ne bother Diege, thanks.we shall see.i would end up reading too much into it and drive myself mad!! more than i am now

Diege · 15/03/2005 12:35

Fresco, I know what you mean! Sometimes you just want your mind to stop! Sounds awful, but at the moment I'm more relieved just to escape from TTC nightmare -it's a bonus in itself - than thinking about a baby yet!

fresco · 15/03/2005 16:43

hello!!!!where is everyone??? i think i have missed the boat this month as i am getting now some ewcm.sob sob....i dont know if you can get that after ov??

munnzieb · 15/03/2005 16:53

i'm here quickly - god I can't wait till the boss puts BB on my comp - actually I can cos at the mo all I do is sit there and play card games! lol.

Fresco - stop stressing out hon! EXCM is normally (in my case) around OV time, (inparticualr a lot wetter below) but the more u stress u can actually put OV off - yes it can happen, ur body starts to prepare and as u stress out it stops it, then it starts again a couple of days later or when eva. so in short - STOP!!!! stressing out (I know it's easy for me to say as DH's not here at the mo) but stop stressing about OV'ing and start stressing in 10 days about AF turning up or hopefully not as the case may be.

HA - u're DH is lucky going to the USA - i'd love to go there.

Deige - glad I changed back to - the other one started me off with multiple personalities which my brain couldn't handle! lol only joking!

BabyBop · 15/03/2005 18:29

well here we go-back to reality. Didn't take as long as the doctor said it would for AF to arrive. Just started now Bit of a shock after not having one for so long Oh well. At least I have got a date to start from now. Feel like crap now tbh. Forgot what AF was like! lol. So I take it today is CD1 officially for me??

Babydust to you all ***

Hulababy · 15/03/2005 20:46

Yes, CD1 BabyBop

I am CD17. Can anyone help re OPK though. On Sunday OPK was definitely negative. Yesterday T line was there and quite strong, but not convinced it was quite as strong as the C line (apparantly has to be as stronger or stronger to be positive). Today it was definietly much lighter again. So does this mean that I have possibly NOT OVd this month?

logic · 15/03/2005 21:06

Just had to pop in and say CONGRATULATIONS to tania2!!

Tania2 · 15/03/2005 21:23

Fresco sorry i never did BBT as i had to do IVF because i have badly blocked tubes. Dont know how my ds got through. But i have to admit that when using OPK in the year that we have been ttc naturally i didnt ever get a sure positive.

Thanks for popping in to say congrats logic. How are you doing?

logic · 15/03/2005 21:55

I'm fine thanks, Tania. I'm 32 weeks now! I was so pleased to read of your BFP. I really hope that your pregnancy goes smoothly and before you know it, you are 32 weeks too and complaining about your back hurting/lack of sleep/waddling/having nothing to wear that doesn't make you look like a whale {hugs}

Tania2 · 15/03/2005 22:20

Wow logic that has gone so fast. It really doesnt seem that long ago that we were both here sobbing about not being pg. Good luck with the next 6 weeks it really will fly by and i look forwad to hearing about your labour and your beautiful healthy baby. Cat me if iam not around.

popadopalis · 15/03/2005 23:08

Hey girls! thanks for the support. I feel a bit better today. Af still not here but my hormone imbalance seems to be levelling out a bit and I don't feel so PMS!! I'm CD41 now and so I did another pg test and got another BFN. I think my ovulation is messed up this month, I'll be glad to get the persona monitor and start testing soon.

Sparkly - thanks for the support and understanding. I don't know what I do without you guys to support me. No one else seems to understand really.

Katierocket - Thanks also, I'm usually around 33-35 days but my cycles are indefinate and unpredicatable. My docotr has said he'll do a blood test if I don't get pg next cycle to make sure I ovulate. He's actually really great and the best doctor I've ever had.

