Does this look like just one line on my progesterone test? I’m thinking it is so that means I ovulated 5 days ago or more which is great news 🤞

Looks like mine which I’ve taken as a positive 😊.

I wasted one of mine by dipping it in water to check lines actually appear as I wasn’t convinced 😂 (it did)

😂 can’t believe you only get 5 in the pack for the price! Do you know how many DPO you were when you took yours? I messed up my OPKs the first month using them and sure I’ve missed my peak but I had all the signs of ovulation so glad this has confirmed it.

Not convinced it’s our month but I do feel absolutely rubbish and knackered so we’ll see, sure it’s just because I’ve got a cold though.

Haha I know it’s scandalous! I might try them again though as it is nice to have some confirmation, especially with having PCOS.

I did my first one a day early at 4 days after my peak, think it said to start 5 days from peak. It was already positive from then. Did another the day after which was positive again so 🤞🏻 they are accurate.

Aww I really hope it is your month and that you’re feeling rubbish from growing a baby and not a cold 😂.
I’m at the point now where I just think why would this month be any different (with it being over 2 years ttc), so don’t really expect to ever see a BFP again. Obviously I REALLY hope I do, but I’m trying to be rational about it not looking likely 🙃

MyGardenDaisies · 07/12/2024 09:20

@SarahB88 I can see a faint test line, but I'm not sure what that means for these.

Good morning!
9/10 DPO, stark white, started having some cramping, period due on Monday, so I am preparing to admit defeat this cycle.

Can't believe I'll be on to cycle 5! In December my plan is to not track ovulation, use up supplements I've got, try our best to DTD over Christmas when I'm ovulating, but take a bit of a mental step back and then in January start the year with my doctors, and DP has agreed to do SA if that gives me peace of mind 😊

@Marie1990x I think I’ll do another one tomorrow. Didn’t realise it had to be first urine either so I went with second but still seems to be ok. I really hope this is your month for you! I’ve been feeling sick as well all morning and that was one of the first signs with my daughter then HG didn’t leave me but I think I’m just unwell.

@lynzmb @Kinderbueno89 another recommendation for easy@ home here! Along side the Premom app you can’t go wrong 😊, so simple to use. I’ve used a few different brands and for me none of them are anywhere near as good as the easy@ home ones.
Also, I start testing around CD8 once a day and then when it darkens twice a day (if not three sometimes).

How is everyone getting on? I had a fair few wines last night at a Christmas party, oops.

I've got my date day with hubby today and we're at bottomless brunch... was planning on it being my last day to drink but my lower left twinges have turned into lower left back pain today and part of me is wondering if it's actually implantation and I'm starting to feel guilty about having a drink! But then part of me thinks even if that's happening today then surely a wine or 2 won't hurt?! Ahhhhhh

I’m sure it wouldn’t harm? It’s awful that thought though isn’t it. I did think the same yesterday but then thought you can’t put everything on hold and surely it won’t impact it 🥴?
I was steaming the day before I got my positive with my daughter (we weren’t “properly” trying so I had no idea).

I’m at another Christmas party next weekend. AF is due next Sunday so at least I should know by then and have no guilt in drinking at that one

Congrats @KT199 & @pcbrb so excited for you! Hope you lines continue to progress!!!

@CoolSummer89 I also had no symptoms in the lead up to getting my BFP for my second son. So could be a good sign 🤞Fingers crossed!

Feel like I'm no getting started, my period is over so just waiting to get into my Fertile window Smile

What prenatals is everyone taking?

I was taking pregnacare conception because it seemed to have a good formula. Now I've been told to take high dose folic acid because of 4 previous losses, so I am struggling with how to add vitamins on top. Does anyone have advice?

At the moment I'm taking:

  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D spray
  • Iron (Spatone) as recent blood test showed low iron.
  • Planning to take probiotics.

I think I am 1DPO so I may also self administer low dose aspirin, and am going to try not to drink until my period is due on 21st. I don't think this is necessary for everyone so not being preachy, just that I seem to find it easy to get pregnant but my body doesn't seem to hold on to the baby, sadly.

I have no idea how to work the ovulation tests, but I'm going to try not to stress about those this month, and maybe try next month.

KT199 · 07/12/2024 10:12

Hey @TruthUnwinding
I was taking a lot of individual vitamins and just found the best way to do it was to split them into morning / afternoon / evening and get a tablet box for them.

I took:

  • Methafolate
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin C
  • Omega 3 (high in DHA)
  • COQ10
  • Magnesium Glycinate
  • Vitamin B12

I tried to buy COQ10 in Holland and Barrett, but the dose was quite high and I was advised against it.

