The previous OPs have gotten their BFPs so I have cheekily created this one just hoping that I could get lucky. Hahaha. 😅 Silly, right ?
A bit about me - currently trying to conceive baby No.2 and this is my 4th postpartum cycle.
So I wish everyone good luck and lots of baby dust! 🤞

@BeKeenPeachLemur sorry about your mmc. We had one too, so unfair and everything dashed. Did you have d and c? I did and so much more crampy since do wondering if that’s a factor for me.

8dpo today and stopped temping last night as it was driving me mad

aww I’m sorry to hear that too 😢 it’s so unfair isn’t it. I tried the tablets but they didn’t really work so had to have a d&c a month and bit later which made the whole experience even more traumatising. My body has felt the same since, I kept tracking my cycles and I’m pretty regular pretty much bang on 27 days each cycle … just since starting ttc again the tww is just painful 😅

theotherfossilsister · 10/06/2026 20:37

@BeKeenPeachLemur It is so painful isn’t it? We should be much further along and it feels really loaded after mmc somehow. I found trying to let it pass then ending up with d and c horrible so I know what you mean about trauma xx

Day late for my period. No signs of af or even a faint line 😩

HappyBlueDonkey · 11/06/2026 09:14

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 09/06/2026 10:49

@AndyBerrick84 It’s been 7 months but only 4 cycles. Which doesn’t sound very long compared to some people but I’m really struggling with having so few chances to get pregnant due to my cycle length, I’m feeling all those 7 months!

I think my chances are low without help tbh, my cycle length is so long which lowers implantation success rate apparently as the uterine lining gets too thick? Which I didn’t know until last week. Just feeling so defeated.

I was planning on going to the GP if it didn’t work this month but don’t want to stop breastfeeding. I didn’t realised you can’t take Letrozole if breastfeeding. If I can’t get pregnant again, I’ll be so sad i ended my time breastfeeding this way, before my DD is ready, because I wanted another baby. So feeling very stuck.

I feel exactly the same about stopping bf to try to TTC. I think I’m out this month anyway as I don’t think I’m going to ovulate, I’ve been sat at 0.4-0.6 for days and it’s CD 22 now

Our bodies do love to mess us round, don’t they? I always give they I’m later when Ttc even if not pregnant. It makes zero sense. Hoping for period tomorrow for you and then a fresh new cycle xx

It is so tricky. What do you think you will do? I’m pretty certain than breastfeeding itself is not stopping me from getting pregnant, I conceived my second very easily while still breastfeeding my first. Fairly sure it’s the PCOS.

Maybe I should just go and see the GP? But then what if they say “you haven’t been trying properly, stop breastfeeding and then come back in 6 months/ 1 year if you are still not pregnant”?!? I’d be so upset. Think I’m going to try for another cycle before going… maybe… 😩 also, started myo-inositol back in March and it’s supposed to take around 3 months to regulate cycles a bit more so maybe I should give that more of a chance to work?

Sorry to hear the tests aren’t rising. That is what happened to me this month. I did eventually get a higher reading of 0.93 but clearly it didn’t work- just waiting for AF to start tomorrow/ Saturday.

I have no idea what to do. My job is awful but pays me 6 months full pay plus a big bonus with coming back from Mat leave. I got back next month but always planned to be going back pregnant. I think it could actually be the work stress affecting me more than the breastfeeding. I am vomiting a lot and suffering from migraines. I don’t know whether to quit my job or stop breastfeeding first

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 10/06/2026 16:59

Do you mind if I ask about the Letrozole? I have PCOS and think im not ovulating and was thinking of asking my GP for Letrozole as it looks like first the first thing the GP will try.

How have you found it? Any side effects?
And did the GP run tests first or was it quite simple to get it prescribed?

Hey - no I do not mind at all. I didn't get my letrozole through the NHS but have friends who did and I think its one of the easier treatments to get but I believe still requires a referral to fertility which can take a while. The main symptom I get is headaches when I'm taking letrozole and a bit of fatigue but nothing too major. It does really work for me though and I can always feel the corpeus luteum afterwards which is a little painful.

TheUniqueMember · 11/06/2026 15:28

Roll on the end of the month. That's when I'm going to remove my patch and hope for the best. They say that it can take a while to have a period but fertility can come back straight anyway so I'll be testing with opks and temperature and see how we go 🥰

theotherfossilsister · 12/06/2026 14:23

Tested today in case temp drop was implantation and stark white test (Rude!) at 10dpo. I’m out. It’s actually good to know and not a surprise. I haven’t felt even slightly fertile since miscarriage and think it’s take a while to come back.

