Thanks @Tater05 it really does! I'm slap bang in the fertile week now and for the first time in a long time it doesn't feel like life or death to make it this cycle (I know that sounds so dramatic but it really does usually feel that intense!!!)

@MocktailMe yay so glad things are moving forward for you ❤️ When we started going down the IVF route I felt such a huge sense of relief that the responsibility was taken off us for a bit.

We’ve got our next fertility appointment on Monday to decide if we crack on with IVF which I’m very much looking forward to.

Waitingformiracle · 05/09/2025 08:21

@MocktailMethis is fantastic!! So glad they finally have gotten things moving for you. And that timeline would be so ideal!! Plus now that you are feeling much more confident and relaxed about everything it will probably end up being the time that it does end up working for you, and if not you know you have that in the back pocket to start soon!!

MocktailMe · 05/09/2025 10:12

Thanks so much ladies.

I'd been so conflicted about doing IVF and I think a lot of that stems from being given a referral initially back in February when I was still pregnant. I think it made me feel guilty for being hopeful for IVF when at the time I still didn't know if that pregnancy would work out.

Now I'm in a better place and just can't wait to get started. I can't believe I will likely be starting the injections next month 🤯 you know I'll have alllll the questions when it hits @Waitingformiracle I really can't picture injecting myself but I know I'll do it it will be worth it long run.

It would obviously be amazing if we ended up catching this cycle or next and I know it's a possibility but I'm trying to frame these cycles as more 'it would be silly not to try' than 'last chance saloon'. If my time frame holds I believe I can also try in November too and I will be doing so. I just really really hope a 2026 baby is coming my way ❤️

Not long until your appointment now @CharLdn if you give the go ahead on Monday to move to a clinic I think you'll be on roughly the same timeframe.

What day is your next scan @Waitingformiracle

And any pregnancy updates from anyone else (or newborn @KTB34 though I know you're probably SO busy!!).

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 05/09/2025 10:26

Send all the questions my way @MocktailMe I’ll be so happy to help in anyway I can. The injections are daunting at first but they do become second nature. I’m still taking one every day through my pregnancy until 12 weeks so I’m very sick of them but don’t think twice about them anymore. My husband does them for me most of the time but when he’s not around I do them myself.

My next scan is Monday! I’m feeling excited about it rather than sickly nervous this time having done the first scan. Although the scan on Monday is an internal one which I don’t love the idea of pregnant as I’ve already had spotting.

Best of luck at your appointment on Monday @CharLdn that’s an exciting step forward!!

KTB34 · 05/09/2025 10:31

Good morning all! Sorry for the radio silence we are in the thick of sleeplness nights, nappies and lots of BF 🤣

So much good news on the thread!

@MocktailMe so glad you’ve finally got an appt. Can’t wait to hear how it all goes !

@Waitingformiracle congrats on your scan I hope your next one goes well too 💖

@CharLdn good luck to you too!

Lots of positivity ✨

MocktailMe · 05/09/2025 10:42

@Waitingformiracle I've had lots and lots of internal scans, they are a little uncomfortable but nothing painful, and they don't open your cervix or even touch it at all, it's all inside the vaginal canal, where a tampon would sit, so please don't worry, it's not going to cause any damage, and is no more invasive than sex would be (actually a lot less invasive as they are quite slow and steady with the wand and gentle). They also told me to say any time I wanted a break (although I didn't need one). I hate internal examinations but didn't find this one to be too bad at all, and didn't bleed afterwards at all even though they said I might and it's normal if you do. I was worried having them pregnant too (as this was before ectopic was confirmed) and they were so reassuring!

Don't be sorry @KTB34 enjoy your bubble you've earned it! I hope you're beginning to feel a bit more in the swing of it. Still having a beautiful September here - mild days perfect for a little walk with your baby when you're ready! ❤️❤️

Waitingformiracle · 05/09/2025 10:46

@MocktailMe that’s so reassuring to hear thank you!! I’ve never had one pregnant before, so the thought of it poking around up there was worrying me but you’re right it’s no more invasive than sex.

@KTB34 sounds like absolute bliss ☺️ (minus the lack of sleep of course). So glad you are both doing well 🤍

lavafield · 07/09/2025 09:03

Morning lovely ladies,
So happy to see some positive updates here!
@MocktailMe Fantastic news you are now all booked in to start the process, and think of the next few months as much increased chances and at least some pressure off you finally! Hope you are enjoying the upcoming beautiful autumn too and positive vibes will multiply 💓
@CharLdn glad to hear you are also moving ahead with your appointments ! And I am sure you had a great holiday too to be in the best mental and physical shape for the journey ahead too!
@Waitingformiracle Amazing news about the first scan going well! Fingers crossed you will safely pass the first 12-13 weeks and it will continue smoothly from there on too! X

I am good here, getting heavier and bigger, just a couple more weeks left to work and we are getting everything ready in case our little boy arrives earlier than due date at the end of October. I am considered high risk pregnancy due to age and some minor complications such a episodes of high blood pressure etc, but I am being sooo well looked after by consultants, numerous scans and checks and tests, honestly antenatal care is not as bad as it is sometimes described! My experience has been only positive!

