@CharLdn definitely a good idea to try this month and not to wait. It was an early miscarriage, no risks, and so what you won't pinpoint exact dates! Just enjoy and give it all the chances!
I agree CM is a better indicator than LH strips. The month I got pregnant it was super confusing, plenty of EWCM for like five days without any LH surge, luckily we did that one and only DTD at that time. When the LH surge happened it all already started to dry out, so very weird!

CharLdn · 09/07/2025 11:26

@MocktailMe @lavafield @PearOpal @Tater05 @Waitingformiracle

You guys will find this funny.

During the ultrasound yesterday I was speaking to the sonographer and she asked me if I was a medical person 😂

She thought I knew so much I sounded like someone with a medical background.

Tater05 · 09/07/2025 12:35

@lavafield I find that reassuring because that's me right now, still waiting on that LH surge. If it doesn't look nice on my graph I already assume I'm out for the month 😅

@CharLdn I love that in a sadistic kind of way, I wish we hadn't got to the point where we know so much! This morning I was thinking about what I'd say to a fertility specialist when I finally get the appointment and realised I can talk in so much detail about everything that we'd probably run out of time for them to give their opinion by the time I've finished

Waitingformiracle · 09/07/2025 12:54

@CharLdn I’m so sorry to hear your miscarriage was confirmed. But glad you are focusing on moving forward, it is really all that we can do! I am howling at them asking if you are a medic, honestly I feel like I could have a degree in this stuff now. I keep getting targeted on instagram with ads for courses for obstetricians so obviously my algorithm thinks I am a medic too 🤣🤣 if you didn’t laugh you would cry!

PearOpal · 09/07/2025 19:33

@CharLdn that is pretty funny but hey - at least that means everything you're learning is accurate and medically relevant!

MocktailMe · 09/07/2025 20:11

You've officially learned everything there is to know!! 😂

It's a shame we all had to learn this way, but I do actually think knowing our bodies so well is valuable!

I actually totally agree with not waiting to try - you'll be dated at a scan regardless, they'll just be less sure in those early days. I would take advantage of your current elevated fertility and make the most of it.

Hi ladies! Bit of a trigger warning with this post, but I took this test this morning. It’s fully pink and real in person but I have such a fear of indents and things that I can’t really accept it’s real. Kind of freaking out right now 🙈 it’s very pink in person

Woah!! Amazing! I see it as a line! I had a very similar one on 9DPO. Fingers crossed! 🤞where are you with your transfer wait now? Not on any medication atm? Do you test a couple more days and call your doctor?!

Waitingformiracle · 11/07/2025 09:46

@lavafield thanks for looking! I took another one an hour later and it was stark white, so now I don’t know what to think. I suppose my urine could have been much more concentrated. I’m waiting on my period to start so I can begin my transfer meds on cycle day 1, so not on any meds at the moment. I think I’ll just keep testing until my expected period date which is Wednesday and go from there?

Tater05 · 11/07/2025 10:04

@Waitingformiracle ahhhh I see a line! Only an hour later probably wasn't long enough to build the concentration back up again. My fingers are firmly crossed for you!

Waitingformiracle · 11/07/2025 11:13

Thanks so much @Tater05 , let’s see what another test brings. I’m nervous and don’t want to get even a sliver of hope up but we’ll see

Waitingformiracle · 11/07/2025 11:14

This is the difference in an hour, it’s a pretty stark negative so I don’t know

TTC#1 - Looking for Others in the Same Boat PART TWO THE SEQUEL WHERE WE ALL GET OUR BABIES???!
MocktailMe · 11/07/2025 15:06

Oh my god @Waitingformiracle if that's an evap it's the most convincing I've ever seen. If you're due on Wednesday then you're currently 9dpo yeah? At which point I do think an hour later you really could be getting a negative. Tomorrow morning wee in a pot and use the urine to do 2 different tests from the same sample - I know that's not very helpful for right now! But you would expect the same lines on both using the one sample, and will be better with FMU - was that FMU at 8.30am or was it second wee?

Id be all over the shop right now and I'm sure you are too. Have you not snapped those open? I know you aren't meant to but they're like tracing paper inside and with my earliest positives I found it very easy to see them once open (only ever done that with genuine positives when I was pregnant).

OP posts:
CharLdn · 11/07/2025 16:16

@Waitingformiracle oh my god!!

Everything crossed! Mine started out that way when I got my BFP - I found first response the most sensitive.

Also (as an obsessive tester) if you shine your phone torch through the back of it you can see it a bit clearer.

I was doing tests at 4am in the morning to catch first morning urine lol 😂

Keep us all posted!!!!

MocktailMe · 11/07/2025 16:50

I really do have everything crossed for you that this develops into a blazing BFP you deserve it so much.

But you know what, if it doesn't, you STILL have an embryo transfer at the end of the month 😍

Either way, July is looking so so good for you. Please update us! Xxx

OP posts:
MocktailMe · 11/07/2025 23:49

@Waitingformiracle your much more sane than me I've been checking back for an update but hopefully you've sensibly decided to wait to retest in the morning!

@Tater05 how are things with you now?

@CharLdn any clue where your cycle is at now?

