Please can anyone help me here... I am TTC with new DH again, after miscarriage last year; 2 grown up babes already. My cycle is really regular 26 days ALWAYS. This month I am now 10 days late, but 2 tests = BFN. I FEEL pg but is this just wishful thinking?? Is it possible after BFNs? Am I just realistically too old... 43... maybe it is menopause instead? What is going on...can anyone help?

Well I am certainly not ill, so I don't think that is it. Annovulatory - maybe... had a very stressful month as I was performing in a show in Oct (am musician by profession)... lots of late nights and arguments with the producer!! But I am hoping hoping fingers xxx will just have to grit my teeth till friday.
Thanks for encouragement and kind words. x

Grownupbabes - how did the doc results come out?

grownupbabes · 09/11/2008 17:11

Hi rainbowdays... well, I rang the dr on Friday and the results were in, but the secretary said he hadn't looked at them yet, so I can't get any "interpretation" until Monday.
But anyway... yesterday I thought AF had started. I had a sudden gush (sorry) of bright red blood, very heavy. Enough to fill one towel in about an hour. But THEN... absolutely nothing. Complete stop and nothing since. So there is no way I can call this AF. But clearly a serious bleed.

What is it? Maybe MC again? but 6 wks (last time 12wks) so different to previous experience? If pg not properly established would this be a reason for the BFN results followed by sudden random bleed at day 46?

Definitely seeing the dr tomorrow and not getting fobbed off by secretary like Friday.
Would be really happy to receive any advice from anyone.
thanks

I would think that this needs investigating properly. Have you had any pain with the bleeding? I would be concerned about ectopic pregnancy as sometimes this give low hcg levels. Any pain in your shoulder or stomach and I would suggest you get to the hospital not wait until tomorrow. Were there any clots in the blood?

A miscarriage at 6 weeks should still have shown up positive on a test.

sorry got to go sort out children, back later...

Thanks rainbow. Fortunately no pain, but there were clots. I don't feel that I need to go to hosp urgently, but if there is pain coming on, then I will take your advice, which is great and sounds knowledgable. Whatever, I will be at dr first thing tomorrow. I think I am going to post this query/dilemma on a new thread to try and get some more feedback. I am really bemused and concerned by the whole scenario now.
Thanks for your help and concern x