Waitingformiracle · 07/09/2025 09:07

So nice to hear from you @lavafield and so glad everything is going well. Such an exciting time for you getting ready for your little boy’s arrival 💙 October seems like such a lovely time of year to have a baby, you can just bunker down and be cosy with your new arrival ☺️ hope everything goes well for your over the next few weeks and so glad to hear you are getting such excellent care!!

MocktailMe · 07/09/2025 17:01

Yes I agree! Autumn just seems like the absolute best time to have a baby, beautiful outdoors and lovely cosy evenings with the baby to cuddle up! That said I think Christmas with a newborn would be amazing too, and spring with all the new life. Summer seems a bit more problematic with all the heat waves we seem to have now 😂 but I'd take a 3 day July heatwave labour if it meant I could have my baby!

If this IVF goes as planned and works first time this time next year I could be any moment from giving birth 🤯🤯🤯

Do you ladies remember when I said I was trying to manage my expectations??? I seem to have forgotten!! Currently stressing like a mad person as my partner is waiting on a new ID for the IVF and scared it won't be here in time for our consultation. Won't be the end of the world I imagine, but give me anything to worry about and I will!

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 08/09/2025 15:34

@MocktailMe While I think it’s good to sometimes manage expectations, I also think sometimes it’s good to just give into excitement and let yourself have lots of hope. If we don’t then we might just go completely mad with this whole process!! I hope your partner’s ID arrives in time 🙏🙏🙏

@CharLdn hope all goes well with your appointment today!!

Update from me is I had my appointment with my clinic this morning. We had a great scan and little bean is measuring right on track. It was so nice to see ☺️ still just looks like a little blob but we could see the heartbeat beating away!! Feeling so grateful. I’ve officially “graduated” from my clinic now. It was quite surreal they said “please get in touch after the baby is born to let us know” I was like woah. Obviously a long road to go to get there but it was amazing to think that could be my last time in with them, at least for a while!

MocktailMe · 08/09/2025 15:52

@Waitingformiracle this is amazing news!!! You are so lucky ❤️❤️❤️ twice in a week to see that heartbeat getting stronger and stronger is just amazing.

Crazy to think you're on the other side now, ready to be handed over to the NHS again for antenatal care. That's lovely that they said to call when the baby is born - they must like to hear the success stories.

The first NHS scan must feel a long way off but I bet it will be here before you know it.

OP posts:
CharLdn · 08/09/2025 18:49

@Waitingformiracle how exciting so glad it’s all going well ❤️

I had my consultant appointment today and he said because we had a long time try pre hycosy and conceived the cycle after its very likely it was a tubal issue.

So he would advise us to stop tracking anything (lol) and shag 3 times a week for the next 6 months and then if we need use ivf as a back up plan.

My amh is high and my husbands sperm are excellent (like above average) so he thinks if we just chill out a bit and crack on we’ll conceive.

So that’s the plan!

I’m feeling good we have a solid plan A and plan B. We’re going to Australia in Feb so if we’re not pregnant by then we’ll do ivf when we get back.

Our consultant was direct and almost aggressively optimistic. He said age shouldn’t be an issue and there’s likely no difference in the outcome now or in 6 months time.

Waitingformiracle · 08/09/2025 18:54

@CharLdn that all sounds great!! So reassuring that he’s being so positive too. It sounds like you have every reason to be optimistic and hopefully your BFP is right around the corner. And if not you have the IVF in the back pocket! Great news ❤️ also lol I love when doctors say not to track and I’m always like yeah.. that’s not happening 🤣

lavafield · 09/09/2025 09:04

@Waitingformiracle It is so lovely your second early scan went great, and you can now focus on antenatal care, although the timing between scans can be still fuelled with anxiety! 😂 We did also a 10 week private NIPT just to be reassured on chromosomal health (and to find out the sex early!)

@CharLdn good encouraging news from your consultant! Mine also told me not to worry about the age too much - as long as your AMH is high and all other tests are great, this should give you a decent chance. High AMH levels also raise the likelihood that the remaining eggs are of better quality, he said. So try not to stress too much about the age, six months indeed won't make a huge difference at your age!
But it is good to hear you have plan B and can jump right into it when you feel the time has come!

