Hello everyone, last night shift tonight, better get my beauty sleep to start some serious bd'ing over the next week or so. I'm feeling quite left out

homeinthesun - I know what you mean about just using dh for his sperm. Sometimes I jump on dh and he usually asks me "you ovulating?" in that sceptical way... I throw in the odd non baby making nookie just so I can innocently say "me? no babes, it's just because I love you so much" Can get very routine otherwise can't it?

Implantation pains.... sorry, can't remember who asked the question... when I conceived ds I had very strong implantation pains on New Years Eve... now according to my dates I must have ov'd on about the 28th/29th December, so I'm not sure about the whole 7-10 days thing. Maybe I've got very short tubes or something as it's usually three DPO that I implant. It was the same with the pregnancy I miscarried. I think I ov'd on the saturday, and I told myself if I feel those sharp pains on Tuesday then I'm pg. Lo and behold, sharp pains on Tuesday. I was sceptical, as I thought I'd probably made myself feel them as I'd thought about it, but I was pg, so I can't have imagined them.

Anyway, that's my experience, everyone's different though.

Glad to hear you're feeling so much more relaxed now wishing, keep it up. Good luck to everyone else on the 2ww xx

Hello All
well, I'm DEFINITELY out for this month as AF arrived in fine style this morning! As someone who hasn't had AF since May, I'm possibly the only person on this thread to be OVERJOYED to have a period! Okay, so I'm not PG but on the bright side, my body is working again - yeehaa!

To those currently symptom-spotting: not sure if this helps or hinders, but one of the very, very first signs I was PG (before sore boobs, nausea, dizziness, whatever) was constipation! Sorry if this is TMI, but I'd really swear I needed a poo then have trouble going. I also had really bad stomach pains, almost to the point I thought I had food poisoning. No way did I think I was PG, yet those were the first signs for me: really sore tummy, not as though AF was arriving but much sharper pains. Sorry for sharing! Good luck to all and can't wait for some BFPs - I feel sure they're round the corner.

Wishing you do sound like you're starting to symptom spot honey! After seeing just how distressed you were last month please don't do it to yourself. I'm all for being positive but also think that we put ourselves through the most dreadful trauma by getting ourselves excited every month. Try distraction techniques, through yourself into work, read a new book, do some exercise etc.

We're all here to support you!!

Wishing · 19/11/2008 22:08

thanks lj29 im not going to get too ecited i promise dont worry i cant do that to myself again!! it was a horrible time and i lost about 2 weeks of my life!! thanks for thinking fo me though, i wont get silly with all of this, its impossible not to let your mind start wondering but i have so much to do to get ready for xmas and with work i wont be putting all my efforts into this! i promise and and if you think i am getting ridiculous feel free to slap me!! xxxxxx

Wishing · 19/11/2008 22:09

oops that was supposed to say excited!! missed the x!!!

HeadFairy · 20/11/2008 01:16

Great news sunnydale... so nice to know where you are.

Wishing - I'm sure everyone's different. My sister never felt any implantation pains, mine were so definite, I knew what they were even though I'd never been pg. Good luck with not symptom spotting.

FWIW I always feel like I'm pg when I'm not, someone told me that after ov your progesterone levels rise up a bit in anticipation of implantation of a fertilised egg. If at about 10dpo there's no fertilised egg the progesterone levels start to drop off. Raised progesterone levels can mimic pregnancy signs, sore boobs, nausea and so on. I always ignore any signs until af is late as I usually put it down to changing progsterone levels. When I was pg with ds, pregnancy symptoms didn't really start properly until I was about 7 weeks pg. It was noticeably different to the odd waves of nausea I usually get on the 2ww, much much stronger, wretching and heaving but thankfully no sickness.

Anyway, that's my experience. I'm terrible at practising what I preach though

HeadFairy · 20/11/2008 01:17

oops, forgot to add. Sorry about af Issy

smileycat · 20/11/2008 07:11

Hi Evie on the temping side. I do my temps I got a +ive 2 days ago & my temp did a big jump this morning showing that I have now def OV'd. It tends to stay low while you are OVing & then jumps up when the progesterone levels kick in & then should stay up until AF is on her way. Can I join you all on the 2WW I will be away for the wkend from tonight so wont be able to check in again till Monday but at least it will take my mind of early symptom spotting then only 1 week left to wait as I only have a 12 day LF

SpecialOffer · 20/11/2008 07:18

Well I caved in yesterday, way too early to test, and got a BFN, am not going to test again until next Monday as AF is not due for almost a week.

I have got some of the cheapies off e-bay, do people find them reliable? They are a bargin!! I am also looking to get some ov sticks from there, anyone had any experience. Don't think i would be any good at temp!!

SpecialOffer · 20/11/2008 07:20

Oh and please could I be added to the list
Specialoffer TTC#2 usual cycle is 28-32 days CD23

lillypie · 20/11/2008 08:01

Morning ladies could I have some opinions please.

