Hi everyone
moving over to March now as AF has arrived today. That means my last cycle was 26 days. My cycles haven’t been the same since being on the depo injection. I’ve had 33, 28, 31, 29, 21 lol. As long as I ovulate then I’m happy.

Is temperature the only way to know if you have actually ovulated?

Morning all, some of you might remember me from the Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb threads (i’ve been here a while) 😅 I was a bit quiet the past month as I found TTC was making me really anxious and stressed and also putting a lot of pressure on my marriage - my poor DH!

I had fertility tests booked in this month as we’d been trying for 7 months without a sniff of a BFP and had technically been DTD unprotected for a year.

I tested yesterday to confirm it was negative again before paying for the fertility appointment and I was so shocked to finally see a BFP! 💕 so I just wanted to come on here to hopefully reassure some of you that feel like it’s never going to happen - because I really thought it was never going to happen for us. I could tell you to stay strong and be positive but I know that’s impossible sometimes and it feels like the world is against you, but these threads have been such an amazing support for me and I’m sure they are for you too.

I did a few things differently this month so i’ll never know what actually made the difference… and I know it’s hard when you feel like you’re just doing everything you can and nothing is working, but keep going and keep doing things you enjoy as the TTC journey can be so tough ❤️ hope you all get your BFPs soon x

I’m really confused and wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else. I felt really weird on Thursday which was CD7, that evening I took an OPK (much earlier than I normally would) and it was positive, so I took a pregnancy test and had a faint line - I then took 3 different branded tests and all were positive.
I tested at the GP on CD8 and it was negative, but I was still getting positives at home.
I’ve tested again now and still getting positives!

The tests aren’t getting any darker or lighter but I defo had a period, it was a normal heavy period! Is this a chemical pregnancy?? So confused!!

I'm really sorry I have no idea, this sounds so confusing. Did you do urine test at doctors or blood test?

I suppose it's a really annoying wait and see situation?

That is really really confusing. Your poor mind must be scrambled! But I agree, it's gonna be a waiting game isn't it. Have you got more tests at home? I'd be doing them everyday at this point I think 😂

littlefox90 · 01/03/2025 20:13

@jelliebean9 how confusing. I think it is a case of keep testing. I don't see how that many at home tests could be wrong though, surley? 🤔 That would be driving me mad! Everything crossed for you ❤️

I’m feeling frustrated as I’m not sure when I ovulated and think we might have missed the best fertile days. I used to chart BBT religiously and could easily read my chart but this month it’s confusing. I usually have a positive LH then ovulate the next day (presumably) and temp shift the following day. This month my temp rose on the day of my LH surge (day before peak). Fertility friend thinks that’s the day I ovulated. If so, we would only have had sex on ovulation day and O+1. Which I know is still in with a chance but lower than the days before. Feel annoyed I might have missed an opportunity this month!

Room4onemore · 02/03/2025 18:33

Hi everyone, I got my positive opk last Sunday but today at 7dpo I have stomach ache and runny egg white cm. I’m going to do a ov test when I go to the toilet just incase, I had a slight temp rise today but hcg test is negative, could I be ovulating again?

confusedmum25 · 02/03/2025 18:46

@Room4onemore I think ive seen something before about ovulating twice is a possibility?? not sure if a week apart though is usual

Ive been having on/off cramps and pelvic pains today and like a weird dull pain in my boob thats coming and going, definitely haven’t noticed this is previous cycles. You would think I know from my March 23 baby😂

Did you have a BBT rise after last positive OPK? Maybe your body tried to ovulate but didn't succeed and now tries again. Happened to me last month due to stress.

AlbatrossSociety · 02/03/2025 19:05

@Muddysocks1 I'm having a really similar experience this month except it's my first month tracking bbt and doing opks so I don't know what's normal for me!! But what's happened doesn't seem normal... my LH surge happened on CD14 and my temperature spiked that day too.

My app thinks I ovulated on day 13 (before positive OPK - surely thats not right!?!?!), when previous cycles it has been predicted at day 19. My DP was away CD9-11 so we only DTD CD12 before apparent ovulation date. Am on CD17 now, I actually think I ovulated yesterday but only going by CM. I'm starting to think I may not track next month as I've just found it adding more stress tbh.

Let us know what ov test verdict is!! Very strange! Has temp dropped at all since first rise?

I wouldn't worry what the apps say. Just go off view from OPks and bbt.

If OPKs and BBT suggest different ovulation dates, which do you think is more reliable?
