...how long did your second take?

Everyone I know has taken much longer the second time and I'm wondering how much I should factor that into plans for #2 - obviously I'm aware it could happen and we'd be prepared for that, but want to manage expectations!

I don’t fit your criteria as it took 7 months to conceive our first, then 3 months for our second and straight away for our third (age 39). My body just seemed to find it easier each time!

I conceived both of my DDs on the first attempt, my second after being told that I have pcos and barely functioning ovaries, they said my chances of becoming pregnant were slim & I conceived that same night 😅

First try with both, I did do an ovulation test so that probably helped.

First try both times, but I do know someone who took 7 years to conceive her 2nd.

First time every time for 4 pregnancies. Only 2 to term though.

First one was first time, second one was second time!

First try for both of mine. In my middish 20’s for context.

First try all three times. Aware of how lucky this is.

1st - first try but on honeymoon, so was having sex several times a day

2nd - conceived when DC1 was a year old. Regular unprotected sex for several months before conceiving, but was breast feeding. Conceived within days of stopping BF.

I’ve been pregnant 6 times (unfortunately had a few losses) but every time I’ve fell pregnant first month

I was told to wait one year (I had a caesarean) before trying again. There are 21 months between my two.

I was opposite. First try for second Dc. Took ages first time. It’s totally random.

I got pregnant first month trying for my second but lost it. Then got pregnant again straight after which stuck.

First month on all three.

Same as the first time, stopped taking the pill and was pregnant before having a period. Different man too!

First month with each pregnancy. 31 and 34

1 contraceptive fuck up for first - I was in my 20’s and decided not to continue pregnancy - had an early medical termination.

1 miscarriage second pregnancy in early 30’a immediately after trying but the sac was empty before first scan - I had to have a d&c as my womb didn’t clear everything properly.

left it a few months then tried again and conceived my eldest - I was 33

conceived second immediately age 36

DH then had a vasectomy as we were done and I didn’t want to risk any accidental pregnancies again!

One hit wonders at 37 and 39

2nd month with dc1, 1st night with dc2, in my forties.

Once dd1 started sleeping at night at 18 months I was pregnant with dd2 the following month!
