TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

I tested and it was soooo negative. 😔

@EmCha that's so annoying about the temp being most likely out of whack. That's why I don't temp. Too hard with a toddler!
I'm sorry it's BFN. I know it's so disappointing. Will you test again or what are you thinking?

Not sure, I don’t think I’m pregnant. I just wish my period would hurry up and get here now so we can get going with the next cycle. 😔

My temp is still high this morning and I took it at the usual time after a good sleep - 12DPO.

Last month my temp dropped dramatically the day before and the day of my expected period. I tested again this morning and still very much negative.

I should get my period today but if it doesn’t come then I’m not sure what’s going on!

@EmCha any update? Any signs of AF?

It hasn’t arrived but my guess is that my temp will drop in the morning and it will show up. I feel slight cramping this evening.

@EmCha the cramping could be a sign shes on her way alright. Will you test again in the morning or just temp?

If temp is still high then I’ll test but otherwise I’ll just wait for AF to arrive. Will you be testing in a couple days?

Temp still high but again not the best sleep for worrying. I woke up at 5am so got a pee sample then but not taken a test as I’m too scared for the disappointment. 😣

@EmCha I think I read online that you can keep a sample for about eight hours at room temperature. I understand not wanting to test. Seeing the stark white is so hard x

I tested and of course negative. I’m CD29 now (13DPO) so I’m late. My cycle is usually between 25-27 days depending on the day I ovulate. Maybe I ovulated later than I realised, not sure.

@EmCha sorry it's BFN. Did you catch your peak this month?

I thought so on CD15 so I should have ovulated on CD16.

@EmCha how long would your luteal phase normally be?

Usually 11 days!

So that would make your LP 13 days this time. Did you continue to LH test after your peak? Or did you confirm with BBT?

TW for image. Is this normal discharge? Cycle day 9 and it seems like alot.

@TTCFC91 have you already finished your period? It looks like old brown blood.

I continued to LH test and the tests looked lighter. My body temp went much higher so that pretty much confirmed that I definitely ovulated but it took about 3 days for the temp rise after suspected ovulation day…. I do wonder if that means that I potentially ovulated later than I thought. It’s all a bit weird this cycle. AF still not here.

@TTCFC91 maybe it's just a bit of leftover blood making it's way out. If it's a one off I wouldn't worry. Keep an eye.

@EmCha if it took about three days to rise what cycle day would you have ovulated on then? Maybe you're not as far along as you thought.....

It’s a bit confusing because your temp can rise directly after ovulation or take a few days to rise. If I was to believe I ovulated the day before the rise then that could mean ovulation on CD18. That would make me 12DPO instead of 14 but negative tests either way. I’m sure I’m out. Just want AF now do that we can crack on with the next cycle.
