Congrats 2beautiful, great news
af arrived on Thursday for me, so cd3 today. Was quite down about it on Thursday, but over that now, too busy to dwell on it too much Fertile time for me this month inclues my b'day so I know what I want as a present

insywinsyspider · 14/09/2008 20:39

hi all, just checking in, getting fed up of ttc already - caught myself day dreaming bout baby names today only on cd 9...on plus side lovely weekend, hows everyone else doing?

pulapula · 14/09/2008 20:47

Hello everyone,

I thought I would join you. I have DD 3.9y and DS 15mo and have been ttc no.3 for 3 months now (started when periods returned). Not sure why we think it is such a good idea (2 is hard enough!) but DH is one of 4 and I am one of 3 so think we both enjoyed having siblings around. I didn't particularly enjoy being the middle child, but DS is easy-going so should be OK with it.

I'm on CD28 and last cycle was 31 days. Tried a test today and got a very feint line but thinking it was possibly an evaporation line as it took a long time to appear and i wasn't watching the clock. I will test again tomorrow (too impatient to wait longer).

Sorry to hear that some of you have had your AF this month. I hope we get some BFP soon and I am hoping my AF stays away.

And hi MadMarriedNika if you are still looking at this thread.

madmarriedNika · 14/09/2008 22:30

Hi pulapula!
Glad you have joined us...and sounds like you might be lucky this month, fingers crossed- let us know tomorrow!

I think I'm on CD10 today so time to get down to business...Have no idea when I ovulate but a friend said with a 28 day cycle you could ovulate anytime between CD10 & 17- so each time she's conceived she's BDed at least every other day throughout that period and it's worked straightaway! Just feel full of cold and not at my most attractive right now...hmm...

Good luck everyone, especially those on the dreaded 2WW....

pulapula · 15/09/2008 07:50

Hi MMN,

Well I did another test, and there is a very feint line again (have to hold it up to the light!) but it was there within the 5 min the test says you might have to wait, so guess I might be pg. Just feel like AF is on her way. Have also had a very early m/c before (5 weeks) so am trying not to get excited. Have 3 more cheap ebay tests left and if this carries on, I will be going to the shops to get a digital test to make sure one way or the other. Will keep u posted

insywinsyspider · 15/09/2008 13:57

ooo pulapula that sounds promising, I got v faint +ve's with ds2 that got darker each day so fingers crossed for you - keep us posted

madmarried - same cd as me, whats your cycle length? we might be on 2ww together, I'm not sure what mine is tho as this is first cycle since having ds2 so who knows

madmarriedNika · 15/09/2008 22:32

oooh pulapula, it does sound like you have a tentative BFP (after all, you can get false negatives but not false positives), keeping everything crossed for you. So sorry to hear you had an early miscarriage before- it must be very hard having had that experience to let yourself get excited at this early stage, but hope this is a "sticky bean" as they say on these boards! Keep us posted.

Insy- my cycle length is bang on 28 days- I'm lucky that I'm regular as clockwork usually, but when I was on the minipill everything went to pot (in fact I bled constantly- not impressed!) and so this is now my 3rd cycle since coming off that (last 2 have been 28 days thankfully)

Will be great to be able to share the 2ww wait with you and hopefully resist early testing & too much symptom spotting!

insywinsyspider · 16/09/2008 13:41

I don't know about not symptom spotting - I'll just be on here comparing notes with you! I'm using ov tests, nothing yet but hopefully if +ve in next couple of days will have a reasonable cycle - knowing my luck it'll be really long. Only had one cycle after stopping bf ds1 and conceiving ds2 and I ov'd cd23 so will have to see how this pans out!

insywinsyspider · 16/09/2008 13:42

any news pulapula? did you test again this am or do you have more self control than I would

pulapula · 16/09/2008 21:22

Hi Insy, no self-control here- bought two digital tests yesterday (did manage to resist using them straightaway which was something) and used one this morning- definitely positive!

I hope you and MMN (and everyone else trying)have a good month and will be joining me soon.

MMN- thanks for your words of kindness- at least it was very early, but I already find myself "knicker-spotting" lol. I was lucky that I got an early "reassurance" scan with DS which made the wait til the 12 week scan more bearable.

terrier141 · 17/09/2008 11:40

Huge congrats pula!! Good luck with it all xx

Ilovebeingamummy · 17/09/2008 12:48

Hi all

lovely to see this thread got busy! We were away in spain for a week...around when i thought was ov time. But now i think i'm going mad, got it all wrong and just want to cry tbh.

I am obsessed with using pregnancy tests (every day for over a week now. I am on CD29 today but I'm not sure how long cycles are as this is 1st month of trying. No sign at all of af yet and I have been nauseous for days, worse in the morning, swollen tummy, hot a night, lots of toilet trips.

I just want to know one way or the other. Hope i am not alone really

Ilovebeingamummy · 17/09/2008 12:49

forgot to say but its probably obvious - all the tests are completely negative. Even tried (wasted) my free clearblue with conception test (which says from 4days before af and bought a first response 6 days early one. All -ve.

OP posts:
insywinsyspider · 18/09/2008 08:48

congrats again pulapula!

Ilovebeingamummy - sorry to hear you're finding it so hard, I have to say you're not alone, I've been though that obessively testing faze at times, I'm not sure how you get past it, I usually buy the cheap tests online so it doesn't cost me a fortune I find that charting helps me too as then I know exactly when have ov'd and when to test, don't really know what to say, just keep coming on here and chatting bout it, that always helps me when I think I'm going mad x

Ilovebeingamummy · 18/09/2008 18:38

Thanks insy. Feeling vaguely more sane today as had two toddlers with temperatures to look after (and be up with all night!) so have not had time to think about it.

On CD30 today which I think is late but still -ve this morning Got period type pains (which I never have before af usually), and lower back ache. So the wait continues...I just wish if af is coming it would just come!!

Congrats pulapula- fab news

insywinsyspider · 21/09/2008 22:15

its v quite on here - I feel like the month doesn't move fast enough.... still not ov'd cd16.... bored of waiting

hope everyone had lovely weekends x

Ilovebeingamummy · 21/09/2008 22:28

hi insy! hope you had some sun where you are...

I am on cd32 now and still no af and -ve tests. feel like i must be dreaming it all. Read that 24th sept at 5 weeks is most reliable date for test basing it on my lmp of 20th aug so am trying to hold out til then!

OP posts:
insywinsyspider · 22/09/2008 14:23

hello, had some lovely weather, dh was away but managed to keep boys entertained - just knackered now as didn't have a weekend break... and dh woke me up for bd last night... hard to resist when ttc! not very romantic, I think dh is taking advantage of situation

I'm got my fingers crossed for you, not sure I could last till 24th! but good luck

Ilovebeingamummy · 23/09/2008 10:04

I got a BFP!!!!

(well more of a TFP (tiny faint positive!!) last night- rechecked the test (a first response) and there it is. Should've had more patience in watching it!! Am going to do another one in a couple of days hope it gets darker!

Thank goodness - am now off to cancel appt with the shirnk

insywinsyspider · 23/09/2008 19:39

ok v happy for you all honest I am but makes me too, is there anyone else out there who is actually still ttc??? or am I alone now on no 3??

Ilovebeingamummy · 23/09/2008 20:01

I am sure you are not alone insy. And its unusual to do it on the 1st cycle..... we were bding daily from day 9 to 18 too (sorry tmi but could be worth a go rather than trying to pin down ov day?... if you can find the energy (not sure where i got it from tbh!)

Where are you in cycle now? CD18?

OP posts:
fedupofbeingfedup · 23/09/2008 20:06
