@Taysonic @SureLook thank you for this, I’m trying to keep myself busy.

i had twinges in my right side which I know is the side I ovulated from yesterday and also started to get sensitive nipples, I’m hoping this might be it but trying not to get hopes up too much.
I’m under instruction to start progesterone suppositories today at day 21 as advised by Tommys because I have an “unfussy” womb, luckily I have loads left from my previous pregnancy. But there’s part of my brain going “this is pointless if I’m not pregnant” 😂

SureLook · 22/08/2025 10:28

@Notsure31 what's an unfussy womb?

OP posts:
Notsure31 · 22/08/2025 10:39

@SureLook theres a theory that people who conceive easily but miscarry regularly have wombs which don’t properly reject abnormal embryos before they implant so people conceive very quick but miscarry most of the time.

2 out of my 4 losses were tested and both of them had different chromosome issues. Dr Quenby at Tommys told me there’s some evidence taking progesterone at 7 dpo rather than positive test can help make the womb more selective for people like me. I’m a bit skeptical because I think I implant on the earlier side around 6 dpo but I thought it’s worth a shot. I’m not having as much twinging feelings today.

SureLook · 22/08/2025 10:48

@Notsure31 that's very interesting. I'm similar. I've no issues conceiving but I've had two losses. Very interesting theory!

@SureLook there’s not a lot of research on it but it’s something Tommys are looking into I think.
I’m more anxious about not conceiving this time because I had a a lot of complications with retained tissue and infections after my recent loss so I’m worried it’s caused some damage and the nhs have refused to check me properly afterwards, but I did have a private fertility scan which showed everything looked fine which is reassuring.

SureLook · 22/08/2025 13:16

@Notsure31 I can't believe they refused to check you. That's disgraceful!

So sorry xx

MyPeppyLimeBear · 22/08/2025 15:32

Another stark white negative test this morning and I think I have the start of AF now so declaring myself out :(

anxious about it being 11 months since the start of TTC now. I’m on the waiting list for a fertility specialist but so ready to just start chlomid or something now as I feel I must still not be ovulating.

best of luck to everyone else xx

We are on month 7 now. When did you consult with your GP? I’m wondering if I need to go on waiting list for fertility support now

SureLook · 22/08/2025 15:49

@MyPeppyLimeBear aww, sorry. Do you know how much longer you'll be waiting for an appointment?

Probably around month 6 I went because I was already diagnosed with adenomyosis in 2020 and wondered if there was any more help for me. She asked me to continue as I was and to come back in a few months. I did and she did blood work, determined I hadn’t ovulated that month and as I had all the other symptoms was diagnosed with PCOS, prescribed metformin and referred to gaeny and fertility clinic that day. I imagine the waiting list is about a year long ha ha.

do you have positive ovulation tests? If so I would suggest your partner goes to see his GP for sperm tests.

I’ve been given no indication so I think it’ll be a long wait to be honest x

I have positive ovulation tests yes. I am on metformin for PCOS too. I might suggest my DH get his sperm tested then.

When my GP initially thought it may be PCOS (pre-blood test) she said that if my blood test had determined I was successfully ovulating then the next step would’ve been my partner booking into his GP for tests as it could be him. So I think that’s the best option for you guys. X