Munzie - lol!! very amusing jokes! made me smile

sparkly · 16/03/2005 08:20

Was I the only sad one to watch the show on ITV last night about the women going through ivf? Will admit to sitting there crying my eyes out at parts. I wasn't going to watch it but then did. Brought back all the ivf memories which were, sadly, not good for me. Still it was nice to see success for both the couples eventually though I did wonder if that wasn't a bit of good tv rather than reality. Of the couples we did ivf with only 1 of them managed to achieve a pregnancy. Also showed the hospital were dd was born which was weird and the consultant I had was doing her c section! I only saw him once through my whole pregnancy though.

Glad you're feeling better today, popadopolis - this really is a roller coaster at the best of times.

katierocket · 16/03/2005 08:34

glad you're feeling a bit better today pop.

Hula - not sure about the OPK result but I would say that I think they are sometimes inaccurate. I've had an OV symbol on persona before yet the same day had a negative on an OPK (not that i'm obsessed or anything!)

was supposed to be having acpuncture today but DS has hideous sickness bug so have had to cancel. Disappointed as was really looking forward to it - it makes me feel like I'm doing something else positive towards getting preg. oh well, sods law I suppose.

BabyBop · 16/03/2005 08:42

well im not sure whats going on with my body. i thought af had arrived yesterday. felt like it was and my breasts were tingly and heavy. had a few hours of bleeding (not a huge amount though) but thats it. nothing now. I am a bit confused.

munnzieb · 16/03/2005 08:46

pop - glad ur feeling better, how long have u been TTC? could it be where the pill is still in ur system or something?

KR - lol, ur not obsessed with the whole persona and OKP as well! I did it as well on my first month of the OV, I found the OKP was positive, but did it at about 11am, (it seemed to be if I did the first sample it was always negative) don't know if that helps u to Hula? I gave up on the OKP - never could get a proper reading and DH was getting stressed with reading them and me pouncing, so persona was def a good option for me to do. Insedently next cycle i'll be using the OKP as well as persona just to make sure we're right for when DH is first at home, hopefully! althou I'm not gonna stock up on PG tests just yet!

BB (((hugs))) ur amongst friends here hon.

munnzieb · 16/03/2005 08:47

BB - that happened to me last week (well brown watery bleeding) AF didn't actually turn up until 4 days later on my B'Day

BabyBop · 16/03/2005 08:50

oh right. thanks munnzieb. thanks pops. Will just have to sit tight and see what happens i guess. dont feel premenstrual anymore which is odd.

horseshoe · 16/03/2005 09:16

Hi all, Just checking in.....

CD22 today......finding it hard going.

Was on the train this morning and a pg woman got on. Before anyone had a chance to offer a seat she had demanded someone move from there seats....well I ended up sitting opposite her and she stared at me and I hated her.....Not sure whether it was because she had been so rude or because she was lucky enough to be pg...

Anyway haven't had chance to run through and catch up but congrats to all you grads and baby dust to all you still trying...

I'll check in later xxx

katierocket · 16/03/2005 13:50

hell- CD23 here, according to persona I oved yesterday and day 22 - of 28 day cycle, so fat lot of good that is going to be!

horseshoe · 16/03/2005 13:52

So KR....If you OV late does that mean you cant get PG? I have been TTC through luck of draw and constant bding but it's been over 18months now so thinking will use sticks

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 16/03/2005 14:44

CD3 here. Tapering off. Gonna go out to dinner tonight and have plenty of wine.

katierocket · 16/03/2005 14:59

horseshoe, yes apparently, it's because the egg doesn't have time to implant or something. I've been trying for 10 months and persona has picked up ov on these days the first month of using it (I've used OPKs before but never had a postive result - I don't really trust them to be honest).
Going to speak to GP about it next week.

GO Expat GO! have a drink for me

HandbagAddiction · 16/03/2005 15:03

OK - I have a question for you all on CD days! Since having dd my cycle has changed quite a lot. So instead of knowing exactly when CD1 was, I now have this situation where a may get an odd bit of spotting for a couple of days before AF starts properly. So in your experience, what you would consider CD1 to be? When I start spotting or when it starts for real??

katierocket · 16/03/2005 15:04

when it starts for real- definitely