I guess I’ll see some of you on ttc June and July although hope you get your positives and are off on the due Feb thread instead. Sadly not for me.

Thanks for the info! Ah, I didn’t realise it required a fertility clinic referral, i thought GPs could prescribe. Oh dear, guess I should make an appointment then, as I doubt the referral will be quick!

Glad that the side effects aren’t too bad and that it works well for you. How many cycles has it taken you to conceive previously? I feel I just need a little nudge and my body would ovulate so I’m hoping it would work well for me too 🤞

This sounds so hard for you, I’m so sorry!! I can see that that makes it very difficult to leave as that maternity pay is great. But must feel very trapping. Vomiting and migraines sound awful, that much stress can’t be helping. I hope you have a better weekend.
How is your job market? Any hope of a different job even without the maternity benefits (if possible financially for you?)

I know it is really hard not to feel negative after getting BFNs and especially after MC. I find it easier to accept the outcome by sharing my feelings and update my ttc journey with people who are in the same situation because they understand me. I hope that you are taking good care of yourself.

Today is 8/9 dpo. My current LP lasts for 10/11 days so I expect AF to arrive in 2 days. Terrible sleep and I am happy for either a BFN/good night sleep/longer LP or a BFP. I am also happy that I will get a conclusion soon.

Update:

TTC - cycle 3 but proper 2nd cycle trying after our late loss. Had hormone blood tests done and all came back normal which is reassuring.

My husband was away but came back last night, just in time for my peak today! 🥳 Cycle day 20. It’s now obvious that I’m just someone who ovulates slightly later as this is my norm for all my cycles that I’ve tracked!

Hope everyone is okay! 🩷🩷

Glad your hormone test all came back ok, I know you were worried about them so it’s great that everything’s looking good. Great timing on your husbands behalf too!

I remember we were CD buddies, I’m now 6 DPO and planning to start testing on Monday, I can’t help myself, wish I had more patience. I’ve had a really stressful few days the last few days, so I’m not sure if that might impact things, but will have to wait and see.

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 14/06/2026 11:10

My period is now 2 days late but BFNs. Think I didnt manage to ovulate when I got a “peak” of 0.93 on the Lh tests. Just tested now and Lh was at 0.75 so might be gearing up for another go? Or just a late period and I’ll start bleeding tomorrow. Who knows, im so confused at this point.

I’m now on CD58. At what point to i go to the GP to ask for medication to force a period?? Any ideas of supplements I could take to help my body ovulate? Im currently taking myo-inositol, folic acid and Vit D.

ByAquaFox · 14/06/2026 14:32

Still no period was due wednesday. No positive test either. Hate this limbo stage

Today is 10/11 dpo and I am waiting for AF to arrive today or tomorrow. So it will be my 6th postpartum cycle. I am excited for the next cycle and look forward to not thinking about ttc during my period. 😆

8 DPO and BFN this morning, half expected it as it’s still early of course. Only tested as I had faint positives at this point in my previous pregnancies. Have sore boobs and been feeling twinges the last few days, so keeping fingers crossed.

Baby3PraiseBe · 15/06/2026 08:46

I’m on 3/4dpo and by now I’d have pms breast pain. I don’t track but my temps up and usually by now my boobs would be killing me.
This is baby#3 with a 13yr age gap so my memory of symptoms plus my age (now 42) is woolly.

Anyone else lacking the usual PMS breast pain in the 2ww? Feeling mildly confident this cycle.

BeKeenPeachLemur · 15/06/2026 10:04

Im 9DPO tested today and it is such a BFN.... I had some brown spotting 7DPO evening and 8DPO in the morning, which I have never ever had before.. I know it is still early to test but I just feel different this cycle... I think the TWW is driving me insane and symptom spotting every single thing 🙄

@Baby3PraiseBe I’ve had something similar this cycle, usually I notice that my boobs get sore just after ovulation, but this cycle I’m 8 DPO today and the soreness only started yesterday. So could just be delayed onset but who knows. I hope it’s a good sign for you as it’s different to your normal 🤞🏼

That’s all sounding positive @BeKeenPeachLemur, maybe it’s just a little bit too soon to test and you’ll start to see some lines over the next day or so 🤞🏼 fully get you on the symptom spotting, I’ve been terrible for it this cycle. Paying attention to all sorts of things which I never normally would, so unsure if they’re just normal for me and I’ve not noticed them before, or whether they’re actually positive signs. Only time will tell I suppose but the TWW is a killer!
