TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

@SKLM this made me laugh so much!! Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 I ordered some first response tests they arrived today but I’m gonna hold off until Christmas Eve I think. Just testing my own patience!!

Well imagine if it was positive on Christmas eve, that would be so lovely.

I did my last first response this morning and it looks similar to yesterday's. I'm just convinced I can see something.

I don't know if it is indentation, or shadow maybe? The FR tests have changed in packaging since I used them 2 years ago and are a different colour. I just feel like the test window is a lot less clear than it used to be. But then again, the only other time I have used them was when I was pregnant before and the second line was obvious.

Yep.. just going to have to wait for my period, the sensible way!

I’ve been waking up and having like this hot flush for the last few days, todays was intense, then thought back and was like hmmm I’ve had this a few days now. I’ve got FRER but trying to hold out. We are at a wedding tomorrow so hoping that’ll distract me 🤞🏼

I’m still waiting for my period too. My boobs have been SO painful but I keep telling myself that it’s pms - which is difficult! It’s like having two little people on my shoulders, one saying ‘it’s just your period coming’ and the other saying ‘but what if it isn’t …’ it’s so frustrating. I try and keep busy but it’s still in the back of my mind. I took a test at the beginning of the week and it was negative. I do think it’d have shown positive if I was. I don’t have any more tests in the house which I’ve purposely done, but I am so tempted to get one today.. just incase 🤦‍♀️ why is it so mentally difficult to just wait for AF to come??

Cycle day 6 for me today, looking forward to my fertile window over the Xmas period and praying for a positive Jan 2026!!

I took a FRER earlier because I have no self control, still BFN of course! I’m gonna really try and stop testing now and just enjoy Christmas and have lots of fun and see if there is any news in the new year! I will still be following the thread for news 🤞🏼🤞🏼

My period started this morning. I feel a strange sense of relief .. with a dash of disappointment. It’s that unknown feeling that bothers me the most, so at least I now know and can enjoy Christmas and have a few drinks without worrying. Will start again next month.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and NY. I’m sure I’ll be back here again mid January!! 😄

@PandaLife I’m sorry it’s not the news you wanted but I can understand the relief to have an answer either way!
Im also trying to just enjoy Christmas but it’s constantly in the back of my mind.

@SKLM im ok, it’s too early for me to be grumpy about it but I am! No period, cramping has stopped. Still DTD every other day really. Went to a wedding yday with two new babies there so that was tough! Just want it to happen now, meeting our new nephew Boxing Day too so feeling a bit sensitive about it!

@Bubs94 - there is a faint line, it came up within a few minutes. it's hard to see on Mumsnet they downgrade the image quality when you upload it I will try to upload another pic...

I have had such a headache today and felt really nauseous this morning but I used an internet cheapie yday and bfn still. I haven’t bled since coming off my pill which was 25 days ago now so I don’t know what’s happening!

@Bassbeh17 yes I did. I don't know if you can see it though. If I have another tomorrow morning I'm going to do a digital..

That sounds frustrating, maybe you haven't ovulated yet or if you are pregnant it is very early

oh I know I’m so bloody impatient and it’s making me grumpy!!! I don’t think I’ve ovulated but because I caught literally in two days with my daughter I’m finding this tricky !!

@Bassbeh17 can you really see it? I mean, I can here, but the photo quality isn't as good. I've been having some symptoms for the past few days and I thought they were a bit suspicious so on instinct l felt I was pregnant.

Yeah I feel for you. If this one doesn't stick I will also feel rubbish, as like you I got pregnant immediately with my last.

There are some ladies on this thread who have had early losses and I really feel for them. I'm crossing my fingers for us all x

@SKLM what symptoms have you had and what contraception have you come off? Mines desogesterol so I’m just intrigued because the first two weeks solid off of it I had cramping and mood swings and spots and sore boobs with veins, now I’ve just got spots annoyingly popping up randomly and the occasional bit of nausea and I’m on week 3 nearly 4. Still no bleed, did you have a bleed?

So after I stopped desogestrel I didn't get any hormonal symptoms at all then several months later I finally had a period. From then I started doing the ovulation tests every month to get a sense of what my cycle was doing then we fell pregnant.

I had a feeling last week that I might be very very early stages pregnant as I had a lot of stomach cramping on one side, which is what I had with my son followed by a faint positive test a few days later. That's about it so far. I feel very tired but I have also been unwell. Just waiting to see if the test lines get a bit stronger before I start to relax x
