Hope you find the new thread!!!

wishanhopin,

wow you are a mystery??? who knows it may happen when you least expect it!!! so keep having loads of bedding!!! it is fun trying without the stress of ttc.
I am just going to have fun when dp gets back. I got a nice nurse uniform grrrrrrrrrrrr??

Heebeejeebee · 16/09/2008 15:45

Wishanhopion - that is bizarre... glad you rang for the referral though.

Cam - nurses uniform - you go girl! I bought some pheremone (sp?) wipes from Ann Summers which are supposed to drive men wild. DH leant over, sniffed and said "I know we don't have a rabbit, but has one peed on you?". I had to have a shower....

wishinanhopin · 16/09/2008 17:56

Yeah my body's a mystery. But I know everyone says that it happens when you STOP trying so damn hard. Have a roll in the hay without thinking am I ovulating, what position should we use?? It take the fun out of it. heebee-that phermone story is too funny. LOL

cam75 · 16/09/2008 19:24

heebee i nearly wet myself???? bet that took the passion out of it??

wishin positions???? well i have read that doggy style, and legs in the air afterwards. I read that dp is good, but then some people say that it's rubbish once it's in the cervix it's fine. just do it everyday can't hurt!!!! i did a week session and was it good it helps tone up the body???

clairebear88 · 17/09/2008 13:23

hahaha how funny heebee
The things we go through to try and get a bit of romance back. I have to admit it does get a bit regimental and defo takes some of the fun out. I suppose its what you make it.
Going to an Ann Summers party in Nov so maybe ill order a few bits

The body is such a weird and complex thing. This is my fear that I will have something wrong that noone can do anything about. Oh well fingers crossed for the 3rd...

wishinanhopin · 17/09/2008 13:27

YAY Dungungirl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you getting on?

cam75 · 18/09/2008 11:38

i am on a break dp is away so i couldn't take the clomid so i will have to wait for af to come next month.
I am just keeping busy.
I am trying to plan a weekend of fun

peju25 · 19/09/2008 09:21

Quick question for those of you in the know! This is my first month on clomid and last couple of days i have been feeling really tired - last night i actually fell asleep by 10 which is so not like me and now today i feel like a overheating mess!! is this side effects of clomid?? I am on cd24 and didnt think the symptoms were meant to still be here - and i never had any whilst taking them??

clairebear88 · 19/09/2008 10:04

Hi Peju

Welcome to the fantastic world of Clomid. Im afraid the tiredness and hot flashes are the 2 main side effects of Clomid. They occur at any time of the month as the clomid stays in your system to make sure you ovulate.
I would love to say that they get better over the months but everyone is different.
I only had hot flashes the 1st month and none since but the tiredness is still bad. I also get bad bloating and cramps throughout the month. Are you taking your tabs at nightime?? this helped me alot

peju25 · 19/09/2008 10:15

Hi Clairebear - thanks for reply helps to chat didnt know what was up with me!! i took tablets around 7 in evening as thought same as you - sleep through side effects!! Didnt really get any either until now! Was a bit worried as didnt expect to get any this far down the line thought i had escaped them all!!

Heebeejeebee · 19/09/2008 13:06

Hi Peju

This is my first month too! I was going to say I hadn't had any side effects except tiredness, but DH told me last night I was definitely moody..

Interesting to hear they last all month though - I was wondering about that..

Fingers crossed for your 2WW!

wishinanhopin · 19/09/2008 14:43

Hey girls.
My first time on Clomid too and I heard ya Peju Hot flashes, exhaustion and cramping. AMEN!!!Thanks for the confirmation clairbear
I was hoping the tiredness and cramping might mean pregnancy, but I know from reading the clomid symptoms are the exact same as pg symptoms, so it can be confusing!!

