Glad your transfer went well @Waitingformiracle sending all the positive vibes for that little embryo to grow and stick 🫶

I’m good thanks for asking, coming upto 22 wks tomorrow. Anatomy scan went perfectly which is a relief so finally starting to think maybe we will take a baby home at the end of this.

Gosh @KTB34 that’s gone so quickly! Hope all goes well with the birth.

Keep up the positive spirits @MocktailMe and @CharLdn you will get there soon!! Every day is a day closer to being pregnant whichever way this journey goes.

CharLdn · 08/08/2025 16:05

@MocktailMe I feel this - I can’t decide whether or not to use Mira this cycle as it’s so expensive. But let’s be honest I probably will.

I’m trying the kitchen sick method this month.

I feel knackered already as we were at a wedding this week so the weekend I’m going to try and catch up on sleep ahead of the ahem ;) busy week ahead

Waitingformiracle · 08/08/2025 19:16

@KT199 congratulations on the clear anatomy scan, I’m sure that’s a huge weight off your shoulders and I’m glad you’re feeling like you can finally settle into the pregnancy now! Best of luck with it all!

@MocktailMe I feel you on the ovulation tests, it’s so liberating not using them but I’m such a control freak that I always crack and use them. I’ve also used Mira @CharLdn and I hear you on the cost, I was dropping 100s on it each month and kept thinking “it will only be for a month” lol how wrong I was. The data is so helpful though and I think is worth it if you’re struggling to catch your ovulation

MocktailMe · 08/08/2025 19:24

I remember looking at the clear blue moniter literally nearly two years ago when we were waiting for my coil to come out (September 2023 😭) and thinking no it's a waste cos I'll only need that for a couple of months or so!!!!!!!! I have gone back to it many times but keep thinking this month will be the month and it will be a waste of money!!!

Waitingformiracle · 08/08/2025 19:27

@MocktailMe Yep that’s so so relatable 🙃

lavafield · 09/08/2025 20:21

@Waitingformiracle All good here, thanks, almost 29 weeks, so getting ready slowly!
@CharLdn that's a good approach to the fertile window, hope the increased fertility sticks around!

lavafield · 09/08/2025 20:29

@MocktailMe Totally get it about OPKs, I was using the easy at home ones up to 3 times a day! I was obsessively monitoring the peaks every month and it did add a bit of additional pressure to the DTD timing. But I agree it was good to know how many days DPOs after (to start another run of obsessive testing!!) Maybe you can alternate months when you use them and when you don't?

MocktailMe · 10/08/2025 11:21

@lavafield if this month isn't the month I'm sure I will. This is the final of the 3 months of raised fertility after the HSG so in many ways I'm seeing this as the last natural try worth anything, even though I know there's no point being defeatist. We still haven't heard anything from the IVF clinic for a booking in appointment, but I was told it can take up to six weeks. If this cycle fails I'll really need that as it is truly going to be feel like the final lifeline.

I've also been losing weight in a very sustained way and I'm now almost back to a healthy weight (slightly overweight but not really problematically so, which is good).

@Waitingformiracle hope all is well, is be driving myself up a wall already at this point! Am I right in saying you are now sort of 8dpo equivalent?

OP posts:
Waitingformiracle · 10/08/2025 13:22

@MocktailMe thank you. I was up the walls last night about it, feeling a bit more relaxed today. Yes today is technically 8 DPO as I transferred a 5 day embryo 3 days ago. I won’t lie, I took a test today 🤣🤣 there is a very definite line on a FRER but as we all know from my last cycle it’s not reliable and my other brands are still negative (although I believe they have a higher HCG threshold) but I’m taking it as a negative for now. It’s waaay too early and I think tomorrow / Tuesday would be the earliest I would get a definitive answer on other brands. I know some people say you should wait for the blood test but to be honest, I’d much rather be prepared for a let down than to spend 2 weeks thinking I could be pregnant only to be crushed by a negative so this way brings me more peace. I won’t tell my husband anything until I get a solid line though as I don’t want him to experience this rollercoaster

MocktailMe · 10/08/2025 16:54

@Waitingformiracle with you 100% - if I didn't test in your shoes I would convince myself it was positive and then potentially be really really let down. I'd rather see several negatives, prepare myself and let go of the hope gradually before the bloods and then maybe end up with a happy suprise, or a final confirmation of the negative rather than the alternative.

