Hi everyone!

I can't quite believe it but after a while year we only went and filled the last thread.

I'll tag you all below so that you can find me!

If anyone silently reading along wants to keep following - here's the place. If anyone wants to read the fertility journey for the last year have a look through the last thread.

I'm amazed how much variation there is month to month there?

No judgement here anyway, If I temped I know I'd be making similar graphs!! This is how it gets us!!

Only a few more days til you'll know if you're out.

My appointment is in a week's time - by then both you and I will know if we are pregnant from this cycle 😅😅

Hey ladies, just wanted to pop on the thread and say I’m thinking of you all that have experienced loss today. ❤️

I can’t speak for you all, but personally I’ve found this week really triggering. I think awareness is great, but having suffered loss I feel it is more just a stark reminder of what should / could have been. Anyway, sending lots of love.. and will be thinking of all the little angels tonight when the wave of light is happening.

Waitingformiracle · 15/10/2025 19:09

Thank you @KT199we’ve just lit our candle for the wave of light to remember our first baby girl 🩷 thinking of you all too and remembering all of your babies. It’s a tough week for sure, and I wish none of us needed the awareness to be raised but I agree I think it’s great that it is talked about more as it’s a very lonely place to be.

MocktailMe · 15/10/2025 19:39

We have our candle lit too.

I have to say I do agree somewhat we have had posters up at work, and I know they are only there because someone in HR has decided it's a good idea rather than anything more than that...

But equally I've had the support of you ladies and my partner and IRL loved ones - not everyone is so lucky. If it helps one person find resources I suppose it's worth it. Definitely something I'm conflicted on.

I remember my babies every single day, thank you for remembering mine today too, as I will yours 🩷

@KT199 thank you ❤️

Its been a weird week - I actually shared a story and a lot of people I know shared they’d also had losses.

It’s given me comfort that so many people I know have had losses but also depressing to think every pregnancy carries so much risk.

I lit a candle last night coincidentally but I’ll dedicate it to you all ❤️

CharLdn · 16/10/2025 13:48

@MocktailMe my temps slightly dipped today so I could be out…

I had a big it’s not fair cry this morning and am working from home today. I’m just over it tbh. I am greatful aside from today I’ve not been too stressed so I’m trying to be gentle with myself. It’s ok not to be ok etc.

MocktailMe · 16/10/2025 16:39

Oh char it actually isn't fair is it. I know the crying and raging and hiding doesn't change it, but honestly sometimes it seems to help.

It IS okay not to be okay, and sometimes I think it's okay to take a day to indulge the anger and pain. You don't always have to rush to make yourself better and think positively. We do plenty of that!

Obviously I do hope this dip doesn't mean you're totally out for the cycle, but if it does, I'm here if you need to talk through any of the feelings.

CharLdn · 18/10/2025 18:40

@MocktailMe thank you! Appreciate it honestly this week is killing me.

So the past few days my temps have been 36.5 - so normally pre ovulation my temps 36.3 and after 36.6+

Ive been taking my temps at 5am 36.5 then by 6/7am they’re 36.6+ then today it was 36.3 so I thought ok my periods coming.

I’ve also been checking my cervix for discharge which up until today is clear, then today I had a tiny bit of bright red blood when I wiped at about 2pm and then nothing in my knickers so proper period isn’t here yet.

I’m driving myself mad with overthinking. There’s like a delulu part of me thinking implantation bleeding?! But also I’m VERY aware that the hope zone is the danger zone.

Either way I’m hoping overnight I either get my period or a high temperature…

PearOpal · 18/10/2025 18:46

Super hopeful for you @CharLdn we can be in the hope zone for you no matter what you have to do to maintain your sanity. Fingers crossed time continues to move quickly for you.

CharLdn · 18/10/2025 19:34

@PearOpal thank you!!! I’ll keep you guys posted!

How are you getting on?

PearOpal · 19/10/2025 12:49

@CharLdn Thanks for asking, I’m alright. CD15 and Just entering yet another TWW as I think I likely ovulated yesterday or the night before and I’m horribly uncomfortable. Not sure if it’s gas, anxiety, bloating, abdominal dicomfort or what but I’ve never had so much misery during my fertile period. I doubt it means anything but definitely a marked difference from other cycles. We’ve got a holiday scheduled for when I’d be due for AF so I’m trying to focus on counting down to that and not testing lol

That is exactly how I feel during ovulation! I swear, I always feel so bloated and lousy, and usually people talk about feeling good boosted energy etc! I always have at least half a day of bloated discomfort and feel really hormonal! I choose to believe it's a good thing as at least it means my hormones are doing something!!

Nice to hear you have a holiday lined up, that gives something to look forward to, and should keep you busy planning over the horrible 2WW!

I'm in mine too but only around 6dpo or so so too early for anything.

CharLdn · 19/10/2025 13:19

@PearOpal it’s so weird how every cycle is so different! Hopefully in a few days things will settle - distractions in the TWW are good, I was actually thinking of planning some stuff now for mine as this cycle I’ve been mentally struggling the past few days.

I got my proper period today which was honestly a relief to know. The pre testing - period late HELL was awful. I normally get my period day 25/6/7 and I only got it on day 30 this time so unfortunately hopes were high.

However, although I was OBSESSIVELY testing my temperature - honestly it tells me if my periods coming.

I’d love to be able to not track my temperature next cycle but I’m not sure if I’ve got the mental strength.

