@Waitingformiracle nausea is good shows good hsg - re the spotting that must be concerning at an anxious but good you’ve got the scan booked in to get answers 🤞

Everything crossed it’s just very boring pregnancy bleeding - everyone says it’s so common but imagine it’s especially triggering post loss ❤️

Waitingformiracle · 01/09/2025 14:59

Thanks so much @CharLdn it’s definitely triggering but hopefully as you say this “common” spotting that I keep reading about. I’ll let you all know how I get on at the scan and hopefully all will be well 🙏

Tater05 · 01/09/2025 17:26

Omg @KTB34 any day now! Looking forward to seeing the update of his arrival and I hope it all goes as smoothly as possible!

@MocktailMe I can’t believe that with the clinic! Well actually I can, you’re right in that anything not a life or death situation they seem to mess up. I’m so grateful we have the NHS but I’ve come to expect these f* ups from them. So frustrating though, it's a good thing you phoned early so I hope they can get the ball rolling again. I still haven’t heard a peep from my referral that they sent off in February so if I hadn’t fallen pregnant I’d be going private now, probably still would if this doesn’t hold. Hopefully you hear from the clinic soon.

@CharLdn I had a few months where I had to ban myself from any research and I never listened to a fertility podcast because I know I would have gone too obsessive. It’s so hard not to, but like you say there are ups and downs. The month leading up to conceiving was by far the worst for me, I was so obsessive and just felt so desperate for something to happen it really dragged me down. That inkling of hope is what keeps us all going.

@Waitingformiracle Sorry the nausea’s been bad but it is a reassuring sign. Fingers crossed for the scan, how many weeks will you be on Thursday?

I'm 9 weeks now, mainly just had food aversions rather than nausea (sorry @Waitingformiracle!) but the exhaustion is hitting hard. I have my first midwife appointment on Friday so hopefully they'll book my 12 week scan after that, then I'll be counting down the days. It was reassuring having the early scan but I hate not knowing what's been going on in there since!

KTB34 · 01/09/2025 17:48

@Waitingformiracle I hope everything goes ok with the scan. I had some light bleeding a couple of times during this pregnancy and got checked out both times. By this point I was past a certain week mark which meant I could go straight to the hospital and not have the faff of EPU. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Waitingformiracle · 01/09/2025 18:15

Thanks @Tater05 I will be 6w5d on Thursday so hoping to be able to see a heartbeat. I’m being so ridiculously impatient because I have my official scan with my IVF clinic at 7w3d next week but I just couldn’t wait any longer and there is one of those independent ultrasound places right beside my house. Sorry to hear the exhaustion has taken hold, I hope you can get plenty of rest. I’m sure the hours and days are crawling by until your 12 weeks scan, it’s such a long wait! Such a great sign though to have had a good first scan.

@KTB34 thank you it’s definitely reassuring to hear that you had it too and all was ok. I called my clinic and they seemed completely unphased by it and just said to call back if it becomes heavy which is unhelpful but I suppose reassuring that they weren’t concerned!

MocktailMe · 01/09/2025 19:28

Lovely to hear from everyone.

@Waitingformiracle absolutely don't blame you for booking another early one. Every single day of early pregnancy feels a lifetime.

@MocktailMeit really does!! I think after loss in particular it’s all about doing everything we can to try and minimise the anxiety in the first weeks. I did private betas and this additional scan because my clinic only gives one beta and one scan and then you “graduate” from the clinic and have to wait weeks for another scan

MocktailMe · 01/09/2025 20:06

Yes - it's to get reassurances and whilst generally speaking that can be mentally unhealthy, in this circumstance given that early pregnancy can be so risky, and it is for a limited time only (12 weeks, God willing) I think personally you should just do whatever you can to get through and stay reassured! I know when I'm lucky enough to be in your shoes I'll be taking all the betas and scans possible. The worry doesn't disappear if you simply ignore it. Hoping you will get to see the heartbeat at your early scan ❤️❤️

Ladies he arrived this morning…the worst pain of my life 🤣 I must’ve been in labour all day because I was 10cm by the time I got to the hospital. Admitted onto the delivery suite (not my birth plan) but baby had pooed in his waters so had to go straight there. It was so scary so many people in the room, had to have an episiotomy and they had to put that vacuum thing on his head! But he was born within 17 mins of pushing, clearly he did not want to wait.

