Hi everyone
moving over to March now as AF has arrived today. That means my last cycle was 26 days. My cycles haven’t been the same since being on the depo injection. I’ve had 33, 28, 31, 29, 21 lol. As long as I ovulate then I’m happy.

Is temperature the only way to know if you have actually ovulated?

AF arrived today at 9dpo 😭 I don't understand why luteal phase is so short. Can gp help? What can they do?

Try some acupuncture to length it

Thank you. I'll take a look into it 😊 was also looking a float therapy for relaxation

Can I jump on, moving over from the Feb thread. CD2... so here we go again! Managed not to test last month, and I honestly think it made getting my period more devastating as I was more hopeful. So might try testing again this month but only day before and day of period maybe?

Jo2104 · 25/02/2025 16:51

I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered some first response tests from Amazon to be delivered tomorrow! Im praying AF doesn’t show up tonight now 🤦🏼‍♀️

carolinep3 · 25/02/2025 17:16

I'm
So frustrated! I had acupuncture last month that was supposed to move my ovulation slightly later (it worked as was cd17) but this month it is cd15 and my clear blue ovulation stick is still a blank circle! No even rose of estrogen yet! I don't know what is going on 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm very regular normally

BerrieSweet · 25/02/2025 21:40

I've had a 3 day peak, with smileys 3 days in a row. Someone know what that means? A smiley this morning but no smiley tonight and a temperature rise so I guess that means the egg was released today :) We have DTD 3 days in a row and will tonight as well, he leaves for a trip tomorrow so I hope It's enough🙏🏼

Which clear blue - the advanced purple one or pink one?

BerrieSweet · 25/02/2025 21:46

@carolinep3 I have both, the purple gave a solid smiley on sunday, then I've tested with the pink one every day after that. It gave me a smiley sunday as well, but also monday and today morning, but negative after work today and my temp rised a lot.

I was reeeeeeally stressed yesterday so maybe that made the peak longer

Edited

I only use the purple one and the strips so don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ my peak normally lasts a few days to be honest. I just wish it would bloody hurry up!! Although weekend is always better isn't it for dtd 😂

BerrieSweet · 25/02/2025 21:54

@carolinep3 Maybe it's normal for the peak to last a few days sometimes! Ahh I understand the frustration, I hope you get the peak before the weekend so you can just focus on BD and get in the TWW!! Fingers crossed for you ❤️

Do you think you have been stressed or something lately that might have lengthen the follicular phase?

rhirhibumblebee · 26/02/2025 08:17

Hey familiar faces from Feb thread and new! I'm about 9dpo and I have the most insane painful boobs. I don't remember having this before so I'm not sure what it means. But obviously hopeful 🤞🏻😬

Muddysocks1 · 26/02/2025 08:31

Can I join? I’m CD13 today, expected ovulation on Friday. Have gone whole hog on supplements this month (not sure how long they take to work? I’ve taken various for ages but sometimes inconsistent or forget ones or don’t take for a few days) and trying pre-seed. partner away for work so hoping I don’t ovulate early!

So just an update.

I spoke to the GP today, he was very nice but didn't really know what I was talking about. He looked up progesterone when I mentioned it, he is asking for advice from gyno about it. He said I should hear back in no later than 10 days 😫
If they can't help then he said he can refer me to fertility but they might not help as I've got a child (18yo)

carolinep3 · 26/02/2025 12:06

@littlefox90 gps often don't know
Much about fertility. I would highly advise you to look into a fertility mentor. These are people who have specific knowledge in fertility. From experience in person they are about £100 per hr session or some people do online sessions too.

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 12:11

5dpo (ish) here and spent all of yesterday totally distracted in the office reading everything I could online about conception, ovulation, early pregnancy tests etc. Why is my brain like this! (I know I am not alone particularly here).

Bit calmer today thankfully, just feels like a looong time to wait...feeling quite positive this cycle but I was on cycle 1 too and that turned into nothing so I know it means nothing 😂

littlefox90 · 26/02/2025 12:23

@carolinep3 can they handle everything including prescriptions? He really didn't have a clue but was honest enough to say that

Jo2104 · 26/02/2025 12:47

@Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa if it makes you feel any better I’m basically stalking the Amazon man with my tests I’ve checked where he is every 5mins 🤣🤣
i was hoping they’d arrive before the school run but it isn’t looking very hopeful now 🙄

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 13:09

@Jo2104 I think it does make me feel better haha! Don't scare the poor delivery person when they finally get there haha. Whereabouts are you in your cycle?

confusedmum25 · 26/02/2025 13:10

Hi everyonee,
3dpo (I think!) and starting to get tender boobs, cant remember if i've felt this with the last 2 cycles. We dtd EOD during the fertile window🤞🏻

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 13:11

@confusedmum25 do you use anything to track your cycles? I've found it helpful being able to look back and think of okay I always have e.g. sore boobs/pelvic cramps/headache/whatever at this time of cycle, stops me reading too much into it!

Jo2104 · 26/02/2025 13:22

@Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa ill probably scare him half to death! Especially if he gets here before school run! Currently holding my wee 🤣
I’m due on either tomorrow or Friday, but I couldnt wait to see so ended up ordering tests 🤦🏼‍♀️

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 13:24

@Jo2104 oh you're close! Exciting! I hope he comes soon and you get the result you want 😊

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 13:26

I was planning to hold on until a delayed period but my period is due on the day my husband and I are away in a different city seeing his best mate and meeting mate's girlfriend for the first time...it's not an issue from a food or drink perspective but I don't really want to spend the whole day checking for blood every time I go to the loo so I might test the day before I think!

carolinep3 · 26/02/2025 14:26

@littlefox90 you would have to ask them specifically, mine has a pharmacist she works with who can prescript if anything is needed.

In other news. I've finally got a peak OPk!! Yay. But clear blue went from empty circle yesterday to peak today! No flashy smiley 🤷🏻‍♀️ don't know if that is bad or not?

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 26/02/2025 14:56

@carolinep3 some people's LH peak is very quick - if you Google you can see different patterns (slow rise vs fast rise). It's not an issue, can just make it harder to catch it on tests sometimes - people who peak quickly often test at least twice a day (or more) during the likely ovulation stage to make sure they don't miss it. Glad you've caught it!
