Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Mmmmmm they're yummy - thank you Smiley

Cindy Good luck tomorrow - it is very exciting! I hope you have a good outcome. I may even be tempted to do the test you're doing myself. It would be good to know how many eggs I have left and whether I need to 'up my game' or can relax.

I will still be temping and CM watching - its part of my daily routine now so would be hard to give up.

Pezzina · 04/12/2008 14:30

Forgot to ask - Cindy where did you get the test from?

VillageMum · 04/12/2008 15:34

yellow, my friend was taking the pill during those 5 months (in a very, very scatty sort of way, obviously!) so put her lack of periods down to not being on track with the pill-taking and to stress (she was moving countries at the time)... her dd was fine, BTW, and is now a teenager!

Don't worry, you're much too clued up for it to happen to you!

pinkie08 · 04/12/2008 16:48

Thanks for that C1ndy it was nice to hear that. I am quietlt hopeful as i always am at the beginning of the month and then i find i get despondent when AF is threatening but i guess we are all the same.

Cindy, I meant to ask you: what is the test you're taking? Is it an ovarian reserve test, and did you buy it from Boots (think you mentioned that you were thinking of doing one a while back)? Might go down that route myself if nothing happens for a few months (since I'm so aged!!) x

queenie1 · 04/12/2008 18:21

Hello all! What a lot of posts there's been over the last couple of days. Sorry if I don't mention or say hello to each and everyone of you...

Cindy / Pinkie / Smiley and any others I've missed - sorry about AF.

And yes - brilliant news about scan heeby

Just done a quick count and I'm on CD5 today. I'm feeling so much more positive than a few days ago. Days 1 and 2 of AF are such a b*tch. I'm going to relax a bit more this cycle but still BD as next week and I may do some ovulation tests so as to try and work out for sure how my cycle works. So unless I decide to jack the whole thing in this month and go on an Xmas drinking binge, I'll be joining many of you in the 2WW in the run up to Christmas...!

Great news on the scan Heeby .

All those due to ov this weekend - good luck for a busy time . I'm visiting relatives, so will have either be very quiet or jump hubby before we go. We won't be back until the middle of next week and I think that will be too late .

Good luck with the test C1NDY.

hello ladies.....did anyone watch the program on BBC 4 tonight: War in the Womb
It's repeated at midnight so am going to watch the beginning to see if it's worth staying up for!

I've just got back from a 'networking event' with work. Was actually not too bad as I caught up with some peeps I've not seen for a few years. Not exactly networking but pleasant. No vino for me - just held a glass and sipped it very slowly and then when I went to loo ditched half of it. Must admit the sips I had were bloody good - some people say they go off alcohol when preggers - trust me not too! I have been off my food generally though which is unlike me but means I've not really put any weight on yet, which I suppose I shouldn't really at 7 weeks with a bean the size of.....well, a bean!
I have decided not to post on any antenatal threads till after Monday - my 8 week early scan. I hope so much I see a bean with a heart beat. I can't imagine what that will feel like!! I know that doesn't mean I'm out of the woods but it will make it more real and after that, maybe I will be bold enough to post on another thread.

Quick question - anyone else ttc or had a previous bambino who does a stressful job, how did you do it / the company react when you told them?

BeckyMcG · 04/12/2008 23:47

I've just spent some time catching up on everyone elses news while I wait for my program to start
Some questions.....
pinkie - is this your first baba?
welcome bubblebell
Congrats on the scan heeby!! How many weeks are you now?
RE: Unknown pregnancy - I could imagine that in my teens pretty easily. Now? ha ha - I could barely wait till AF day to test.
Also, I bought some cheap internet preg and ovulation tests. They worked for me - I managed to detect ovulation and they correctly picked up my BFP the day before AF was due. I did back it up with a Clear Blue but it saves money for sure if you're an obsessive tester like I was!

Smileycat yummy fruit scones and muffins Ta!

Pezzina test was good this morning. I have the normal expected level of eggs? left the leaflet at home but will bring it in and type out what the test is about. It was a huge relief and made me feel a whole lot better. The tests are quite expensive about £22 pounds, but I just wanted peace of mind on whether I should go to the doctors etc regarding fertility. I am going to do DH next month, but his not happy with the idea, so lets hope we hit the spot this month!! I got the test at Boots.

bubblebell have updated the list with you on.

VillageMum I am doing a fertility test, it checks to see if I have enough healthy eggs. I will get the leaflet tomorrow and type out the wording for you all to read.

Queeenie good luck with the bding.

Becky I have a stressful job, I waited until 16 weeks before I told them. My line manager who was also a good friend knew earlier and covered for me whilst I had morning sickness. They were fine and to be frank I didn?t really care what they thought? I was so happy! It was lovely to see their faces on how they were going to cover my maternity. Good luck with the scan, let us know how you get on. Oh and thanks for the link for the pg tests? I am going to buy some!

Cindy great news about the test. I would definitely like to do it too - will hopefully give me some peace of mind as well.