Yesterday morning I had a big temp dip ov pain and ewcm but only CD9!!This morning temp is on the rise but still have ov pain and ewcm.

What do you think early ov or just my body being tricky.

I rugby tackled DP when I got home from work last night and I'll get the bugger tonight too just to be on the safe side.

bubblebell1 · 20/11/2008 08:29

happpy birthday suzi hope you got what you wanted

im going to test monday. im so nervous/excited.

sorry about af turning up. i hope this next cycle is the 1 for you.

bubblebell1 · 20/11/2008 08:30

sorry....... missed out.. sorry for those of you whose af turned up.. my bad

RipMacWinkle · 20/11/2008 08:46

Morning all - how is everyone?

Sorry to hear about af appearing Issy and Sunnydale.

I saw on other threads that Makka and ChubbyDick are out so I moved them off the list - I hope they don't mind.

On CD15 here. Done a bit of BDing these last few days but not sure if we started a bit late. Trying (say this every month but this month it's true) to stay focussed on work, DS, basically anything except ttc. We'll see if that works. Or if I end up as obsessed as other months!

Anyway, love to you all - here's hoping August is our month

smileycat · 20/11/2008 08:50

Lilypie I thought I OV'd early last month (was only doing temping) as I had the same as you lots of EWCM & my temp went up for 2 days, it then came down on day 3 & went up again on day 4 & stayed up. FF put the second temp rise as my OV date, I had done lots of BDing for my dates but only one for FF (hense not pg last month). This might be whats happening to you. I've backed it up this month with OPK sticks so I'm 100% sure now that my temp rise this morning is def my OV finished..good luck keep BDing just incase

smileycat · 20/11/2008 08:54

Meant to also add I would have been CD11 for my dates & FF put me at CD14 when I actually OV'd

evie2000 · 20/11/2008 08:58

thanks smileycat and olivio - appreciate your words of wisdom. Sadly didnt' manage to bd last night as DH home late and stressed out so didn't feel I could. Am hoping that the multiple other days will have done the job as temp has now gone up. I think it's been steadily climbing rather than one big leap!
GOod luck to all and sorry to everyone who has AF. I know myself the first few days are the hardest and i get very down but I hope you all manage to pull yourselves up and embrace the ttc for the next session!

evie2000 · 20/11/2008 09:00

oh and smileycat you are more than welcome to join me on the dreaded 2ww. I told DH I wasn't going to test at all this month as we're away for the weekend next weekend and then on holiday and it gets me down every time. He said that was really silly cos I'd just end up totally distracted and only able to think about that and building hopes up so i've realised he's right and there just is no right in this situation!

smallone · 20/11/2008 09:23

Morning all, I've started my BDing, gonna try for a marathon session this month. So far CD 6 & 7, but more coz we felt like it than anything else, although I think DH is determined this month, as every few nights when he comes home I tell him of someone else who is pregnant!

Does anyone know anything about CM? I've not gone into this before but I thought it might be worth a look at! My question is, (TMI alert) If you have BD'd the previous day, how do you know who's it is? I ask because bd'd on day 6 and on day 7 I had globby stretchy CM, but that can't be ov can it? on day 7? confused!

smileycat · 20/11/2008 09:35

smallone they say you can tell the difference by stretching it between your fingers, his will break after only a little stretch but your will stay stretchy & not break, but otherwise they do look the same

girlwithacurl · 20/11/2008 09:48

Hi everyone, just checking in as I am on the long wait before BD marathon starts.

Sorry Issy and Sunny

Specialoffer... bad you for testing early! I totally understand the desire but its not good!

good luck everyone on the 2ww!

lillypie · 20/11/2008 09:49

smileycat thanks I have a pretty regular cycle and usually ov around day 14 hence the confusion.

I'll just keep bding until FF charts my ov

hohum

spats · 20/11/2008 12:43

my laptop is broken so haven't been able to log in for few days. I have withdrawal symptoms. Having to quickly use DH computer when he pops into town. He works at home and is on it 24/7 so can't get on this one. There has been so much actibvity in last few days haven't got time to catch up, except seeing Wishing symtom spot again!! Naughty girl!! Fingers crossed though, you deserve it after the rough maonth last time. I am CD9 and doing DP this month which meant i had to BD last night and really wasn't in mood, think it is going to be hard work this DP. I am really tired as DS been up last two nights so tired and grumpy doesn't give me a drive to BD!! I am drinking my grapefruit like a good girl and taking a load of vits for different things, i think i will rattle. I have a load of OPK for a friend who got them off ebay so will use them this month alongside my clearplan ones to check they work, then i can use the cheaper ones in the next few monts. May make a trip to Dr to check hormones , as 35 noext month think i can get away with saying we have tried for 6 months rather than the year needed if your a younger model!!. Reassuring to get everything checked i think. Well gotta go as DH back. Happy BD and babydust to you all. I hate not logging in everyday, what did we do without computers!! xx
