The previous OPs have gotten their BFPs so I have cheekily created this one just hoping that I could get lucky. Hahaha. 😅 Silly, right ?
A bit about me - currently trying to conceive baby No.2 and this is my 4th postpartum cycle.
So I wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust! 🤞

Argh feeling a bit frustrated this morning. We’re out all day today, so planned to DTD this morning before we went out. DS woke exceptionally early which meant we couldn’t DTD. And now I’ve just got my peak reading this morning on the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor 😩 I know a LH surge usually means ovulation will happen within 24-36 hours, but I’ve also read it can happen 8 hours after the surge is detected. You only test with FMU with the monitor, so my surge could have happened sometime yesterday meaning I could potentially ovulate early today. So frustrating as won’t be able to DTD until at least 10pm tonight. Do you think I’ve missed my best chance this month? We DTD Thursday night so hoping we might be covered from then at least.

Edited

I think possibly egg could still be there today even xx

Sunglade · 07/06/2026 15:36

Hope everyone is getting on ok no matter where you are in your cycle.
Bit of a weird one with me. AF was technically due today and hasn't turned up but I've tested BFN. But down as I did that thing where you sort of convince yourself it might have happened, largely due to a lack of my usual PMS symptoms as well. I'm pretty sure I must have ovulated later than expected, probably around 3 days later, so I think AF will turn up by Tues/Wed, but for that reason there's still a tiny part of me that hopes it may still happen! As the test I used was a very basic cheap one..however there was no sign of a second line not even a very faint one.

According to natural cycles we missed ovulation as it predicted Monday but it happened Tuesday. We made love on Friday and Sunday but doubt that’s enough. No Ewcm this month and no sex drive but the missed miscarriage is so raw I keep thinking it should be my month, while knowing it doesn’t work like that. Taking b12 at the moment but my hormones are super out of whack. I turned 41 last week which makes things feel harder and we ‘wasted’ the May cycle because focussed on recovery.

I'm up a lot at night too so use Apple Watch to temp. It actually told me I was pregnant last time when I was.

I think you should be covered by DTD Friday and Sunday, as they’re within your 5 day fertile window, hopefully it will be enough. We’ve only managed to DTD twice in my fertile window too. Sorry to hear you’ve not had many fertile signs this month, I’m not sure how long it would take for your hormones to settle after your MMC. You definitely didn’t waste May’s cycle, it’s important to focus on your recovery after going through something so mentally and physically traumatic.

I've got cramping today so I think af is on her way 😩 to be fair I just want it to come so we can get on with the next cycle.

AndyBerrick84 · 08/06/2026 09:03

I got my peak yesterday afternoon, and the test looks pretty much the same this morning. Do you think the two tests look identical?

We DTD on Saturday and Sunday, and hopefully we'll manage again today. I’m thinking I’ll probably ovulate today, although it could just as easily have been yesterday or even be tomorrow, who knows! 🤣

I’ve had some EWCM today too, but I’ve actually been having it since cycle day 8, so that’s not giving me many clues!

I’m 1 or 2 DPO I believe. Will you start testing soon or will you wait until AF is due?

I’m not really an expert on OPKs as never used them, but I feel like you’ve covered all bases by DTD across the weekend and possibly today, you’ve done all you can 🤞🏼

SantiagoSister · 08/06/2026 13:18

I’m 1/2 DPO today and I’ve been having unusual cramps since I ovulated at the weekend, which isn’t normal for me. Feels like AF is going to arrive type cramps. Had a look through MN for similar experiences and some people had this before they got their BFPs, so I’m really hoping that’s the case here too! 🤞🏼

MultilingualMummy · 08/06/2026 13:32

TTC baby2 here. My first time posting here - I believe today is O day but I think we’re out for this cycle as we didn’t hit too many days. I’m also on letrozole and my first cycle I always ovulate earlier than usual (ovulated CD12/13). Waiting to confirm ovulation and then will impatiently wait for CD1 to get really started next month!

I wouldn't read too much into anything this early on. At this stage, there's really nothing that can tell you whether it'll be a positive or negative result yet. It's amazing what rising progesterone can do, it seems to give us every symptom under the sun!