I went out last night and had a fair bit to drink not intentionally and didn't feel drunk but woke up with a slight hangover this morning. Also my temp had shot up 0.4oC which is a lot. I'm pretty sure I haven't OV'd - only on CD12 and I usually OV later on in my cycle. Temp rise could be down to the drinking. Oops

BoosieBoo · 05/12/2008 09:56

Hi everyone,
Things have been manic at work again, but not back till tuesday now - I love working a three day week! It's been busy on here... so huge congrats to ilove - is this your first, I can't remember, but so exciting all the same. Also great news about the scan heeby - how many weeks are you now? My scan is booked for 30th december. It seems like an age away, but there's xmas to look forward to before that. I've started to relax a little bit now, but once I have the scan under my belt, will feel a whole lot better.

Someone was asking about pre-seed - was it Cindy? Anyway we did use it last month every time we BD'd. I thought it would be a real faff, but actually it was fine and I just made sure I applied it before pouncing on DH, so as not to ruin the moment so to speak. I don't know if it was that that made the difference, but I suspect a lot of it was down to the silly amounts of BD'ing we did - if I remember rightly it was CD 7,8,10,11,12,13,14(x2),15(x2) - that sounds ridiculous - and we haven't done it since! Think DH needs a few weeks to recover. I ordered a whole kit from access diagnostics, which included 20 opk's 10 hpt's and 18 tubes of pre-seed - was expensive, but seems like it was worth it.

I'm supposed to be doing some work from home, but am going to get my hair cut instead. Good luck with the scan Becky x

JingleJools · 05/12/2008 10:03

Boosieboo - I am seriously impressed with your BD'ing !!!

The most we've managed is 4 times in a month but then again I ovulate during the night of day 15 / 16 like clockwork, so know when to pounce !! We'll have been engaged ten years on Monday (might get married sometime !!) so have relapsed into comfortable companionship and the BD'ing frenzy of TTC is a bit much !

iggypiggy · 05/12/2008 10:45

Boosieboo - that is impressive BDing!!!

I think I need to make more of an effort.... December will be the month for BDing I have decided

Was expecting AF today - but not really had any symptoms.. am usually 27 day cycle.. but have had 32 day one a couple of months ago - so could just be that...

BoosieBoo · 05/12/2008 12:30

Gosh, reading that back it sounds like an icredible amount, though at the time it was lots of fun and felt like when we first got together. To be honest it was quite nice to kick start things again, as it's all been a bit in the doldrums since having DS. Like you Jools we've been together for a long time, 10 years last month and I totally know what you mean by comfortable companionship. I was just so determined last month, but during the 2ww I did think there's no way we could do that again this month!

smileycat · 05/12/2008 16:56

Boosieboo my DH is impressed with your BDing says he's up for the challenge of beating it this month & is going for more than 10 to beat your score (w'll see if he can keep at it) he read an artical in Men's Health that said the more the better for sperm quality & he's really up for the challege.
Just had friends over with a 6 month baby boy, had a little hold & it was really nice, my DH said he didn't expect to feel so broody (which is lovely to here) & my DS was brilliant with him
Booked my appointment to see the gyni for the 7th Jan to have my one remaining ovary checked for cysts or to see if the ones that were there have grown any & I though I would start the ball rolling with her if we don't manage to conceive next month to find out if there are any problems why we havn't been sucessful, hopfully she will run some tests that way we will know one way or another

BoosieBoo · 05/12/2008 17:03

Glad to be an inspiration smiley - looks like you're going to be busy!

Heebychick · 05/12/2008 19:25

Hi ladies,

Sorry have been mega busy the last couple of days and have just had chance to catch up.
My SIL watched that programme and loved it, she said it was really interesting, shame i missed it! Mind you with the tiredness i'm suffering from i couldn't of stayed up.

becky i am almost 8 weeks now, i thought i was 9 but when i had my scan she took me back a few days to 7+3 on wednesday just gone.
I went off food as well and now i have found sea sickness wrist bands i am feeling tons better without the nausea so managing to eat better, but am off greasy or creamy foods and only really want fresh or salty foods(bring on the marmite on toast!)

As for jobs i was a senior manager when i had baby number 1 and worked long shifts, it was clear that i'd have to leave afterwards as i couldn't go back and work short shifts or part time, which was hard to cope with, the company took it well but TBH once i'd gone on maternity leave i totally forgot all those 'oh yes i'll be back as normal asap' conversations, i was totally smitten with bubba and happy to leave work and pursue a much more rewarding (tho badly paid) mummy job! good luck with telling work etc, it can be tough but i'm sure things will be fine if you are open with them and honest.

boosie this proves it - frequency works! well done, very impressive! and if it helps we haven't done it since either! (not properly anyway) because i've been paranoid of something happening - one extreme to the next!

VillageMum · 05/12/2008 19:37

Hi everyone,

Cindy, great that your test result was so reassuring; you must be really pleased!

BoosieBoo, thanks for feedback on Preseed and my goodness your BD record last month is impressive - whether that or the Preseed, you were obviously doing something right!

We have been following the DP this month and think I've just ov'd so will be starting the 2WW pretty soon...

Sans04 · 06/12/2008 03:50

Cindy - sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I bought my preseed on Amazon. It was one that offered 5 free pregnancy tests with it. The package came the next day I think. I like Amazon a lot more than e-bay.
