Clearblue Nightmare!!!

Hi all!

I'm 12 DPO Af due in 2/3 Days and this morning had the urge to test. I only had one test, which was a clear blue date checker test (stupid to take when It's early I know, but like I say I just had the urge) anyway test malfunctioned and didn't give a result after the hour glass started. So again to continue my stupid streak I took the test apart. Just out of curiosity really. When I did I saw 3 lines ( which I know is invalid and now understand that all these tests show 3 lines apparently) but I just can't shake the feeling that this time I could be pregnant. So I nipped out to pick up another test but in my panic got the wrong one. Another clear blue dye test and date checking. The dye clear blue was negative but showing the control line before I even peed on it so now I'm wondering could this also be a faulty test? The digital was negative which im gutted about, but still wondering if it could be just too early to detect on a digital date checker?? Anyway I'm sorry I know I sound crazy (which I feel) but do you think it's worth going out again and getting another test that is early detect?

Clearblue have been driving me insane. I would definitely get another test!

@7gdr5 Tbh I know a lot of the confusion is caused by my own stupidity and lack of control but two faulty tests in the same morning? My brain is cabbaged!
I don't know what I'm best getting? Can't get Frer in shops here only online?

Honestly the best tests I've used are cheaper early detect pink dye ones. Try to avoid blue

My fertility clinic told me not to bother with Clear Blue or any of the more expensive tests. They told me to get the £1 box you can find in Superdrug/Savers/Supermarkets which have 3 strip tests. Give those a try OP and take one every 24-48 hours.

@BearsLoveBeats Hey OP 👋🏼 So I am a crazy crazy tester... I took this test at the beginning of the month when I got a squinter on a cheap test... I was in fact pregnant! (Unfortunately ended in our 3rd loss) 😔 But it's interesting to know what's inside these.... I've taken them apart during all of my pregnancies.... I've worked out from Google that the top line is 'pregnant/not pregnant' and the faint line below is for the weeks indicator.... ignore the one on the far bottom right... 🙏🏼

@BearsLoveBeats I'm just going to stick with the little cheapy strips until I see something and then will only get another digital to confirm!

Af is due today, I’ve already gone through half a box of strips and 2 clear blues! 🤣🤣 can I hop on the crazy train 🙋‍♀️ have sworn am not being silly next cycle, she says 👀

I'm on the crazy train too! 10DPO and done 5 tests today 😂 thought I got a little something this morning but nothing else had shown

It is hard not to get swept along once you start testing! I was actually doing quite well this cycle. Today was my first test. At 12DPO thats unheard of!!

The clearblues are the killers 😂🙈 and were the last to show results in my last pregnancies so don't know why I still splash out on them and use them at like 2dpo 🤣

@7gdr5 2dpo 😭😭 I bought some wondfo strips on Amazon but then seen on here they can act up a bit so I’m just waiting on some easyathome strips, got like a box of 25! Should see me through next cycle 🤣

Bulk buying, that's smart 😂 plus I like the strips because I find on the cheap red dye ones the lense covering the test area casts a shadow and it drives me nuts

@7gdr5 yeah have found that also! I’ve even been back to the bin an hour later “just to check” 😂 didn’t even realise how good my zoom was on my phone camera either until using it to triple check these tests 👀

Why do we do it?! 🙃 we’re only on cycle 1, and I’ve already lost the plot 😐

Doooont even start on the fishing tests out the bin 'just to double check' 😂😂
You're lucky, my phone zoom is crap and makes everything just pixilated and blurry which makes me see things that aren't there!

Ok so I obvs couldn't wait till the morning and did this test last night before bed. I'm not crazy there's a vfl right?
But I'm second guessing because it didn't show in all the pics and can't really see it now so worried it was an evap? Those pics were about 6mins after taking it.
