Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Oh good luck Smiley. Being late is about the best sign there is I think. I've never really done the temping thing so not sure of the implications of ups and downs.

Let us know how you get on later!

C1NDY · 03/12/2008 13:34

Jools I am hearing about people pregnant and its driving me mad also, but I know our time will come, so focus and be positive!! (hugs)

Ilovebeingamummy · 03/12/2008 15:01

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages. I wish I could send you all your BFP's too...failing that I send you babydust and the ability to stay sane whilst ttc xx

I have mild nausea and a feeling of having been kicked in the nether regions. But no cramps so I am staying positive for now that this bean is sticky..

((hugsx)) to all

pinkie08 · 03/12/2008 16:12

Hi all,

Well done to the recent BFPs, I have started spotting so Af is on course for the 5th. I guess thats another month over for me.

I am so fed up with it all that i feel like i cant even be bothered.

Only one rounf of clomid left, fortunately the gynae is prepared to refer me to fertility specialist but goodness knows how long that will all take.

Patience is not my virtue

anyway heres to an alcoholic xmas

smileycat · 03/12/2008 16:45

well caved in and did a test BFN so guess I've just got to wait for her to arrive, tipical I have had a 25 day AF for the last 4 months & now it looks like I'm back to a 28 day, guess I'll be testing closer to New Year next month instead of Xmas , but at least I can enjoy the 3 parties I am going to next wk without having to look like I'm drinking but sneaking tonic without the gin
Hi bubblebell & C1ndy I'll keep you company on the next 2WW

funtimewincies · 03/12/2008 18:38

Ilove - Congratulations !

Sorry that AF has arrived C1NDY and I'm banging pans together loudly (it might work )to keep the witch away for you Smiley.

Welcome bubblebelle !

Heebychick · 03/12/2008 21:11

Evening ladies!

smiley i'm sorry about AF honey, i guess it looks like your days have extended this time like you say which is so unfair!

c1ndy sorry also to you babe, at least it means you can move on now and focus on next month.

I had a scan today, all is perfect, i feel so relieved!

yellowflowers · 04/12/2008 08:42

great about scan heeby. Sorry C1ndy - at least we've got each other again this month.

Had funny thought yesterday - a what if I'm that woman in a million who has periods and low temps all through and one day gets pain and gives birth without knowing she was pregnant. hahahahaha. Do you ever think that's you? Temp doing funny things - went up today - hope I have not ovulated early as dh ill so no bding even though it is day 9 today so dp should start. but as I have usual 30 day cycle at least thought probs safe to start dp on day 10.

VillageMum · 04/12/2008 10:02

Hello everyone!

Cindy, sory to hear your AF is here but glad that you're sounding so positive!

smiley, enjoy those parties if AF arrives!

yellow, a friend of mine was five months pg before she realised - I've often wondered: how on earth?? (She thought she was just putting on weight!)

Heeby, fantastic news about your scan!

Well, we are now properly in the 'fertile window' so here's hoping!

C1NDY · 04/12/2008 10:02

Heeby great news!! it must have felt wonderful to see the little bean.

AF arrived yesterday, making my cycle now an average of 29 days, which is very odd for me as I am normally a 28 day cycle. Doing a fertility test tomorrow... you have to do it on day 3 of AF and I will have to wait half an hour for the results. Will let you all know what the outcome is.

Smiley great to have you with me on the 2WW, it will be fun!!!

jools I rushed my last note to you. What I was trying to say... is that I have heard of so many of my friends getting pregnant, I am of course happy for them but am a little jealous its not me (not sure if jealous is the right word!!). But like I say my time will come. I am sure it will come for all of us as long as we stay focussed and positive.

I am going to relax a little this month and am going to start bding a little later in my cycle ... CD10 (rather than CD8)

Speak to you all soon
Was late in to work today so have a lot of catching up to do.

Laters
Cindy

iggypiggy · 04/12/2008 10:24

Great news Heeby

yellow and Villagemum - I have a similar story - the sister of a friend of mine was 6 months before she discovered she was pregnant! What confuses me is this:

  1. she was ttc - so why didn't she check before?
  2. Didn't she notice the lack of AF?!

My friend said her sister tends to be a bit dozy... but really! She had put on alot of weight...

smileycat · 04/12/2008 10:38

Heeby fantastic news about seeing your little bean on the screen, it must make it seems all the more real for you now
Well started spoting last night & AF arrived during the night sometime so back to CD1 today

We are skiing over Xmas so really looking forward to being on the slopes & not worring that I would be hurting the little bean if I had a fall & then hopfully have some good news for New Year. I was a Sept baby so hopfully that is a good omen, heres to lots of Virgo babies

Morning all

Great news on the scan Heeby - I'm only a little

I walked to work in the rain this morning - got there, coat off, unpacked my bag - no laptop - grrr. So, on with the coat and a 25 min walk back home. I've elected to work from home for the rest of day and giving thanks that I wasn't travelling further afield !

