So I'm pretty much put this month, giving up all hope its happening this month. I know August is still a week away but thought I'd start a thread for the August TTCers.
How's everyone doing?

Opk help please! My period has just finished (spotting day yday as it trailed off), cycle day 7 today. Felt a bit of an ovary twinge this morning so did an ovulation test and pregmate read it at 0.96. Surely I cant be heading towards ovulation already? So paranoid im going to miss it as I only took an ovulation test for the first time last month when it was literally positive and think we missed ovulation. My cycles are usually 30ish days or longer so ovulation tends to be around cd15. What would you do?

I'd get baby dancing and keep to the ovulation tests

Some people can have an Lh pattern were it surges twice. So this would be a false peak and then you’d get a higher peak and actually ovulate at CD15. But I think this is more common in people with much longer cycles? Would definitely dtd now. But keep LH testing in case you have a two surge pattern!

Gosh this whole thing is so stressful. I cant dtd until tonight which I hope isnt too late. But I guess we need to start getting busy. I dont want to feel stressed!

Good luck @Maybabe256 - I know what you mean about it being stressful trying to plan! I’m away from my partner next weekend and will have a gap of 4 days where can’t dtd. No idea if I’ll be in fertility window or not as can’t track lh this cycle, so will just have to cover what we can and 🤞.

As PPers said, your body could attempt ovulation more than once so keep testing. Do you have the strips where you can do 2-3 times a day? When I last tracked, as they started to rise I did mid-morning, afternoon and evening to catch the peak!

3 weeks now ive been feeling sick and vomiting most days. During the night I was up 3 times running to the loo. Thank f* for en-suites
Got to wait another week before doctors will do testing. I'm hoping the feeling sick is from being anemic as its seems its definitely not pregnancy related

I couldn't wait till tomorrow to test again. Tested just now so not 1st thing and I think I see a very very faint line. If I invert it, it looks more obvious but I now very suddenly terrified that I might actually be pregnant after convincing myself and my husband it definitely wasnt going to happen this month. Will test again tomorrow morning in hopes the line gets darker.

I know you can barely tell anything in the 1st pic but im kinda sure + hopeful that its clearer in rl

Have been waiting for today to test because I thought I was 12 or 13 dpo so it seemed likely I’d get an accurate result. BFN and then AF this afternoon. Looks like I only had a 24 day cycle. Anyone else TTC with short or irregular cycles and have tips to share?

Sorry to hear AF arrived. I had irregular periods before I had my eldest. Was just a case of keep tracking keep testing with opk and use concieve plus lube.

Been off the pill now 4 weeks and still waiting for either a positive pregnancy test or AF to arrive. Thought I had a positive opk 2 weeks ago but no signs of anything other then feeling sick

Don’t worry, the egg is only released 12-36 hours after your peak and then hangs around for 12ish hours so this evening will be fine! Good luck!

Sorry if I’ve missed it but are you using opks to know when you do and if your luteal phase is long enough? If you ovulate say day 12 then it’s absolutely fine if your cycles are shorter, and if anything it’s good for you because you can try again quicker if you’re unsuccessful in a cycle.
I think it’s just a case of tracking and timing unfortunately.

Hi all, hopping on for the first time! TTC baby number 2, this is our second cycle. My periods are all over the place since finishing breastfeeding 3 months ago. This cycle is currently on CD50!!! But I finally ovulated and now am 1DPO. Fingers crossed 🙏

We’re not into May dates yet, are we? I thought we’re still testing for April

Fingers crossed for you! How old is your first? Mine is 14 months soon, still BF and been trying since April. Cycle length is about 40 days

She's 19 months! We finished BF around 15.5 months.

Oh I was just going off 41 weeks now being in May, still end of April for less than that though 🙂
