I'm on cycle no 4 ttc no 3 - have ds1 3.6, and ds2 2 next week - thought it might have happened this month as i am now on day 38!! but no period and no BFP either!! v strange

insywinsyspider · 20/08/2008 20:33

Hello - I've ds1 2yrs 3mo and ds2 8 mo and ttc no 3 - no cycle since ds2 was born, now 7 wks since stopped bfeeding... still waiting for af so can ttc properly!

Ilovebeingamummy · 22/08/2008 19:46

HI both

Wow insywinsyspider love your age gaps!
Think I recognise your name katylou - did you use mumsnet when pg before? Maybe your bfp is still on its way??

I am still breastfeeding 18mth old (he almost weaned then got re-addicted thanks to teething and my lack of will power!) so I am hoping that I can conceive despite the feeding (af returned when he was 12 months so I have had 6mths of regular cycles am reading lots into that!)

Am now on CD3 and feel like AF will last forever because I'm so keen to start the business of ttc.... I only convinced DH on Wed

Hey girls
I've DS 2.9 and DD 1. TTC3. First Cycle and in the 2WW. AF due in about three days. Feeling weird but don't know if pg. Belly bloated, sickness but no sore boobs or brown discharge, (sorry tmi),very little cramps. I don't want to have false hope so won't do test till AF is due.

scully · 26/08/2008 02:39

Hiya, also ttc no3. dd1 is 6 and dd2 is 2.5. Had a m/c in Aug last year and a 2nd one in April this year so this is our 2nd cycle of ttc since the 2nd m/c. Didn't want quite such a big gap between any of them, but can't help it with 2m/c in 6mths, so figure there must be a reason for it all......

insywinsyspider · 26/08/2008 20:11

Ilovebeingamummy - only got slightly smaller age gap than you at the moment I'm just keen to have all my family close together but I think nature has different plans - still no af, I think I'm going to make GP app tomorrow to find out when I should get worried

inni - tested yet?

scully - sorry to hear about your m/c's I hope that it happens for you soon, have you got regular cycle now?

katylou - af yet? or BFP???

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 27/08/2008 15:09

Hi. Am on cycle 3 on TTC No3. Third time lucky maybe?! Have DD1 (from 1st marriage) who is 7 next month and DD2 (from current marriage) who is 2.7 yrs old. Had mmc in Nov 07 and mc in Mar 08. Stopped TTC for 4 months after second m/c to get head back together again. Finding it incredibly tough to go thru 2ww. Just like you guys, would have loved smaller age gap. Am worried about my age as well (38) and just wish that I could get pg NOW .

What's everyone doing/using/taking to help them ttc?

This month I'm leaving nothing to chance . So have started temping, got my OPK, been taking vits for ages, limited alcohol, good food, moderate exercise, Pre Seed.

Have I missed anything?

scully · 28/08/2008 11:43

Don't think you've missed anything HTGG I'm lucky if I remember to use opk's regularly But I did get a positive on one tonight, but of course dh is away, so hopefully tomorrow night won't be too late
Insy, I've been having acupuncture since April and that has got my cycles regular again, would recommend it.

insywinsyspider · 28/08/2008 22:48

scully - i've booked in for reflexology in a couple of weeks, the idea of acupuncture makes me slightly queemish, reflexologist said I should have a period after 3 treatments and after then twin it with acupuncture so trying that to start with

not great for you dh is away but LH surge is before ov so tomorrow should still be worth a shot

madmarriedNika · 29/08/2008 12:58

Can I join you ladies please?
I have DS 3.4yrs, DD 14 month & TTC#3
This is second cycle, I'm in the 2WW, think about CD23 now. Not very hopeful this month as DCs & myself went away for 8 days right over my fertile period. But you never know! Conceived my 2 immediately we started trying last time so never even thought about OPKs etc. but I'm impatient this time and periods a bit all over the place since coming off cerazette so may start resorting to better dating etc.

Does anyone else ever wonder if they are mad to consider a 3rd?! Both DH & I always wanted 3 and have debated it long & hard and very convinced we want to have another but I had a tough week with my 2DCs and began to seriously wonder what we're letting ourselves in for...!
Good look to you all!

2beautifulgirls · 29/08/2008 13:31

Hi everyone, can i join you?
I have DD1 4.1 and DD2 2.2 and have been TTC#3 for 6 months. the other two weren't exactly planned just not very careful.
I'm currently on CD15 of a Usual 28-30 day cycle. This month i am using the Clue blue fertility monitor and so far am still on low fertility? I thought i Ovulated on CD14 but according to clearblue i am no where near yet? Perhaps i have been timing it all wrong.

So lets hope we are all here for a short ride and get our BFPs very soon Good luck to everyone, i'll be praying for you all.

terrier141 · 30/08/2008 12:31

Hi - can I join too please?
I have been ttc#3 for 5 mnths - but theres a twist - my new dh has had a vasectomy reversal - so we are not sure if its going to work.
I already have a dd aged 8 and a ds aged 6 - my dh also has a dd and a ds.
So this would be number 3 for both of us - but number 5 in total!!

