Morning all, I've been hanging around in the background but found I was becoming a bit obsessive with it so stopped looking on Mumsnet.

Just wanted to share my bit of news 🥰 I'm in my third cycle of trying for my first baby, 31 years old (32 next month). AF is 2 days late so took a test this morning and I'm ecstatic to say it's positive. I don't really have any symptoms except possibly a heightened sense of smell. I will do a digital on Monday.

Good luck to all ✨

Congratulations on the strong positive!!! Such a lovely line!! 😊
Heightened sense of smell really came first to me too on my pregnancy with my son who is turning one soon.
Hope you have a very good pregnancy ahead! Such happy news. 🎉

Sorry haven't been on for a few days, been very busy at work which has been nice to keep my mind off things.

Sorry for your loss @JW24M - hope the funeral yesterday was a fitting send off for them.

Sorry to hear AF arrived @Sugarcube84 @Confusedmermaid1 @MoonDaydream @Wondergirl1111

Welcome @Travelexplore24 @Ellamaee @Aprilsunnyday

And finally congratulations @pigw - both for the BFP but also holding out for a late AF!

@Tadpolecat thank you 🥰

@Aprilsunnyday oooh that's interesting to know as wasn't sure if it was in my head 😅. Thanks so much, I really can't believe it.

@CoolSummer89 thank you! I tried to put it to the back of my mind and then my husband was away Thursday and Friday so wanted to wait for him to be back to test

@Kateb149 It's absolutely ridiculous isn't it, I feel like I'm not thinking straight at all! I know it's so silly but I was out and about today at a Christmas thing and saw lots of pregnant ladies with their little toddlers in the prams and was like OMG how incredible - I just kept thinking that if I hadn't have had my early loss a few weeks ago that I would've had a teeny tiny baby inside me too. I know I need to be patient but it's tricky isn't it! Hope you're doing ok Xx

I’m so sorry for your loss 💔 it’s not silly at all! I am doing the same and am envious of every pregnant woman or mother right now! I just keep telling myself that I don’t know what their journey was like to have a child and it could have been just as difficult. We don’t know what struggles people go through. But so glad we have this group to share all of our experiences.
How many DPO are you now?
I’m CD9 today so hoping this will be our month, we’re trying a couple of different things this month and i’ve just started taking magnesium as i’ve heard it can help with menstrual cycles so we’ll see how that goes x

Thank you lovely. I am feeling like we’ve done all we can this cycle, and if it’s not meant to be - on to cycle 5!! We managed to BD every day bar the funeral day which, annoyingly, was my ovulation day. The stress of the funeral and the emotional side may have affected egg release I guess so we’ll just have to wait and see! TWW - no testing until day of AF unless it arrives - I can do this .. I can do this… I am … going to try to do this 😂😂 xx

MrsB902 · 17/11/2024 08:01

Congratulations @pigw 🥰

Sending love to everyone who is struggling, it’s such a mix of emotions sometimes. It’s hard not to feel a pang of jealousy when you see a lovely baby bump then I always feel so guilty afterwards! I feel like everyone around me is pregnant at the minute but keep having to remind myself I don’t know what they’ve been through to get to that point as sometimes it can feel that everyone else falls pregnant at the drop of a hat.

I’ve convinced myself I’m out already this month. I always start to get really heavy, sore boobs about a week before my period is due and they’ve shown up today at 7dpo 😩

Readysetgooo · 17/11/2024 09:20

Morning all. After a faint shadow on an easy at home yesterday, two strong positives today. Feeling very grateful and excited to share but not ready to tell family yet so thankful for this board.

Congratulations!!! Great news! How many days post ov did you test? Just curious xx

Readysetgooo · 17/11/2024 09:28

@CoolBananas21 thank you. Not sure I believe it yet. I had a shadow of a line on easy at home at 8dpo but I think it was too faint to be reliable. Today's tests in the pic are 9dpo.

HollyGolightly4 · 17/11/2024 09:38

I'm out. AF arrived lightly yesterday and I imagine it's going to hit with a vengeance today. Lots of love to everyone in the same boat 💐

Congratulations to you all on your positives.

Congratulations Girl!! I'm so happy for you xxx

I have heavy sore boobs today but also a little dull ache/tug/pull on my lower right side. So im keeping my hand there if there is a little beano growing I want it to be welcomed and comforted xxx

Trying not to symptom spot but this feeling is unusual to me so I found this video. It thought it was informative for those who don't understand the phases, like me. My first 3 pregnancies were immediate.
3mths eldest daughter ,
1mth (MMC),
1 mth (youngest daughter in heaven)

Happy Sunday all x

LittleGeneral · 17/11/2024 09:56

Well I categorically ruled myself out as I was approx 17dpo and all BFN every day despite AF being 3 days late but this happened this morning... hoping it sticks! Sending baby dust to everyone. Hopefully offers some reassurance that you're not out until you're fully out! ❤️

Readysetgooo · 17/11/2024 10:55

Thanks @Smileymom I'm finding it strange thinking there's a little bean growing inside again.

The video is really interesting, it's helpful to understand stages especially when you're desperate to test and tracking every day . I had a tugging sensation to one side in my lower back at about 6dpo, like someone was pushing or pulling at a bruised area then it was just gone. It was so unusual to me too other than in my first pregnancy which is why it stood out.

Sorry for your losses so far. Hopefully a positive test for you soon 🤞

Completely agree with this - I too feel a bit jealous then guilt for doing so! So many people on social media seem to be announcing today. Just feels heavy with the stupid algorithm showing me all these videos and photos.

hopefully the sore boobs is a good sign rather than AF sign!!
I’m only 2dpo but keeping everything crossed for this month! Xx

That's very hopeful to hear regarding the feelings. My first two I wasn't symptom spotting so I'm desperately trying not to do it this time xxx

Readysetgooo · 17/11/2024 12:38

@Smileymom it's difficult not to when you're so switched on to your body and you know you're counting down days. I ate a chocolate digestive which I love but it tasted absolutely awful and had indigestion which I never get but everything is so easily explained away as something else or nothing. It's a really difficult time.

Smileymom · 17/11/2024 13:02

I'll keep you posted 💜💜

Positivity1234 · 17/11/2024 15:43

Congratulations @Readysetgooo & @LittleGeneral !!

Hi ladies,

First ever BFP!! I’m 3 days late for AF and 13dpo, no symptoms at all. This is my 4th cycle trying to conceive!

Sending you all lots of baby dust xxx
