TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

@PandaLife sorry I missed your early post this morning, sometimes I don't see the whole thread. I was thinking, have you recently come off contraception - was it the Mirena coil? I can't remember your situation exactly but if you are not long off contraception it can take a while for your cycle length to settle. Talking to your GP might be a good idea if your period is a no show and you're not pregnant x

Bassbeh17 · 14/02/2026 11:27

@PandaLife i did that the other day at like 3dpo 😅 who was I kidding 🤣

im definitely getting the nausea again which I had with my daughter but I’ve also had everytime I have a hormonal shift since I came off my pill so I could just be falling into the trap of my body tricking me massively! I hate this wait!!

i’m off work this week and we are literally just at home relaxing which means I will be obsessing over every detail 🙄

CauliflowerCheese00 · 14/02/2026 13:16

PandaLife · 14/02/2026 08:03

@CauliflowerCheese00 if you’re anything like the rest of us, you’ll test tomorrow 😂

@SKLM when will you begin testing?

Obviously I did 🤣
Unsurprisingly was a negative but I didn’t feel bad or disappointed about it cause I really don’t think I’ve ovulated this month - still settling after stopping the pill at Christmas

PandaLife · 14/02/2026 13:43

@SKLM yes I came off the coil in October. My cycle has been fine since then though :/

I’m excited to see what’s to come over the next week for you ladies 😊😊

Bassbeh17 · 14/02/2026 15:07

@CauliflowerCheese00 what pill were you on? I stopped Nov 29th, got a period Dec 29th, last month had a lot of discomfort around ovulation but this month (3rd month) it’s been much more settled and no extreme pain like before. Sounds like you’re a month behind me maybe?

Cerazette - this is my second cycle off. Last month I was really reassured to get ewcm, ovulation pains, a clear positive test, a light period 12 days later - but was a bit of a false sense of security as had none of that this cycle 🤦‍♀️ hoping my period comes promptly and it settles down for next month!

Bassbeh17 · 14/02/2026 19:31

@CauliflowerCheese00 ah ok I was on cerelle but it does sound very similar, I’ve felt a lot better and like my body has settled this month so hopefully it’ll be the same for you 🤞🏼

Bassbeh17 · 14/02/2026 19:32

@SKLM i think you’re a day ahead of me, will you test in the morning??
I have 14 cheap strip tests and one frer im saving so I’m going to quickly obsess over here 😬🤣

SKLM · 14/02/2026 19:40

@Bassbeh17 I will be 9dpo tomorrow according to Flo, but potentially 10 after you found that bit of science about ovulation after getting your peak. I got my peak at 6am on the 5th so could have ovulated then. You can guarantee I will be testing tomorrow! 😬

TWW feels like forever
Bassbeh17 · 14/02/2026 20:38

I find it so interesting how it’s so different for everyone, my ovulation day was one after you and I’m 8dpo tomorrow but my cycle was shorter so I’ve technically got less days before accurately testing than you! It’s so interesting!

TWW feels like forever
Bassbeh17 · 15/02/2026 07:56

8dpo BFN for me. I know it’s early and there’s time until AF arrives but now I’m just starting to think it’s not going to happen. I don’t know why but I feel like because I want it to happen so badly it won’t.

SKLM · 15/02/2026 08:53

@Bassbeh17 negative here too, feeling just like you x

PandaLife · 15/02/2026 09:51

Sorry to hear of the negative results this morning ladies :( but you’re both still early, so don’t give up hope.

I think my period is finally beginning. I don’t think I’ve ever been so relieved to have it before! It’s been quite stressful over the last few days not knowing what’s happening. So I feel like I can breathe a little. My
ovulation strips arrived the other day, so I’ll be using them from next week and see what’s happening.

SKLM · 15/02/2026 10:42

@PandaLife what a relief to finally know where you are at! It's been a bit of a rollercoaster for you. Keep us updated with the ovulation tests, how do you feel about the ovulation testing?

It is still early, I keep telling myself that. I never realised how many pms symptoms I get until I really started paying attention the last couple of months. And they make me feel really rough too! I think I can just about tolerate estrogen but progesterone makes me feel awful.