SarahB88 · 07/12/2024 10:20

@MummyV2021 I was away in Brighton with work for a few days before I got my BFP with my daughter and drank wine and gin, had seafood and soft cheese 😂 she’s turned out totally fine so go for it. It’s a one off and you’re not going to be going wild by the sounds of it.

Of course, I bought all mine off of Amazon so I didn’t get any advice though.

  • Mefafolate was Solgar
  • Omega 3 was Zipvit Super Strength
  • COQ10 was Gozitepe (600mg)
  • Magnesium Glycinate was Zipvit

Morning all. 11dpo and I am cramping and have just picked a fight with the husband. I reckon AF might be on her merry way.

Just feeling a bit annoyed. Every previous month I have felt like, I don't know how to describe it, either that it was my fault for doing something wrong or maybe not deserving to be pregnant, or feeling stupid for getting my hopes up. But this month for some reason I feel entitled. It's been 12 months and we have been doing everything right, my periods are regular. WHERE'S MY BABY GODDAMMIT 😠 😅

I think I might get these next cycle if this one doesn't work out! But the price puts me off (I say this, I'll happily buy a digital every month for it to just be a BFN 😂)
Are they easy to use? I've tried researching how they work etc and from what I've seen do you take them from 5dpo and if there is only 1 line it means your PDG is high enough to indicate ovulation? Xx

I just did it the same as an OPK so pee in the pot and dip the stick in for 10 secs. The packet said read after 5 mins so I jumped in the shower quickly as daughter was napping, checked it when I came out and only 1 line which as you say is meant to show your levels are high enough to indicate successful ovulation. It was really easy to use. I wasn’t entirely sure when I ovulated as I messed up my OPKs so I’m assuming I’m at least 5 DPO for this to show up as it did. Which gives me good hope that we’ve timed things well this month 🤞 still don’t think we’d be so lucky to get it on first try though 😂

MyGardenDaisies · 07/12/2024 12:26

AF arrived, meaning it was a short 26 day cycle, only 9 day LP.

I am getting worried about my periods being so short every other month, and such a short LP...
On a positive note next fertile window will be nearly done by Christmas, so we don't have to try literally on Christmas Day.

I had a big cry yesterday when I tested negative, so now having my period I just feel a bit 😕 numb.

On to cycle 5... next AF due 3rd of Jan, hope the start of the new year will bring us a baby.

I can't definitely only see one. Good luck and baby dust ❤️

rebecca199 · 07/12/2024 14:36

@SarahB88 amazing thank you! Sod it I've just ordered them now on next day Amazon delivery! I am 3dpo so still time to check this cycle and hopefully I don't need them next cycle!!

CoolSummer89 · 07/12/2024 14:39

@MyGardenDaisies oh I'm so sorry to read this. Having a little cry is good for soul.

Have you been to your GP? A short luteal phase definitely constitutes getting a blood test, whether trying to TTC or not! Big hugs xx

SarahB88 · 07/12/2024 15:09

Hmm just been to the loo and have the tiniest bit of blood in my pants. I’m prob 6 DPO, I had implantation bleeding with my daughter. I’m very crampy and feeling sick. Trying not to read in to things!

So sorry to hear 💔 I am the going through the same… sore boobs, spotty, argued with DH yesterday over the pettiest thing 🤦🏼‍♀️ and AF due tomorrow. So I feel your pain!

You should feel like you deserve a baby, especially as you’re putting in a lot of work TTC! I have similar conflicting feelings of have I done something wrong and that it should have happened for us by now. Are you going to ask for any tests to be done now it’s reached the 12 month mark?

Marie1990x · 07/12/2024 16:32

@MyGardenDaisies aghh I’m so sorry AF has arrived. Definitely worth contacting your GP with your short luteal phase for sure. The positive is you can enjoy all the festivities 🥰

@SarahB88 that sounds very positive! I never had implantation bleeding so can’t comment on that, but fingers crossed it is that and you get your BFP in the next few days

@CoolSummer89 I definitely understand what you mean. It’s so tough ttc and especially when it’s taking so long.
I’ve seen about 3 pregnancy announcements on social media just today and it’s such a stab in the gut

CoolSummer89 · 07/12/2024 16:36

@Kateb149 @Marie1990x thanks both. Yup I have already been referred to fertility hospital, hoping to get an appointment in January.

How are you guys getting on? Are you testing early or waiting for AF?