Baby dust to all we'll get through this!!!!

cam75 · 19/09/2008 15:05

all the symtoms you are getting are like pg, which is why i get confused as a pcos suffer i get sore boobs, feeling extremely tired??? when the nurse says that to me i say i tick all the boxes!!!!
Even though i have not been taking it this month i have been getting a bit of hot flushes??
Good luck ladies i will join you again next month

nandos · 19/09/2008 18:06

hows dungungirl you heard much from her /

sarashy · 22/09/2008 10:07

hi all not been on for a while,
Well this month (after last months week late) af started early and i think is my worst one since i was a kid. DH is still reluctantly taking his multi vits (lol, he says they make him smell, i think its just him). I am still drinking grapefruit juice, and multivits. I also had some reiki from one of the midwifes at work which was really weird.she said i have a retroverted uterus, which i seem to remember the first nurse who did my smear telling me, so perhaps thats why i cant get pg. Plus i have decided to ask for a second opinion and try and be insistant about going on clomid. (fingers crossed).
baby dust to all
x

DungunGirl · 22/09/2008 10:33

Hey Ladies

Sorry haven't been on for a while. Been lurking and reading posts but haven't actually posted!

lauralou

Nandos

cam75
Hope you are ok.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 22/09/2008 11:53

Hi sarashy

Re your comments;-

Many women have a retroverted uterus and this is not usually a reason for conception problems.

Are your periods usually this painful?. What are your periods like generally speaking?.

Think you are wise to seek a second opinion.
You will need to be persistant in order to get answers - it is all too easy to be fobbed off.

Attila

peju25 · 23/09/2008 09:39

Hi all - well im on cd28 and no sign of af yet - am sure it will arrive although no signs yet (you wait after typing this it will hit me with a vengence!!) im usualy 35 - 42 days and i know a lot of you say clomid can regulate you so not really sure when to expect it. Still a small part of me hopes i wont!
Hope you all ok.

clairebear88 · 23/09/2008 19:10

hi all

hope your all doin ok

peju - i have heard that clomid regulates longer periods but i have always been 27-29 days so mine didnt change.
Fingers crossed you may be a lucky one

I cant wait for my fertility app next fri but am worried as my mate went yesterday and she was told unless your bmi is 30 or under you dont get treatment on the nhs. I am going to a differnet hospital but in the next town so not sure if this rule covers an area. I feel so sorry for her as she has pcos so finds it really hard to lose it anyway. I am not sure if i have anything wrong yet but defo find it hard to shift the weight.
oh well i suppose ill wait till next week and find out.

Any other news from anyone as its very quiet at the mo???

Heebeejeebee · 23/09/2008 19:31

Hi all

peju - hope the clomid regulates your cycles (obviously hope af doesn't come at all!).

clairebear - I think its very much down to the person you see, rather than even the area you live in. I think the drs tend to use their discretion a bit, so hopefully yours will be one of them!

I have my ultrasound scan on Thurs (day 11) to see what the state of play is. DH has reported that I've been grumpy and I've felt quite a few twinges, but other than that I haven't noticed it much. I'll be interested to see what they say at the scan as I (and my clearblue monitor) think I ovulate late (day 16 in a 26 day cycle) but the consultant tells me that's not possible, so I guess we'll see!

Does anyone know - if the scan shows I'm not about to ovulate any time soon, will they ask me to come back next week for another scan?

DungunGirl · 24/09/2008 08:42

clairebear88

I had the heartache of wanting treatment from my fertility unit but was told the exact same thing as your friend.

They wanted a BMI over 30 or under first before they can give any treatment. I was told to go away and lose weight, and to see them again in 6 months!

I asked the consultant about the BMI nonsense and she basically said it is down to the NHS trust your hospital falls within and whether the trust has implemented this across all it's hospitals.

Basically, it is down to the money controllers for the NHS trust in your area and whether they see implementing this 30 bmi rule as a way to save money.

The only place in my local trust area that perscribed anything to anyone with a BMI over 30 and had PCOS, is the PCOS clinic, but they are only licensed to perscribe Metformin! It is still the fertility unit that has the power to perscribe Clomid.

It is a long and infuriating road for some of us, so thank goodness for the ladies lucky enough to live in an area where this stupid BMI doesn't exist I am glad that things do get sorted!

Anyway, enough ranting - GOOD LUCK!
