TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

I did a normal LH test to make sure my clear blue is telling the truth. Don't know why but I am still a bit suspicious of it, might be because you don't see any lines!

So I got my static smiley at 6am this morning, this test is from 3pm today - does it look positive?

@SKLM I would say that’s positive, for me they don’t go darker than the strip but they go as dark as it and I count that because I think everyone is different. If it then starts to drop tomorrow then it was your peak! Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏼

@SKLM i reckon this is the start of the rise today, I only have 5 tests left so if there isn’t a big difference tomorrow morning I will wait until sat morning!

@Bassbeh17 oooh I hope it gets darker tomorrow! What happened last month, did it suddenly peak or did it rise slowly?

@SKLM i can’t actually remember but I wasn’t testing as much at all, I started way later I think I started far too early this month!! We shall see what happens. I didn’t use this app last month so I have no record!

Just looked at a photo I sent my friend of the ovulation strip and it looks like I ovulated on cd14 last month which is tomorrow this month. So I’m already a bit delayed this month, I’ve had some twinges down below today and feel like it might happen soon but hopefully I’ll get confirmation on the tests soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Bassbeh17 woohoooooo! Well done, good persuasion skills! 😁My husband got home late from work but we managed to as well.

Thing I find confusing is when do you actually ovulate, I read online it says after you get your peak it could be anywhere from 12-48 hours?! But it takes a while for it to show up in your urine so you don't actually know when your body had its peak you just get later feedback on the test?!

Another thing to drive yourself crazy with!

I follow a fertility specialist on Instagram (I deleted the app a while ago so can’t bring her up) and she said we peak before ovulation, usually 1-2 days before. The best time to have sex is those few days before, so the sperm is ready and waiting for the egg to release. That is why we get a fertile window and we have a higher chance of pregnancy if we dtd within the peak. But any time within that window is a good time as sperm stays alive for 5 days. It’s all very complicated isn’t it 🙈 it amazes me that some women fall pregnant really easily. My mum has six children and we joked that all she needed to do was look at a man and fall preggers.

I just feel rough. And SO bloated, I literally woke up bloated. I’ve wore baggy clothing today to hide it. I am also very thirsty, that started yesterday with the worst taste in my mouth which won’t go away. I did test this morning but still nothing. I’m going to do another this evening, I usually test in an evening rather than morning, but felt an urge today.

@PandaLife six kids.. gosh. The most anyone has in our family is 5. 2 would be fine for me, if this one would just happen 😅

Do you usually get a bad taste in your mouth before your period? I had a metallic taste in my mouth when I fell pregnant with my son, that probably kicked in around 10dpo.

So easy to symptom spot but you want to have some hope don't you. I'll be doing the same in a week

@SKLM no I haven’t had it before. The first month after my coil removed I did get that constantly dry mouthed thing, which I had when pregnant before. But I think my hormones were just in hyperdrive that month. This time it’s different. I feel nauseous with it all too and keep getting that wet feeling in my mouth (wet and dry at the same time.. I know, odd lol). I’m trying not to get my hopes up. If I’m not pregnant, I really don’t like the thought of feeling like this during every luteal phase :(

@PandaLife I hope you are pregnant too, sounds like you are having a rough time of it this tww. I sometimes wish I had kept a proper diary of my tww symptoms when I got pregnant the first time, and my pms symptoms so I knew what was normal for me or what wasn't. Having said that, every month it seems to be a bit different.

@PandaLife im just gonna be googling how ovulation actually works now 😂😂 no from what I’ve read it’s 12-48 hours after, I’m waiting for my daughter at a class so can’t do anything but making sure I’m hydrated enough to poas and check my lh levels when I get home! I did have the most random sharp twinge in the middle of the afternoon today, it caught my breath and I thought hmmm that could be it! I’ve also had the slight irritation after seeing again but I think that might be an ovulation sign for me and it’s very subtle compared to last month so I’m hoping that means my cycles adjusted back to normal and this is the month 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I thiiiiiink i have ovulated, also had a sharp twinge and my cervix seems a lot lower and harder now.

Ladies does your fertile cm vary every month?! I've really not had much this month. Last month I had loads for a week after my peak which is what made me think I had not ovulated straight away.

This month I had some for two days, got my peak yesterday, now it's pretty much gone.

@SKLM i think my varies as it’s also linked to hydration etc so it’s likely to change but I’ve had less this month too, but it’s been before ovulation which is a good sign I think 🤔

I work in a school so I thought I’ll be distracted next week at least as it’s the last week of term but nope we are teaching sex Ed 😭 not helpful!!

Hi all it's been a minute ! I am gearing up to ovulate soon I think - CD19 (I usually ovulate CD21). Was gonna skip this cycle since last one was so awful with my UTI etc but I've had a lot of time to recover and doing ok. Might give it a try this month but not like last time, maybe just one well timed try. We've been using condoms just to make sure I don't get another infection so it's gonna have to be bang on perfect timing lol.

I just did an ovulation strip and I’m back down from 0.93 to 0.22 so I’ve peaked and am now hoping this is it 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Plumchumm so lovely to see you, glad you are recovered from the UTI. They put such a downer on TTC don't they. Are you still on antibiotics? X

@Bassbeh17 I did another LH test and it has dropped right down too. Crossing everything that it is possible to cross!

My cm changes every month too. This month I had two days of ewcm then dried up. last month I don’t actually recall having any :/

I think (don’t hold me on it) but I am pretty sure the fertility doctor I referred to earlier is a woman called Natalie Crawford. If you’re on Instagram, she has an account and often posts short videos on things like ovulation, sperm health ect. I am sure it’s her .. but I’m not giving in and re-activating my Insta account to check because I’m doing so well staying off it 🙈🙈

I am feeling sorry for myself this evening so I’ve come to bed with a herbal tea. I still have that awful taste in my mouth with that dry but wet feeling. I can drink and drink but it makes zero difference. If it’s bad tomorrow I’m going to buy some chewing gum and see if that helps.

But just adding on to the cm thing. I had ewcm for the two days then it stopped. It started again but is thick white which has been quite heavy for the last two days. I had to check earlier because it almost felt like my period started 🤦‍♀️

@PandaLife when you drink too much you get dry feeling or thirst because you’re actually over hydrated and diluting your electrolytes. Drink less and it will balance
