Will this be your first try/pregnancy?

I fell pregnant naturally at 40 with twins x

Anxious24 · 22/04/2025 16:07

@nopenotplaying amazing I have 2 already but would love it. Did it take long time at 40?

I had my first (and only!) at 42, having had a miscarriage at 40, ie got pregnant at 40 and 41. Fingers crossed for you!

Good luck to you. I just got a positive, have 3 children and had a miscarriage in 2023 this is my second attempt at pregnancy as a older woman

Anxious24 · 23/04/2025 12:11

@Mrs777 congratulations do you mind if I ask how old you are?

5 months is not very long. How old are your children? Are they with the same partner? I have just had my third at 47, but my other children are still quite young. I also get pregnant easily (had several miscarriages after 43 before this one finally worked)

Mrs777 · 23/04/2025 20:16

Hello,

I am 41, has a miscarriage in 2023 and never thought I’d fall pregnant again. Really hope it sticks.

Cinai2 · 23/04/2025 20:19

I got pregnant twice at 41, one miscarriage and one healthy pregnancy, he’s sleeping next to me right now. Good luck!

Came off the pill. 2 months later pregnant, sadly that was a chemical pregnancy so only lasted a couple of days. Weird short next cycle then fell pregnant with the twins x

I’m about to be 40 and been ttc for almost 2 years now. I’m still positive it will happen, just taking that bit longer for some

curious79 · 26/04/2025 08:48

It's simple - the stats aren't on your side. It almost doesn't matter what success stories there are here. I had 3 miscarriages from 40-44 despite no problems retaining the pregnancy. Either my husband or I were producing faulty ingredients. Ultimately I haven't cared about it and in some ways have been somewhat relieved

Is it worth undergoing testing. Is he firing blanks? is your egg reserve depleted? That then allows you to make informed choices. Also both be as healthy as possible - zinc, folates, healthy diet.