Currently being kept in for observations but cannot wait to go home had no sleep at all! X

lavafield · 02/09/2025 07:47

Congratulations @KTB34 !! Sounds quite something but I am sure it rarely goes exactly according to the birth plan. He is here and safe, and so are you, this is what's most important. Now all the pain is behind. First baby in this lovely group!! ☺️

Waitingformiracle · 02/09/2025 08:09

I am so happy to wake up to this message @KTB34congratulations!! So glad you are both safe. Hope you can go home soon and get wrapped up in that newborn bubble!! X

MocktailMe · 02/09/2025 09:14

Ohh @KTB34 well done you! That sounds so quick, you must have been in labour when you were messaging us yesterday! What a special day ahead the first with your son!!

Hope you get to go home soon and get a nap in!

🎉🎉🎉 First birth from the group! Congratulations xxx

Awww what a lovely message to wake up to @KTB34 🥹🥹 congratulations. Enjoy every moment with your baby ❤️

Sorry to see your both having such a tough time @MocktailMe & @CharLdn I don’t like to wade in too much now as whilst I can fully appreciate the depths of dispair and heartbreak that is TTC I can’t imagine it’s easy hearing from someone in my position at the moment. But thinking of you both and willing, praying, hoping to see positive tests from you both really soon that progress into your beautiful babies.

Hope things go okay with the scan @Waitingformiracle pregnancy after loss is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced mentally. The worrying doesn’t stop! It just moves on to the next thing once you overcome one hurdle. When is your scan booked for?

Waitingformiracle · 02/09/2025 09:33

Thanks @KT199it really is so so challenging. I find myself reading into every little thing and constantly worrying. Woke up feeling particularly anxious today so I’ve managed to move my scan up to tomorrow!

CharLdn · 02/09/2025 19:48

@KTB34 amazing news ❤️ So happy for you and I hope infertility will be a distant memory soon ❤️

Thanks for cheerleading us all on this group has been a real source of support and solidarity and I hope this really is our year.

Tater05 · 03/09/2025 09:22

Congratulations @KTB34! Wonderful news 🎉🎉🎉 hope you have a swift recovery and are home soon, ready to enjoy your new little bundle ☺️

Waitingformiracle · 03/09/2025 19:10

Hi @KT199thanks so much for checking in!! Everything went really well 🥹❤️ we got to see our little bean measuring a day ahead and with a good heartbeat. I honestly was preparing for the worst so I am so relieved. And we get to do another scan with our clinic now next week so I’m glad I did it today to keep me calm in advance of that!

MocktailMe · 03/09/2025 19:28

The best news! Hopefully you'll be loads calmer going into next week's scan now..and you're getting extra photos and memories too ❤️

Waitingformiracle · 03/09/2025 19:47

Thank you so much @MocktailMe ❤️ it’s definitely given me that reassurance I needed and hopefully will keep me going now with confidence until next week!

How are you doing this week? Any fertile signs yet? Hope you get to hear back from the clinic by the end of the week 🙏

Tater05 · 03/09/2025 23:04

Fantastic news @Waitingformiracle, you're off to a strong start with a good heartbeat ♥️

MocktailMe · 04/09/2025 00:32

I rang the clinic and we are now on the system (they found me as soon as I said my date of birth so that's something!) they said I'm still being processed at the moment but should expect a call. I feel a lot calmer now I know we 'exist' in their system. I've decided not to do anything else now and just wait it out another week or so and trust they will be in touch. I'm so ready to hand this over to someone else to deal with and battle!

My CM isn't EW just yet but it's turning more and more fertile every day. I'm CD 15 (just) and expecting to ovulate within the next few days now. We are trying and will carry on, but honestly I'm not expecting anything. I wish I could simply choose which ovary to ovulate from! If I could choose id pick the right for every single month TTC and then choose to go left and not worry about accidental pregnancy (fat chance 😂) once I had my baby. No such luck!!

So lovely to hear it went well @Waitingformiracle. Very pleased for you and good news that baby bean is measuring where it should be. Hope all goes well next week but defo will have helped with your anxieties 🥹

Good news @MocktailMe fingers crossed your referral is processed quickly so they can get you in and start the process

MocktailMe · 04/09/2025 21:10

I've got an appointment with the IVF clinic booked! Plus repeats of tests, it turns out some of them were too old and needed repeating anyway so we are doing a fresh set. I've got appointments for all tests and the consultation too once the results are back, all booked in and will all be done by the end of the month 🙌🙌🙌 I could be starting the drugs for the egg retrival as early as mid October given my cycle predictions 🤯 which means it's definitely shaping up for a Christmas transfer if I'm exceptionally lucky. Thanks so so much for all your support ladies! i finally feel some hope again xxx

That's great news @MocktailMe, hope is restored! I bet that takes a bit of weight off your shoulders, though completely understandable if you now have a different mixed bag of emotions. What a rollercoaster you've had the last few days!