@MocktailMe good luck in the TWW - hopefully just a count down to ivf now 🤞

MocktailMe · 19/10/2025 13:30

Sorry to hear the period came but honestly sometimes it's better for the wait to just end!! I know the hell of it too well.

Onto a fresh cycle and if you need to temp - you need to temp. Do what helps you feel most sane and easiest to manage.

Feels crazy this is my last 2WW for a while now one way or another. Either some last minute miracle is taking place (which I very much doubt) or my next 2WW will be just after Christmas after my first fresh cycle!!!

OP posts:
CharLdn · 19/10/2025 15:58

@MocktailMe that must be an amazing feeling!

We’re 4 cycles post miscarriage with about 5 pre IVF so a few more TWW to go!

PearOpal · 19/10/2025 16:36

@MocktailMe if this is your norm then bless you because I’m definitely more in the energetic side usually but this month had be absolutely knackered. So excited for you to move forward in this next phase of your journey!

@CharLdn I’m sorry to hear that AF came but I’m glad to hear they that on to the next go. I totally agree on the temping. It’s hard to give up such a comparatively low cost and easily used option that definitely tells you what you need to know even though sometimes I’d rather it be slightly less accurate at times.

MocktailMe · 19/10/2025 17:35

Thanks ladies. I can't quite believe it myself 😂 next cycle will be a struggle as I won't be starting the drugs until CD21. You shouldn't TTC as you won't know at CD21 if you're pregnant, and then if you find out you are the drugs aren't suitable to have taken!! So it's going to be very strange to actively PREVENT pregnancy! After I start them I won't be able to get pregnant naturally anyway, so won't have to bother, but the thought of buying condoms is SO bizarre!!!! We weren't allowed to try for a bit after surgery but as I was in pain and feeling so rubbish it honestly didn't matter.

OP posts:
CharLdn · 22/10/2025 12:45

@MocktailMe what a thought of preventing pregnancy!

pre TTC we were only having sex a few times a month anyway so I honestly can’t wait to get back to doing it occasionally when we fancy it.

I’m having a better week post weekend thank god 🙏 although our consultant said we should have sex a few times a week throughout the cycle I think we’re giving ourselves a good week off - considering I only ovulate day 16-18 normally I think that’s fine.

MocktailMe · 23/10/2025 19:39

I think you'll be fine too honestly! If you test for ovulation there really is no need to start trying as soon as your period is over. Sadly we've all become too knowledgeable for our own good. The normal people try a few times a week because they aren't already so in tune with their bodies that they know when it's coming!!!! You are an expert on your body - you'll know when you need to try.

I've had another big hurdle done now which was my planning appointment, and we've paid for the drugs (astronomical - the price I pay for long protocol and high doses of everything!!!). I'm a little alarmed to discover I'll be doing 3 injections a day after the first couple of weeks, but mostly I'm itching to simply get started. As soon as my period starts I'll have the start date for the drugs and will get a scan booked for week one.

I'm probably 10/11 dpo so should have my period soon but now that I'm longing for it to start im willing to bet it will be late 😂

Although we did have sex in the general window we didn't put anywhere like the usual effort in (I know for a fact we missed 0 day and the day before) so Im not expecting a last minute natural conception in the slightest. For once I will just be really happy to see my period start and get this next ball rolling at last!

Hi lovely ladies, our sweet son arrived earlier this week via a planned c-section, which itself went smoothly and safe. The little boy js healthy and happy and we are absolutely delighted! Although the first few days have been very challenging with my recovery (days 2 ans 3 post op are truly horrendous but then it all suddenly gets better) and all the first-time parents' questions and anxieties around baby feeding and sleeping.

@MocktailMe your IVF journey is just around the corner now! Yes it is very expensive but hope it will all be worth it in the end!! Positive vibes!

Everyone in TWW - fingers crossed for this cycle being the lucky one!

MocktailMe · 24/10/2025 12:46

MASSIVE congratulations!!!!

How exciting - 2 babies are out!!!

A planned c section is exactly what I want if/when my time comes - I'm really pleased to hear your recovery is now going well after the first few days. Although the surgery isn't the exact same, it's not dissimilar to a salpingectomy and I found after the first week it became a lot better - but no lying on your side for at least 3/4 weeks! That first bath is a brilliant thing!!

Enjoy the newborn time im so pleased for you.

PearOpal · 27/10/2025 06:40

@lavafield CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m so happy for you. Wishing you the absolute best and a smooth recovery.

@CharLdn and @MocktailMe how are we getting on?

I’ve felt chiller then normal this cycle…which may not be saying much but slightly less obsessive is something. Just felt different this go in a positive way. I’m either 9 or 10DPO at the moment and testing negative but my hormone monitor has my PDG and estrogen skyrocketing so I’m hopefully maybe that means something…trying not to get my hopes up too high though.

MocktailMe · 27/10/2025 07:15

Hey @PearOpal all good just waiting on my period at now 13ish dpo!

9/10 is still early! I hope that rise will mean something for you - fingers crossed for the next couple of days for sure, but either way it goes I'm glad you've been less stressed about it!

@Waitingformiracle how are things?

CharLdn · 27/10/2025 13:21

@lavafield amazing and congratulations ❤️ now onto the next challenge of motherhood!

@PearOpal glad you’re feeling more chilled gotta enjoy the less stressed periods while it lasts!

MocktailMe · 27/10/2025 13:44

I didn't have to wait long for my period, it started about half hour after my last message. Which means down regulation injections start 16th November.

IVF starts this cycle! 🫨🫨🫨