For me I'm getting tentatively excited. I've had lots of creamy white stretchy/stringy discharge today at 6DPO which is extremely unusual and I know can be a good sign. Trying not to lose my head as even if an egg HAS fertilised the implantation won't have happened yet, and historically that's where it all goes wrong! But I am counting down the days to testing.

OP posts:
CharLdn · 12/07/2025 07:01

@MocktailMe oooh everything crossed 🤞

I’m counting my miscarriage as CD1 for me so I’m about CD7 I’m going on holiday this week so am not going to start tracking hormones yet on Mira. I think we’re going to try and just relax (lol) on holiday.

I think when we’re back on weds I’ll see where I am but last time it was my CM which told me I was ovulating so I’m going to track more on body signs and see how I feel.

My energy is really good now post pregnancy and I’ve completely stopped bleeding so I am feeling physically recovered. I’ve been back in the gym too which is bringing me joy and I’ve got a 5k race in 10 days time so I’m in my happy exercise place!

Waitingformiracle · 12/07/2025 07:58

Hi @MocktailMe @CharLdn @Tater05 @lavafield today’s test is pretty negative. I can actually see a whisper of a line, and if I hadn’t had that strong line yesterday I would probably be excited by it, but I think this must have been either a false positive or maybe a very early chemical? I’m confusing to say the least. I’m only 10 DPO (in fact some apps put me at 9 DPO) so I’m still so early. But I am just going to take it that I’m out and if I get a nice surprise then great, otherwise on to my transfer!

Also @MocktailMe I did not know about opening up the tests, this will be a new obsession unlocked 🤣🤣 that sounds very promising about your symptoms fingers crossed 🤞

@CharLdn glad to hear you are feeling better. A holiday is just what the doctor ordered!

TTC#1 - Looking for Others in the Same Boat PART TWO THE SEQUEL WHERE WE ALL GET OUR BABIES???!
MocktailMe · 12/07/2025 08:33

I can still see that whisper too. I do remember around a year ago I had a faint positive around 8dpo then immedielty started bleeding and it faded away - I assumed it was a chemical at the time (did mention it at the time but it was so long away I wouldn't expect anyone to remember!) so possibly this is the same or perhaps it was a nasty indent/evap? I'm sorry anyway as this must be a real rollercoaster. I would probably keep testing anyway, but no matter this outcome you have your embryo ready to implant at the end of the month so even if that goes fully negative this month still has lots of hope left 🩷

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 12/07/2025 17:47

Thanks @MocktailMe I do remember that happening to you. I feel like it must just be a nasty evap but my god, if that’s the case I am so cross with first response. I said to my hubby today that I won’t be using that brand when testing after my
transfer as I can’t go through that emotional rollercoaster after the transfer!

Tater05 · 12/07/2025 18:56

@Waitingformiracle I think I can see the faintest shadow. It is hard to tell though, definitely keep testing anyway. I really hope it wasn't an evap, that would have been a nasty one if it is!

@CharLdn I'm glad you're energy's come back, the exercise is good to focus on! Good for your mind and body too.

@MocktailMe that sounds like a potential good sign 🤞🏼
I finally got my LH surge two days ago so I think I ovulated yesterday (felt like I did too) at CD 21. I have a blood test for progesterone next week so hopefully ovulating a couple of days later won't skew the results too much. At least I actually managed to ovulate before the test this time 😂

MocktailMe · 12/07/2025 22:25

@Waitingformiracle absolutely - id stick to some cheapies followed by a digital if you think you see even the faintest line - it would be too cruel to see a line like that after the transfer!

@Tater05 yay for ovulation! I'm glad it's happened and before the test too, I think that timing should be absolutely fine id just be sure to say the date you think you ovulated. That test would typically be done day 21 when ovulating CD14 so its not too far out!

AnotherLiv · 15/07/2025 17:19

Would it be ok if I joined! I’m also TTC#1 since Jan 2024 - had a few months off for some tests and my rubella vaccine, but never even a hint of a positive test. Have had a few NHS appointments and next step for us is IVF. We’ve got an appointment for September to start - so 2 more cycles to try naturally 🤞🤞

MocktailMe · 15/07/2025 17:52

Hello @AnotherLiv of course you can. Sounds like you're in the long haul train too with a lot of us!

You and I are in the same boat - after this current cycle and the next we will be starting our IVF journey - or continuing it I suppose as we do have the referral and ive had the bloods taken ready.

It's particularly tough having all of this when TTC#1 imo, we've decided we won't TTC again if we are lucky enough to just have one! but dealing with the stress and sadness in a life that doesn't have a child to take up some of the energy is very difficult - not to mention being on the other side of motherhood.

Whereabouts are you in your cycle?

I'm now at 9dpo and BFN this morning, so still in the limbo era.

Ladies, any updates from the last few days?

OP posts:
AnotherLiv · 15/07/2025 18:24

Fingers crossed for you this cycle - still time to get a positive!! 🤞🤞

Yes very similar! Our doctor told us that once we have this next appointment we’d start the IVF process as soon as I got my next period. Me and my husband have already had all the tests/referrals we need - we’re dealing with low sperm motility, on the borderline for whether we would need ICSI or not.

Totally get where you’re coming from - even having one feels like we’d be so lucky! Especially being the wrong side of 30.

I’m currently CD9. So nearly back into the part of the cycle where I feel like I’m constantly peeing in a little pot 😂