I get cramps every month just after ovulation, along with so much bloating and achy boobs too. Try not to worry too much about the symptoms alone. Keeping my fingers crossed for you though!

This is very true! I am normally a logical person but I feel like that goes out the window when TTC. Hate symptom spotting but can’t help myself! It’s so hard to just forget about it for the next 2 weeks and go about your life like normal 😅 these cramps at this stage are new to me, but I do often get the boob soreness after ovulation similar to you. Will try my best to keep busy and distracted this week. Roll on next week when I can satisfy my curiosity and test!

theotherfossilsister · 08/06/2026 21:42

@SantiagoSister I’m trying not to test. I’m actually really bad at getting pregnant, my son was ivf and my miscarriage this time was a fluke x

Sorry to hear it’s been really difficult for you. Hopefully you will be able to conceive again once your hormones settle, your body has shown that it can do it which hopefully is a little reassuring for you. I hope it happens for you soon.

BFN at 10dpo here. Think I’m out this cycle. Pretty devastated as have done everything right and it keeps not happening

theotherfossilsister · 09/06/2026 08:45

I’m 7dpo and think I’m out too

this is this morning’s temp

sorry @HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy it is so unfair

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 09/06/2026 09:36

It really is so unfair @theotherfossilsister I just don’t understand. Sorry to see your temperature drop. Life really sucks.

I probably should go to the GP and try and get some Letrozole but have done some googling and it’s not compatible with breastfeeding. And I don’t want to stop feeding my DD when she isn’t ready for the sake of a hypothetical baby which might not ever happen! So torn on what to do.

How many cycles have you been trying? It's so frustrating because you can do everything right and still only have about a 25–30% chance of conceiving each cycle.

I recently saw a study suggesting that fertilization often happens successfully, but implantation or early embryo development is where things are more likely to fail. There are so many factors that have to align, so try not to lose hope. Don't give up!

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 09/06/2026 10:49

@AndyBerrick84 It’s been 7 months but only 4 cycles. Which doesn’t sound very long compared to some people but I’m really struggling with having so few chances to get pregnant due to my cycle length, I’m feeling all those 7 months!

I think my chances are low without help tbh, my cycle length is so long which lowers implantation success rate apparently as the uterine lining gets too thick? Which I didn’t know until last week. Just feeling so defeated.

I was planning on going to the GP if it didn’t work this month but don’t want to stop breastfeeding. I didn’t realised you can’t take Letrozole if breastfeeding. If I can’t get pregnant again, I’ll be so sad i ended my time breastfeeding this way, before my DD is ready, because I wanted another baby. So feeling very stuck.

ByAquaFox · 09/06/2026 18:22

Period is due tomorrow. Had a bit of cramping last few days but not majorly, boob's are achey. Wont lie my nips look massive 🤣🤣🤣

BeKeenPeachLemur · 10/06/2026 09:54

I swear every cycle I get different symptoms and a BFN.... anyone else? I had a mmc last year at 9 weeks which we conceived first try....and had a long break before ttc again and now in cycle 4 for baby number 1! I wish the tww wasn't so long 😅

Same! Think I’m 3DPO and fully symptom spotting even though I’m desperately trying not to 😂 all I’ve got at the moment is intermittent cramps, which I don’t normally have until AF is about to arrive. Logically I know it’s too early for symptoms, and I wish we didn’t have to wait so long to find out! Sorry to hear about your MMC 😔

MultilingualMummy · 10/06/2026 12:08

I’m 3dpo today and not really feeling anything! Honestly I’m sure I’m out and just want CD1 to come so we can move on to the next cycle and try properly.

Do you mind if I ask about the Letrozole? I have PCOS and think im not ovulating and was thinking of asking my GP for Letrozole as it looks like first the first thing the GP will try.

How have you found it? Any side effects?
And did the GP run tests first or was it quite simple to get it prescribed?

theotherfossilsister · 10/06/2026 20:30

@BeKeenPeachLemur sorry about your mmc. We had one too, so unfair and everything dashed. Did you have d and c? I did and so much more crampy since do wondering if that’s a factor for me.

8dpo today and stopped temping last night as it was driving me mad
