Hey everyone. Can I join this lovely group please?. A bit about me: I’m 35 TTC no.1. On cycle 5 now. Had an early miscarriage in June. Have one tube from an ectopic in 2020.

I’m on CD1. AF started today after so many symptoms I was super confident this time but no luck! I even had brown spotting yesterday which I hoped was from implantation. But then bleeding started in full force today. Why is it that happens sometimes? Anyway, trying to be strong and focus on this cycle.

NamechangeTTC · 16/11/2024 17:21

Sorry to hear that @Tally89 but welcome

our bodies play such tricks

Thanks 🙏 you been through the same? Somebody said that one way to see AF coming is that every cycle you get closer to your BFP so that’s a nice way to see it x

MyGardenDaisies · 16/11/2024 18:19

Welcome all!
I am on CD 6, so got a week at least till the fertile window, enjoying the peace of it.

Same, CD7 today and I feel like this is the sweet spot where you’re not ovulation testing, not bleeding, not in the TWW. Nice to feel a bit of normality.

MyGardenDaisies · 17/11/2024 09:30

cD7 and just realised because my cycles are just 27 days on average in the last 6 months, I need to start Clear Blue digital OPKs today. Back to testing !

Boob pain has gone today so expecting to be CD1 soon

breastfeeding my toddler last night was agony but pain generally reduced today.

Apple thinks AF due tomorrow. Premom thinks Tuesday. Tbh both are just using period dates for the past 2 years so not exact

Every cycle my body convinced myself

wouldlovearoast · 18/11/2024 09:36

@Tally89 Ive been through something very similar. I'm 35, TTC on C4. I had an ectopic a couple of years ago - I did research into it though and apparently it won't effect our chances of getting pregnant as the the fallopian tube on one side can pick up the egg that comes out of the ovary from the other side. If only one fallopian tube is open, then that's enough for the egg to meet the sperm, no matter which side ovulation happens on. Our bodies are so clever!

Also last cycle, my AF came 5/6 days early and started with brown spotting (which I thought was implantation as thought I had a very light positive) to which turned into a full period. So either period is early or I had another missed MC.

Hoping for some good news this cycle! Although I am now slightly tempted to wait for another month or so as my twins birthdays are in August and I'm not sure I want them all to have the same birthday in the same month. Although, I know life doesn't work like that and therefore just cracking on with TTC because you just never know....Sending everyone all the positive vibes for this month 🤗

MyGardenDaisies · 18/11/2024 12:48

@wouldlovearoast how interesting! I have a friend that had an ectopic and one side removed and she says she can only get pregnant every other month.

OP posts:
wouldlovearoast · 18/11/2024 12:53

Yeh it's fascinating isn't it @MyGardenDaisies. I thought the same as your friend did until I asked the doctors and did research into it, and there you have it. Seems I was panicking about it for no reason 👏

Thanks @wouldlovearoast yes I heard this same thing! The remaining fallopian tube can move to pick up the egg from the other side which has no fallopian tube, our bodies are amazing eh!

This month I’m really trying to relax as much as possible and try to accept that baby will come when it is the right time for us. Altho I have been considering getting a clear blue advanced digital ovulation test - anyone using that?

wouldlovearoast · 18/11/2024 14:26

Yes I've used the Clear blue Ovulation tests, along with the Easy @ home ones which then you can input onto the PreMom app along with your BBT if you're testing that too.
This cycle I am not going to do the Ovulation tests - me us it just put too much pressure on us so going to go old school and just see if it happens, I have a good idea when I am ovulating but trying a month off tracking ovulation

Marie1990x · 18/11/2024 15:16

Hi all 👋🏻

@MyGardenDaisies seen you started this thread so will jump on 😄.

Quick background - TTC #2 for a long time (2 years). Going to give it my all this cycle and hope for a miracle. Recently diagnosed with PCOS and due to start letrozole soon once the rest of my tests are done, which of course could still take a while with the wait lists!

Will be due to ovulate on the 30th if predictions are correct (annoyingly it does vary due to the PCOS), and being the avid tester that I am I’ll probably start testing from around 8DPO 😂.

Sending you all luck this month and hope to see lots of BFP’s!

Heya - can I join 😊

I like the idea of having women going through this period - much easier than people IRL - everyone is at such different stages of life.

we are ttc - would say this is the first month proactively trying, prior to this last few months just haven’t been preventing.

Had miscarriage in March at 14wks and took much longer than we thought to heal. My poor body has really been through it, but feeling good mentally and physically now.

currently CD9 and trying out SMEPing. Fingers crossed to us all x

Confusedmermaid1 · 18/11/2024 17:33

@MyGardenDaisies just had a chat with the doctor and because my cycles have shortened since my MC and I’m having spotting they’re going to get me in to have an examination and some bloods to look at my thyroid.. was fully expecting to be fobbed off but I’m glad they’re going to do some tests.. he didn’t have any words of wisdom about LP in particular though just focussed on the length of my cycle over all (21-24 days)

MyGardenDaisies · 18/11/2024 18:41

@Confusedmermaid1 Hope that will help find answers and solutions!
but don’t be worried, I don’t have a thyroid at all and have been able to get pregnant, just making sure I regularly do blood tests and adjust levothyroxine as needed.

@Marie1990x hey! 🤗 x

TTC no 2 here. It’ll be cycle 2, I’m sure AF is about to arrive. First was 2nd cycle.

CoolBananas21 · 18/11/2024 20:13

AF just arrived 😣 am now on my 3rd cycle TTC baby number 2. Felt so silly for doing a test when I'm now on my period. Think I might not test in future as it's so upsetting when you don't get the positive.

MyGardenDaisies · 18/11/2024 22:02

@CoolBananas21 sorry to hear that, I have come to the same conclusion.

Hope you get the results soon and can get something sorted @Confusedmermaid1

I think I've finally ovulated after the mmc but no other symptoms with it other than a positive opk. But I'm completely out of this month's running either way i think. Anxious as hell of af coming and all the emotions that's going to bring this month

MummyV2021 · 19/11/2024 06:50

Hello ladies!! I'm on CD2 today after AF arriving meaning last cycle wasn't a success for me. I'm TTC #2, this will be cycle 4 - came off pill in June/July ready to start trying in September (post holiday) to get caught by surprise in September but turned out to be a chemical. Had 2 unsuccessful cycles of actually trying since. The chemical has messed with my head and brought back anxiety from TTC number 1 - which was very quick but had early MC, followed by chemical the month after, 1 month not trying and then BFP the following month. So I've now officially been TTC for longer than my 1st. My fear of chemicals and MCs is very high though and I'm a POAS addict for that very reason. Going to track ovulation properly this cycle with OPKs as I seem to be getting cramps a few days before ovulation and they last like a week so really hard for me to tell when is my most fertile point - very unhelpful!

MyGardenDaisies · 19/11/2024 09:14

@MummyV2021 I am TTC#2 cycle 4 as well! Due to ovulate in about a week.

I am really sorry about your losses.

OP posts:
MummyV2021 · 19/11/2024 09:21

@MyGardenDaisies thank you! I felt ok(ish) about the chemical when it happened as it completely took my by surprise - I was really shocked how nauseous I felt to be honest as I never got nausea throughout my entire pregnancy with my little boy! It's been since then that it's brought back the anxiety around it happening again. I think I need to try (if I can) to not test until I miss my period as I wouldn't even know that I had a chemical.

Fingers crossed cycle 4 is the one for us!!
