Im trying for an August baby

Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

I have read somewhere that the dose needs to be reasonably high so i get the 1000mg capsules from tesco. Also, it should only be taken up until ovulation as it can cause uterine contractions and effect implantation. Only read this after starting to take it but have also read that flaxseed oil is a good alternative and can be taken throughtout your cycle.

Sans - were the lines of the same darkness? If so you may be ovulating now - you have a short cycle so go for it!

I got a OPK +ve this morning on CD12 so now in 2WW territory but having some more bding tonight and tomorrow for good measure

Hi RipMacWinkle sorry that you are feeling so down, when AF arrived for me on Tues I was gutted to. Lets both try to be positive, try chanting "it will happen this month" "it will happen this month"

Cheers WSB - am feeling a bit better now. Feel a bit silly, everyone's in the same boat so I know everyone gets disappointed when af arrives.

But I'll join you in that chant this month....

How is everyone doing? Ripmac I hope you are feeling a bit better, I know how you feel with AF turning up yet again. Well, our plan of BDing every night went out the window! Too tiring! And it's freezing at night so we just get in and cuddle under the duvet. We BD'd last night though and I'm only on CD15 so I won't have OVd yet anyway. I'm sure once I get any OV signs I'll jump on DH LOL!

Hi Rip, Sorry to hear of AF arriving

It is so hard not to feel down. I find it amazing the way my thinking is cyclical as well as my hormones. I was so low with my period, really despondant. Then I had whole days where I was ambivalent about ttc, now I am really keen to give it a really good shot iykwim ! Then, I am sure I will become obsessed and unable to think of anything else for a good fortnight. Bizarre .

At least we're all in it together!

Doesn't time fly. It doesn't like more than a few days ago that I was devastated at AF arriving and already we're only a week away from BFPs for those at the top of the list. Good luck everyone.

I am a bit confused I nedd a help yesterday I did Ov test and the was two line same color, so me and DH wen bding last night, but I just did anither test now and there is only one line which is C line, so need help could that be possible I had ovulated and the sugar level went down that quick?

Sans04, I'm sure your not meant to do OPks in the morning. All the info i have read says to do them in the afternoon as that is when you produce your LH and also you shouldn't drink for 2-3 hours before testing. If I would you I would try again at about 4 this afternoon.

bluesatinsash thank you I think that is it I ovulated during last 2 days ago.

LJ29: thank you for careing, you're very right, when i collect the urine for the test it was just like a water, it was very light because I've drank too much water, afternoon at 5.00pm I went to my GP and I showed him the thursday's stick, he said go home and do another one and see if you get the same (no line)because you seems like you either ovulated thursday or you goona ovulate today based on the Ov'stick from thursday, and he was right when I came home after half in houre I did another one and there was to line but I could see that the T line was just a little bit litter than a C line, so I think that I've ovulated but atleaset we had a goodbding during these two days, so I'll be positive and wait 2WW.

morning everyone. another one feeling despondent here. I am still spotting, presumably from my coming off the pill, which i stopped over 2 weeks aago. then again, am iright in thinking you can spot when you're ovulating? I have slight amount of pain too.
I did opk last night but no line, might bd tonight just in case.
I know i shouldnt expect everything to go back to normal stright away, i'm just soooooo impatient!!

Trying very hard not to symptom spot, esp as am only 3 dpo and still have early pg symptoms from the hcg injection. The time I got pg through IUI I went away in the final week and forced myself to leave the test at home, so didn't do any early testing, so am going to try really hard not to test early this month, despite having 20 internet cheapies and three cb digitals in the house (BTW cb is 20% off at Sainsburys at mo). Good luck everyone.

bexxa, i am using first response opk, used them and boots own last time and they worked for me.
Can anyone help? i'm on cd10 and just now have got a very very faint line on my opk - does this mean i am entering my few days before ovulation and the line will get stronger till ov? had some funny pains today and a bit of spotting.
dh is asleep so no bd tonight

Hello ladies. I'm going to take myself off the list as not feeling positive at all this month so 99.9% certain I won't fall pregnant. DH & I have been working a bit too much, then he's away for a couple of nights and also DD has been poorly (i.e. a lot of night wakenings) so we have hardly BDed and won't get many opportunities now (sad as I had some EWCM today & yest). Plus my head is really in the wrong place right now and really if we delay TTC for a couple of months this might be better all round...

I did another OPK this morning that gave a strong pink line, same colour as control line, but the pains i am getting are stronger, right down next to my left hip.i've never had this before. will try to bd tonight but i don't know whether i've missed my chance or what. was hoping to wake dh and pester him but dd woke before us all and came into our bed!!

Olivo, i think that when you get the strong line it means you will ovulate in the next few days so get BD'ing!!!