Re not noticing pregnancies - my sis fell PG whilst still (just) a teenager and on the pill - didn't really notice anything other than weight gain till she was 5 mths, was then scanned fortnightly to ensure the pill hadn't affected development - her DS will be 14 on Christmas Day

I was thinking this morning - I thought I'd ovulated, but I normally get tender boobs a couple of days post ov, so am guessing I didn't - that begs the question of what on earth my cycle is doing I know it's only been just over 3 weeks, but I'm getting impatient and want to start TTC again !

Jools1 · 04/12/2008 10:49

Wasabi - I wanted to say thankyou for your lovely message yesterday

wasabipeanut · 04/12/2008 10:53

Welcome Bubblebell

Well last night was a bit rubbish. I got all upset because I was ill during my most fertile time and dh was perfectly nice but basically said he couldn't see why I was so obsessed with ttc

I suppose there isn't too much of a rush but I'll be 36 in February. Just feel like time is running away with me. And every month something happens to reduce bding frequancy.

Having said all that we did end up bding last night so all is not entirely lost.

wasabipeanut · 04/12/2008 10:57

Jools - I just hope my message made you feel better

Heeby - Sorry I forgot to say congrats on your scan. It's a lovely feeling to see your little bean wriggling around on screen!

yellowflowers · 04/12/2008 11:00

sorry about af smiley and hope you feel better soon wasabi - also hope things better soon jools. iggypiggy and village - you are naughty telling me those stories (though I love to hear them!) - now I'll think it will happen to me. Did your friends not do tests when no period? or did they get periods?

Pezzina · 04/12/2008 11:27

Hi all,

Fab news on the scan Heeby I?m glad everything is ok.

How?s everyone else doing?

I?m on CD 11 and my DH and I are taking a much more relaxed approached to TTC this month. Last month we BD?d every day leading up to my fertile window and quite frankly it got to be too much of a chore by the end of it. There was a thought in the back of my mind saying ?do you really want to conceive your baby like this?? So, we?ve decided to slow down the Bding ? making each one more enjoyable and fun and less of a ?chore?.

I?ve also decided not to do the OPK?s this month.

Basically ? I?ve told myself I?ve got to relax and not agonise about it so much.

We?ll see how long it lasts hey?!

I'll be interested to hear how your test goes Cindy

iggypiggy · 04/12/2008 11:29

sorry yellow I don't know... at the time I just had incredibly incredulous conversations with my friend (who's sister it was) saying 'but how did she not notice'

Think the DC is 3 now...

Imagine only having 3 months to prepare tho

Jools1 · 04/12/2008 12:50

Just a quick reminder to our graduates that there IS an antenatal thread set up by graduates of the first grapefruit drinkers TTC thread. We could do with a bit more life over there (yes, I do still chat on there, despite my situation !!)

I'm not trying to drag anyone away from here - just thought I'd drum up support and offer it up for anyone who might like to discuss early pregnancy niggles and worries without taking over this TTC thread

C1NDY · 04/12/2008 13:30

Pinkie Sorry that AF has arrived! You can join me on my next 2WW. Yes, it is another month over but think positive its going to be a lucky Xmas month? I can feel it, what a wonderful way to end the year. Take time out now, time to have that drink of wine ? perhaps one or two or even more and then reassess the situation. I do not know a lot about Clomid so cannot tell you what other options you can do. But at least your getting something done in terms of speaking to a specialist. (hugs) I know its very hard but if getting a beany was easy it wouldn?t be that precise to us. :0)

Smileycat Thanks for updating my profile. So looking forward to testing on New Year?s Day? goush can you imagine it, it will be perfect? I am definitely on a mission this month!!! Roll on fertile period.

Bubblebell Of course you can join us ?Welcome?

Jools that happened to us last month, both of us had a stinking cold during the most fertile time? I cryed and got really upset that DH couldn?t bd? he actually turned around and was quite upset with me that I hadn?t even cared how he was thinking ? so I had to eat humble pie!! We do get really obsessed with it all, because we want it so bad. My DH can?t see what the rush is, he is five year younger than me?. yes, my toyboy? I just don?t think they understand what we are doing to ensure we get the bfp. My fingers and toes are crossed for you also? loads of babydust going your way ~~~~~~~~~~

Pezzina I like your approach? I will be doing something like that this month as the bding has got really routine ? no OPK?s this month (gulp) are you going to temp and CM watch??? I will let you know about my test, I am taking it tomorrow morning ? really excited ? whatever the outcome at least I will know if there are eggs there or not.

smileycat · 04/12/2008 14:10

Just made myself feel much better I've made fruit scones & muffins & they are yummy, my boys will be sooooo pleased when they get in, I've just had one & have made enough to pass you all a taste....hope you like them
