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 19:30

yummy yeah today is the best to start. did af arrive this morn or later in the day?? apparantly if it arrives in pm then cd1 is the following day! not sure why.

didnt test today. going into town tomorrow to get some first response but ive been having crampy/windy pains today and that normally means AF is on her way. feeling really peed off and sad.. if af arrives im gonna drown my sorrows in a bottle of red and stuff myself with pate and soft cheese.

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 19:43

{grin]

Good Luck

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 19:45

Oh it arrived this afternoon, thanks for the info, I wouldn't have known it was supposed to be the next day! How do you all know all this info?

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 20:12

from fertility friend and on here!! when my AF didnt show for 3 months i read just about everything on the net re periods and lack of them etc. are you following any plans or just going for it without the pressure??

lam81 · 28/01/2009 20:55

Hi girls

not posted for a while, feels like ages but have been reading everyday,i'm due af tomo, have tested everyday this week like a despo, all been bfn's tho, gutted, they were cheapie e bay ones tho so not wasted very much money, except one which i done monday cd 26,i used a first respone one, been symptom spotting like mad, boobs are v sore and am extra tired, altho as some1 else said these can all be af related too,why do our bodies play tricks on us like this, stil kinda hoping they're all wrong, clutching straws i know, but have read about some people on here not gettin bfp's unitl there af is actual late, whats every1 elses experience of this?

baby dust to all x

oneyummymummy · 28/01/2009 21:26

Im just going to go with the flow this month, not really follwing anything, other than looking out for EWCM (if im correct this is ov day???)

lam sorry dont have any experience as wasnt ttc last time, although did work out that my BFP last time must have been a 4weeks as I went for scan and they said I was only 4weeks or less at the time! Dont know if this helps (4weeks PG by the way, so only 2weeks after ov)Good Luck for your next test

lam81 · 28/01/2009 21:38

thanks yummy just need to wait and c i suppose,i think if i dont get my bfp this month i will do the same as u,not really follow anything and try and go by my body and ewcm,i had a good website that talked u thru each stage but i'v lost it out my favourites to send u,google it?u might find it,if i find it i'l send u it,good luck to all x

lam81 · 28/01/2009 21:43

remembered it,webwomb.com has some good stuff bout ewcm, bbt and ttc in general x

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 12:09

oneyummymummy, sorry you are feeling about af. After the rollercoaster you've been on, at least it is a fresh start. Sorry I know it's annoying when people say "at least...".

Hello Iam81- have you tested this morning?

As for me, I keep having pregnancy/baby dreams: twice in the last couple of weeks. We named last night's dream baby Francis Duke (then the surname obv)- no idea where that name came from. No offence to anyone with sprogs named Prince or similar, but I'd never pick Duke as a name! Another one last week was called Dylan Thomas, and I only realised after naming the baby that we'd named it after the poet.

OK, today's trivia question to while away the 2ww (for some of us. I'm on boring old CD20): obv we'd all like a healthy baby and that is the most important thing. But when it comes down to it, do you have a gender preference? I would definitely prefer a boy. I find the idea of being a mother to a girl quite terrifying, tbh, though I can't pinpoint why and am sure I'd be fine if I did have a girl.

Anyone else?

bubblebell1 · 29/01/2009 14:13

Hi girls!

hope your all ok.

got a bfn this morn with a first response (cd26 of a hopefully 30 day cycle) so i think im out for this month. hope AF gets here quickly so i can start again

joy initially i did want a girl seeing as i have 2 ds' but if im honest i think i would rather another ds... have no idea why. everyone assumes i want a girl but i dont...i am thinking of boy names not girls. maybe im scared of the unknown but i think its more likely that i know how much trouble i was and i dont want to have those worries myself . when i was pg with ds1 i really wanted a girl then i had the scan and was told he was a boy but wasnt disappointed. then with ds2 i was so sure i was carrying a girl (dif pregnancy) and then i had 20 wk scan and he was also a boy. but i didnt feel sad i was pleased and glad ds1 was gonna have a brother. DH wants a girl i think.. but he wont say it out right.

oneyummymummy · 29/01/2009 14:28

lam thanks I'll have a little look at that site tonight!

bubble sorry to hear about your BFN. Theres still time though.

joy I would definatly prefer a boy, as I already have DD. However another DD would also be just lovely (I dont have a sister, so would be nice for DD to have one). Thats why Im trying to BD as near to Ov day as possible to increase chances of DS instead of DD.

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 14:41

Agreed bubble- there is definitely still time! I wouldn't be surprised if a BFP didn't show until your af was due.

Keep the faith!

bubblebell1 · 29/01/2009 15:08

do u think???? dont wanna get my hopes up.

Antdamm · 29/01/2009 15:24

Hey all,

My DP went back to the chemist with the hpt!!! And guess wat ??
He got the money back!!!! I would have been way too embarassed to do that lol.

Anyhoo, Ive had some spotting (which I normally never get with AF) so I guess im out, just waiting for the real thing now.
I feel a bit better about the whole thing after talking it out with my DP - he told me to act less like a crazy lady wen a test didnt go my way

joy I would prefer another DS, since i was wee I have always wanted a boy, wen i found out i was pg I was dreading it being a girl, but like you im not sure why. I think boys are a little less work. Also, im not a fan of 'madams' which most of my nieces and friends dd's are.(when they reach a certain age) Im sure i was an angel at that age too

yummy I live in Ireland, we find that shopping here(our options are tesco and Dunnes) is too expensive and we always drive to Northern Ireland, so we can shop at asda and sainsburys, but im not sure if they have a Morrisons - will have to check. Thanks

Joy27 · 29/01/2009 15:28

I don't want to get your hopes up either, but I certainly don't think all is lost. AF arriving is the proverbial fat lady singing- ie it's not over until af turns up!

But seriously, I wouldn't even think about testing before my period was due (well, I would think about it A LOT but wouldn't do it). In fact I would always wait until it was at least a day late to test.

I actually thought you couldn't get a result before your period was due, but I am quite a novice so may be wrong.

I really hope this doesn't raise false hope.

bubblebell1 · 29/01/2009 15:41

on the first response test it says can detect hcg from up to 6 days before your af is due but only 50% successfull. clear blue from 4 days before.

i dont know wether i was late or not when testing with the boys so gonna wait til next week and test definatly no more early testing.