I would agree we can't be sure of anything with the FRER - that evap you had really shocked me, and has completely destroyed my confidence in them! But it's still really early days - if you were 8dpo naturally I'd not expect anything definitive just yet. I have got everything crossed for the next few days though for you, will be with you every step of the way regardless!

Waitingformiracle · 10/08/2025 17:36

@MocktailMe thank you!! It makes me feel better to hear you agree with my approach as I often feel guilty for early testing so thank you! And yes I have zero faith in the FRERs now, although I do still see value in using them alongside other brands because they are so sensitive. How is all going with you? Do you plan on testing or waiting to see if your period arrives?

lavafield · 10/08/2025 23:22

@Waitingformiracle Fingers crossed for the next few days, in any case they will be adding clarity! I agree a 8DPO equivalent is still very early but hey we all often testing that early! I first tested 8DPO with an easy at home strip, and it was very negative, then 85 turned to a positive vvf line at 9DPO.
@MocktailMe Hope you hear from the clinic soon! Probably it doesn't help that it is August and perhaps many doctors are on holidays, but with every day you are closer to it!

Waitingformiracle · 11/08/2025 08:21

The line is clear as day today and I also have a vfl on a clear blue early detection 🥹 I feel completely numb to it all as I’m so used to disappointment that this doesn’t feel real! I still have a week until my beta draw so a lot could happen between now and then but for today I am pretty confident that something has worked in there!!

Tater05 · 11/08/2025 08:46

@Waitingformiracle This is looking positive 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 especially having a faint line on a clear blue as well! I reckon you're safe to still have the mindset of pregnant until proven otherwise, congratulations!

I recommend the boots early tests if you want to triple check your line, they seem to be more reliable than the frers.
So exciting!!

Waitingformiracle · 11/08/2025 08:52

@Tater05 thank you 🤞🤞 I’ll be straight to Boots at lunch time to pick those up 🤣

Waitingformiracle · 11/08/2025 10:00

Ok I’ve tried two other brands just to be sure (I bought about 5 different brands in preparation) and these lines came up 🙏🙏😭

MocktailMe · 11/08/2025 10:09

OMG amazing news. You are definitely pregnant. This is 9dpo equivalent right? These are amazing lines for 9dpo.

I hope this little bean is a sticky one 💕🙌 but it's 100% implanted this is such good news!!!

KT199 · 11/08/2025 10:22

Oh @Waitingformiracle this is lovely news. I second what @Tater05 said in relation to the boots early detection tests, they were great for me.

Keeping my fingers crossed all continues to progress smoothly for you!!

Waitingformiracle · 11/08/2025 10:25

Thank you so much @MocktailMe and @KT199 it’s so surreal, I am already terrified of a chemical but will just have to see what the next week brings until my blood test! Yes this is equivalent to 9DPO so I’m hoping that early implantation is a good sign 🤞🤞

lavafield · 11/08/2025 10:53

@Waitingformiracle It is happening! Very nice lines for 9DPO and yes early implantation has been proven to have somewhat higher chances of success than implantation at a later stage closer to 12DPO and further. Fingers crossed the embryo develops well! ✨

MocktailMe · 11/08/2025 11:05

Let's live in the moment @Waitingformiracle 🎉 you've had early implantation - which is amazing. You are pregnant - which is amazing. IVF has worked for you and got a real life embryo developing into a baby exactly as it is supposed to. We all know this isn't the end point now, but today there's no reason to expect anything negative. I totally understand guarding your heart but please allow yourself to be happy about all the good things!

Waitingformiracle · 11/08/2025 11:27

Thank you so much @MocktailMe @lavafield I really appreciate the well wishes ☺️ and you’re right, today I am pregnant so I just have to keep the faith 🙏

CharLdn · 12/08/2025 20:34

@Waitingformiracle omg ❤️ one step closer ❤️ and in the right direction everything crossed 🤞

Waitingformiracle · 12/08/2025 21:41

Thanks so much @CharLdn 🥰 tests seem to be progressing so I’m trying to stay positive and manifest some good news into my life 🤣 how are you doing?

CharLdn · 13/08/2025 11:38

@Waitingformiracle how exciting!

I’m good it’s sex week in our household so bonking away as usual! Not sure if I’ve ovulated yet I’m CD 15 and no LH peak yet…

Had a good catchup with another friend who’s unfortunately on the fertility struggle bus too on Monday which was really nice. It’s good to have a support network as this journey isn’t for the weak!
