Hi everyone, setting up a new months thread for those of us who already know weโ€™re out for August. Iโ€™m going on to cycle 3. Hope this can continue to be a place where we can chat and support one another.

So I had my GP appt, theyโ€™re referring me for blood tests, swabs and an ultrasound as part of a referral to fertility support. Theyโ€™ve asked my partner to get checked out too. Itโ€™s giving me hope.

Thatโ€™s positive! Glad things are moving forwards for you โ˜บ๏ธ

Tested again today and a BFN so must have been a dye run on Sunday. AF due today (11 DPO) and have some cramps, although did get a tiny feeling of nausea but I think I'm out. Trying to hold out but it's tough work.

Angelyoga · 02/09/2025 11:04

Hi!

I had some labs done yesterday.

My cholesterol levels are above normal. :-(

My AMH is at 2.21ng/mL. Seems OK I guess. Will meet with obgyn on Thursday to discuss further.

So far no period, no pain, no discharge, no high bbt, no ovulation strip tests positive.
I guess am still on amenorrhea/anovulation.

That said I had bleeding on Feb 13 and July 21st for a few days. Period or chemical pregnancy?

ChaE05 · 02/09/2025 12:30

@Muddysocks1do you mind me asking how much roughly that private consultation with the progesterone was? Just for an idea of what we would be looking at privately. Did they suggest what you could try after?
I'm sad for you that a work colleague is pregnant. It really does feel like a punch in the stomach. This journey is really heartbreaking and unless you have been through it you will never understand xx

Yeah of course! It was with Plan Your Baby, it was ยฃ125, he went through my previous tests results, arranged another ultrasound (Iโ€™d have them previously but not for fertility purposes), and suggested 3 months progesterone to start based on my previous progesterone results. I know that if you use Proov sticks, you can book a consultation to discuss those results and I believe if those tests were low you could get progesterone. You just book a zoom appt online, was really easy and I booked for a couple of days in advance so no waiting.
I didnโ€™t go back to them as then got my NHS appt through - but would be tempted as they said progesterone from positive test and I donโ€™t think NHS doctor will.
The progesterone prescription wasnโ€™t the cheapest, I canโ€™t remember exactly how much, maybe ยฃ90 for 3 cycles? Which I actually used for 4 cycles as stopped when I got a BFN at 12DPO so had leftovers.

PBandJellySandwich · 02/09/2025 13:01

Hi all! Can I join too?

I'm on month 6 of TTC #2 (but only 3rd cycle as I sadly had a MMC of twins on cycle 2, then had 3 rounds of failed medical management before finally having surgery in August).

I also had an early loss at 5.5 weeks on cycle 2 of TTC #1, then conceived my daughter 2 months later.

So sorry to hear of your news @Iris2024 . My ovulation was a couple of days delayed after my 5.5 week loss, and we decided to try again that cycle.

I'm 1dpo today according to ovulation strips, but I'm not holding out too much hope as we could only dtd twice as I was advised to wait for time after the surgery

Thank you lovely. Iโ€™m very nervous given my age.. Iโ€™d just be thankful for one successful pregnancy at this stage ๐Ÿ˜ข

Ooh just got my appointment for the infertility clinic through! Best birthday present ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

FunnySam · 02/09/2025 16:45

@ttcnumerodosHappy birthday to that!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
3dpo, time is moving so slowly and Iโ€™m seeing every PMS symptom as conception/implantation.

SureLook · 02/09/2025 17:54

@Muddysocks1 I think there is a way to block anything pregnancy related on instagram. I'm not sure exactly how to do it but I'm sure all quick Google would tell you.

@Iris2024 aww, I'm so so sorry. I was really holding out hope. I know you don't want to celebrate but happy birthday โค๏ธ

Marvelftw · 02/09/2025 19:06

@Iris2024 Iโ€™m so sorry for you. Please be kind and look after yourself today x

@PeonyPatch Glad your appointment went well. I had an initial appointment on the weekend and now have some blood tests and an internal scan booked in, fingers crossed! How old are you if you donโ€™t mind me asking?

Same here sis! 3dpo today. So down with fever, cold and bodyache, I can't be sure if I'm getting my usual pms symptoms or not. :-/

Muddysocks1 · 03/09/2025 08:19

My period arrived yesterday (earlier than expected!) so started letrozole today. Seeing this as an opportunity to try something different, apparently itโ€™s still fairly low chances of success but brings you closer to general population (like 20% chance). So even if it works for me it might not be first cycle. But ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

Muddysocks1 · 03/09/2025 08:20

@Iris2024 how are you today?

overwork · 03/09/2025 09:06

ah Iโ€™m excited for you, a new month and a new hope!

Marvelftw · 03/09/2025 10:44

@Muddysocks1 Itโ€™s crazy to think overall how low the odds of conception are. Makes you wonder how some people ever catch on the straight away! Hoping that trying something new has an impact for you

Joining this new thread ๐Ÿ’•Iโ€™m still in my wait for either af or bfp and iโ€™m getting so so impatient now iโ€™m CD 28. Im considering going to buy a test today? Last months cycle was 38 days (never been that long) so iโ€™m quite worried incase itโ€™s the same this month? Typically my cycles are 30-33 days long.

It is! I saw something on Instagram (so I would take with a bit of a pinch of salt) that said 10-15% chance per month if youโ€™re 30-35โ€ฆ which is so low! But then - we all know people who got pregnant on one go, but also itโ€™s so normal for it to take several months with no issues. So many things have to align! Whilst itโ€™s depressing it also gives me a bit of hope, that it is largely a number game and each month BFN doesnโ€™t mean it canโ€™t happen, might just be a bit unlucky?

givingitanothergo · 03/09/2025 13:54

around 11dpo here today (didnโ€™t track ovulation) tested this morning and completely negative ๐Ÿ˜‚
I think probably not pregnant ๐Ÿฅฒ

LaurLou22 · 03/09/2025 14:00

Hello!
Iโ€™ve been super stupid and stopped testing a few days ago because I thought I had either missed my peak or it just wasnโ€™t coming. Notice some discharge in my underwear earlier so decided to test and got a clear positive test! We havenโ€™t been having aex in the last few days because we thought we were out! I feel so annoyed with myself and feel like I have ruined our chances this month :(

overwork · 03/09/2025 14:36

@LaurLou22doesnt that mean that ovulation is imminent, rather than already happened? So get at it you might still have time!

LaurLou22 · 03/09/2025 14:39

@overworkah yeh I know youโ€™re probably right! Iโ€™m just so frustrated at myself for wasting my fertile window!