HumphreysCorner · 30/08/2008 12:41

Hi, I am TTC No 3 and currently CD 16 on cycle 5. Am temping and using OPK's but my Fertility Friend and temps have gone to pot this month so no idea when I have OV'd. Have DD1 who is 5 and DD2 who is 2 and have friends who are expecting No3 and No4 which were complete surprises. 'Tis very hard this TTC lark. Just want AF to arrive so I can get my head around cycle 6.

Waves to everyone.

babyinarms · 30/08/2008 21:42

Hi all! Am on cycle 1 trying to conceive no 3.
I have DS 3.9 years and DD 11 months.
I think i may be pregnant though!
I am due AF on monday so putting off doing test until then but its killing me....becoming obsessed and its only month 1!!!
I have felt nauseated all week...never had this so ealy on other 2! I have had spotting for the last 3 days, seems to have stopped now, hoping its implantation bleed, but seems to have gone on a bit too long but def not AF either!

Anyway ladies...best of luck to us all, fingers crossed for no3.

insywinsyspider · 31/08/2008 21:58

wow this thread is getting nice and busy - I've lost track a bit - is anyone temperature charting? I did this for ds2 and am now on fertility friend for ttc no 3, my chart predicts that I'm 16 DPO but still no af - I did a pg test on 13 DPO and BFN.... guess I'll do another one in couple of days if no af, if I can wait that long

madmarried - def mad to go for no 3

scully · 01/09/2008 02:35

I have those moments as well, should we add to the noise and mess with a third, but have always like the idea of 3, will feel more finished than 2, hopefully
cd21 for me today, last cycle was 34 days, the 2 cycles before that were 28 days, so who knows what this one will bring

madmarriedNika · 01/09/2008 10:51

Oooh it's nice to see so many on here! Makes me feel a bit less mad!!!

AF due on Thurs, and am beginning to symptom spot even though I swore to myself I wouldn't. Keep getting quite faint or dizzy, which sometimes happens to me in early pregnancy (or else it could be just tiredness!). Resisting getting an early response test, just about- or the normal test under my desk!!! I keep thinking a BFP is very unlikely for me having had so little opportunity for BDing this month, but last time we conceived it happened also in spite of rare opportunities! Have no idea when I ovulate either, have never even tried to figure it out...just assume it'ts around CD14...

Right, rambling here...roll on Thurs!
Good luck all... don't you hate the 2WW!!

madmarriedNika · 01/09/2008 10:53

babyinarms- any news? Keeping fingers crossed for you!

HumphreysCorner · 02/09/2008 09:59

Did you test babyinarms?

insywinsyspider-any news from you? I am using FF and temping and using OPK's. My chart this month is rubbish as I had a +ive OPK on CD10 but FF has got me OVing on CD16 so now DPO 3. Means my luteal phase will only be 11/12 days as AF always arrives on CD27/28 and am now CD19. So confusing.

Hi to everyone else.

insywinsyspider · 02/09/2008 21:00

humpreyscorner - I'm equally as confused by my chart - its puts me 17 dpo today and a BFN on testing, still waiting for AF... for me this will be first af since had ds so I shouldn't expect it to be 'normal' just yet but I don't understand why I haven't had one yet and this is the first time since I started charting (been doing it 9 weeks now) that it predicted ov but I think it might just be my body messing around. I have cramps, nausea, sore boobs - all af signals so where is it??!! if they were pg signs instead I'd surely have BFP by now.... I in a rubbish mood as well (PMT??) and am pissed off today that my body isn't playing fair, I'd like to ttc no 3 but unless I have af how can I be in with a chance, I feel like its been months wasted on a ttc front

am hoping the rant will make me feel better

babyinarms · 02/09/2008 21:17

Hi everyone, did test yesterday and got BFP, am really happy but very worried as still having spotting...day 6 now. will phone GP tomorrow for advice.Fingers crossed!

insywinsyspider · 02/09/2008 21:37

congratulations babyinarms!! hope everything goes ok at docs x

HumphreysCorner · 02/09/2008 21:57

Oh what fabulous news babyinarms. Well done!

insywinsyspider-here is my chart Have been temping for 9 cycles and TTC for 5 cycles. Sounds like your body is being typically annoying over delaying your 1st AF. Has your temp dipped drastically yet as that is always a definite sign that AF is imminent.

insywinsyspider · 03/09/2008 09:50

thanks humprey - no I haven't had temp dip yet, my cover line is 36 and its still at 36.35 today (19 DPO) so FF removed its predictions as BFN... will work out how to link you to my chart....

terrier141 · 03/09/2008 11:09

Congrats babyinarms! Thats fab news! Hope some of your good luck rubs off on the rest of us! Im out this month anyway as af arrived yest.
Hope it all goes well for you - try to remember that early bleeding is quite common and usually fine - so fingers crossed for you! xx