Thanks @Waitingformiracle and @MocktailMe, I also think autumn is a lovely time with a newborn so looking forward to it, just need to still safely go through the remaining few weeks!

CharLdn · 09/09/2025 13:12

@Waitingformiracle @lavafield thank you ❤️

So exciting you get to meet your baby soon @lavafield

I’m feeling much more positive and trying to just erase the last year of anxiety and pretend that we’ve reset following my nice squeaky clean tubes in June.

@Waitingformiracle I’m going to cut down to temperature tracking only/CM and using flo to track when we have sex because I can’t go cold turkey. Let’s be honest

Waitingformiracle · 09/09/2025 16:36

@CharLdn that sounds like a good plan!! All the peeing on sticks is definitely the most mentally draining part I think

JHpr · 09/09/2025 18:23

I hope it is ok if I join… I had my first positive in August but unfortunately had a miscarriage/chemical at just under 5 weeks, we tried again straight away and now I am 11 dpo (I think I may have actually ovulated later than that though from my ovulation tests) I’m having some crazy symptoms this time that I didn’t with the last. I am super bloated and I’m having a lot of nausea which has been all day until around 4pm for the last 4 days… negative test today which is bumming me out, does anyone have any experience with a negative 11 dpo and testing positive later on? I’m due on on Friday/Saturday.

I think this is actually a really reasonable way to look at it. They do also say anything within 12 months is 'normal' so even though you sadly miscarried that actually does also reset your 'clock' as it were.

Technically I've conceived within 'normal' timeframes, but with pregnancy loss it doesn't often feel like that - it feels like one big long stretch of trying!

Your tracking compromise also seems really fair and balanced. CM is all I do now and it does seem to be enough to act as a general guide! I'm really hopeful for you over the next 6 months, I think there's every reason to be very positive in your shoes right now!

OP posts:
MocktailMe · 09/09/2025 21:18

@JHpr I'm really sorry to hear of your miscarriage.

If you are truly 11DPO amd negative then this is when I personally would be 99% sure I was out for the cycle. However, if you actually aren't sure when you ovulated then it's certainly still possible.

It's easy for me to say when I'm not at the end of the 2WW, but (as I've openly documented on this thread) there have been many cycles when I was certain I had all the signs, and was not pregnant. There have also been cycles when I was sure I was not pregnant, and was. I don't trust symptom spotting any more. I think the only truly reliable way is testing, temping and to an extent CM tracking (in that order!).

OP posts:
CharLdn · 10/09/2025 14:45

@MocktailMe thank you I’m feeling much more like myself again which is amazing. And I’m just thinking new tube new me is my new motto.

Also I think while the approach of sex 3 times a week seems more than 2 weeks of every other day (which is what we’ve been doing) I think not tracking takes the pressure off an intense time.

Also I like the idea of doing something different during TTC phase 2.0

@JHpr welcome!

When I got pregnant (sadly also miscarried) I only got a true positive day 12/13 - I found my temperature stayed high and that was the one reliable sign.

Every month post miscarriage I’ve 100% convinced myself I’m pregnant - especially last month as I had loads of unusual discharge but I don’t believe it till my period is actually late/temp stays high.

Its a bloody rollercoaster and unfortunately it seems that time gives definite answers - everything crossed you get a positive 🤞

JHpr · 10/09/2025 14:54

@CharLdnmy temp is still high and period is due tomorrow/Friday so I’m taking that as a good sign for now! I hate the waiting game, these next couple of days are going to be tough😂

MocktailMe · 11/09/2025 16:56

TTC phase 2.0! I like that!

I agree, you have to find what's the best, easiest, least stressful way for you. I'm really hopeful though that you won't need to be at it for the long haul this time. The fact you conceived straight after that hycosy before really does make me agree new tube - new you!

We need just a TINY bit more good news here and then all of us will be on the other side!!!

I think I've finished ovulating now, so heading into my two week wait. We will see, I'm not expecting anything though, at all!

OP posts:
CharLdn · 12/09/2025 12:48

@MocktailMe new tube new me? For TTC 2.0.

I’m also about to head into TWW - although its more 1WW for me as I don’t know when I ovulated.

This cycle we’ve hit days 10,12/13, 15,17 and I think I want to keep going till day 21.

My temp still hasn’t risen yet so I think if we carry on a bit longer it can’t hurt.

I’m trying to get back into the headspace of not being attached to the outcome, and accepting we’re rolling the dice each month and that’s ok.

Also I go on holiday for 2 weeks so the plus side of not being preggo is I can have a few wines!