Bassbeh17 · 15/02/2026 13:53

@SKLM its such a rollercoaster isn’t it! I’ll definitely test for the next few days, probably drive myself mad 🤪
had sore boobs today on and off and swinging between heartburn and nausea but telling myself it’s just me reacting to hormones in my cycle. I’m scared to be hopeful 😭

Bassbeh17 · 15/02/2026 13:57

Does anyone else suffer with pelvic twinges, they can be sharp but not crazy painful, I had some around ovulation and now I’ve got them
again yday and today but randomly. like I say they’re not painful but noticable 🤷🏽‍♀️

CauliflowerCheese00 · 15/02/2026 18:37

I’m really crampy this evening - apps aren’t predicting a period until Friday but I’m expecting it sooner now! And by my count Friday would be quite late anyway - I think they’re still working my data out. Looking forward to it really so I can reset on what was a bit of a damp squid of a cycle 😅

Bubs94 · 15/02/2026 20:49

@Bassbeh17 I always get twinges in between ovulation and my period, sometimes that take my breath away slightly. Past couple of cycles I read into them too much but obviously it’s just part of my body getting ready for my period. Obviously not the same for everyone but yeah. So annoying when you symptom spot in the TWW x

OP posts:
SKLM · 15/02/2026 21:54

@Bassbeh17 lots of random twinges here including an odd pulling sensation under my c section scar in the centre of my groin which of course I am reading far too much into 😂

I'm being driven mad by these. I know what side I ovulated on because I get ovulation pain and since 1dpo I've been getting twinges on that side and been completely bloated. I'm only 4dpo now so I'm far to early for symptoms (and anything without implantation would just upset me anyway), but I know exactly what you mean.

Bassbeh17 · 15/02/2026 22:14

Definitely not the only one then!! I can’t say my symptom spotting is on anything obvious this month, just lots of little things, weird taste in my mouth (twice today I stopped eating something it tasted weird) my boobs are a bit sore and my nipples look darker/bigger. The cramping has remained on and off but we dtd tonight (first time for a week as I’ve been so tired) am now cramping even more!!! Even if this is all for nothing I’ve logged it on my app so I’ve got something to refer to next month 🫣 let’s please hope I don’t need it and this is the one 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Bassbeh17 · 16/02/2026 07:09

BFN again this morning 9dpo and had the wildest dream about having a really heavy period last night 😞 it’s not over yet I know but I’m just not convinced it’s this month.

PandaLife · 16/02/2026 11:44

@Bassbeh17 you’re still very early, there is plenty of time yet for a bfp 🩷

I had a lot of cramping this month which was on both sides and also around my C-section scar too.
It’s weird just how many symptoms we get isn’t it? I don’t recall ever having so many symptoms before - I wasn’t on any birth control for years before the recent coil as my ex had the snip. I spent a bit of time online to find out why it happens, most of what I read say it’s all in our heads and we’re creating the symptoms because we want there to be symptoms. I personally think that is bull. I wonder if it has something to do with sperm being in our system which in turn makes our bodies produce more progesterone because it thinks it will become pregnant and therefore our symptoms are a lot stronger than they would be normally.
I certainly don’t think it’s in our heads.

SKLM · 16/02/2026 12:43

@PandaLife I agree, how can it all be in our heads? Especially when everything is so different each month. There must be a much more complex set of reasoning behind it. I hate it when people say something is in womens' heads, as though everything we experience is as basic as that.

Negative test for me this morning. I have a lot of symptoms, above all my mood is poor and I have a lot of anxiety this month which is making say to day life quite hard.

Bassbeh17 · 16/02/2026 20:48

@PandaLife and @SKLM thank you, I know it’s early but I think with my daughter it was so different it’s made me worry a lot, we fell instantly with her and I found out like 4 days early!! So yeah, I’m messing with my head! Went to my sisters today and she is clearing out as she’s done having kids and gave me her car seat that my nephew has just grown out so I feel like we’ve jinxed it now 😣
