does anyone test their LH after ovulation? I don’t but randomly did today (7DPO) and it was above my usual baseline . Not by loads so guess just a normal fluctuation though.
I’ve also had much more tender breasts than usual but I wonder if it’s progesterone and everything I’ve been doing to try and balance hormones may have raised my progesterone somewhat? Have done another mid luteal blood test so will see what that comes back as 🤞🏻

I did last month! It dipped and then randomly went up a bit which I was surprised about! I also found it was higher than my normal baseline during my AF 🤷🏼‍♀️ no idea what that’s about 😅 I’ve attached my chart so you can see.
My breast tenderness has been bad one month, then not bad the next so I feel like my hormones might still be sorting themselves out? Could I ask how you’ve been trying to balance your hormones? Hope the blood test comes back with good news 🤞

Oh that is interesting!!!

Re hormones - drinking less alcohol, focusing on getting more sleep (I often only get 6hrs which I don’t think is enough), reducing stress (including having counselling), trying to eat more protein less carbs, and vitamins/supplements (proceive women, vitamins E, B, C, CoQ10, possibly more than I’m forgetting 😂

Mine might just be a one off but usually it’s 0.1 or thereabouts, until the days before ovulation when it gradually increases. I thought LH was meant to be at its lowest during the luteal phase but then elsewhere I’ve read it can come up before your period?

It sounds like you’re doing all the right things! I’m taking proceive too and have definitely noticed improvements - mainly that my LH surge is much higher than it was a few months ago! My PMS symptoms are worse now but I feel like that’s just a sign that my hormones are working 😅 and i’m having more ‘normal’ periods for me (they are more similar now to how they were before I had the coil). So i’d say they definitely do what they’re meant to.

I saw your chart and see what you mean. Maybe track if for a few more days and see what happens? My highest reading on AF day 2 was 0.45 which I wasn’t expecting! But LH can detect HCG I think too so if yours carries on going up then that might be a good sign? X

Oh that sounds really positive!!! Interestingly my LH peak wasn’t as high as usual this month, not sure why. I do get quite sucked into the data of it all… Will see how it goes over the next couple of days. I’m basically convinced I’m infertile and nothing is going to happen, so if it does it will feel like a miracle! But I do genuinely think the lifestyles changes and supplements help, it possibly just takes time and consistency. Good luck with yours 🤞🏻🤞🏻

It might take a couple of months to see results so hang in there. How long have you been TTC now? I have definitely worried about that too, I’ve been told I have one ovary stuck behind my uterus and endometriosis has been mentioned a couple of times although never been diagnosed! It’s hard to stay positive when you get a BFN every month isn’t it, but i’m sure our time will come.
Good luck to you too! 🤞 x

Mae2B · 17/11/2024 20:45

LittleGeneral · 17/11/2024 09:56

Well I categorically ruled myself out as I was approx 17dpo and all BFN every day despite AF being 3 days late but this happened this morning... hoping it sticks! Sending baby dust to everyone. Hopefully offers some reassurance that you're not out until you're fully out! ❤️

Congratulations! 🎉 That's so inspiring! 🙏🏻
I'm on my first cycle TTC and have really been trying to let go during the 2ww, today I'm 10dpo and decided to test on SMU and it's a BFN. I know technically it's early, it's not even the FMU and it was a cheapie. But I felt so deflated afterwards. I know a few people that conceived on the first try, and I think a small (irrational) part of me will feel like a failure if that doesn't happen to me. Also because I can only try every other cycle so it's a 2m wait each time and I can't help but feel that I'm running out of time 🙁

But thanks for giving me hopes. I'm not totally out yet, even if the clearblue one tomorrow is a BFN as well 🥹

Congratulations @Readysetgooo & @LittleGeneral !!

Hi ladies,

First ever BFP!! I’m 3 days late for AF and 13dpo, no symptoms at all. This is my 4th cycle trying to conceive!

Sending you all lots of baby dust xxx

Aw congratulations!! I’m on cycle 4 now at 2 dpo! Really hoping this is our month xx

Inked1518 · 17/11/2024 23:41

@Readysetgooo I came back to check in and seen the update!
Congratulations!! So pleased for you!!

My saga continues 😂 my period arrived 2-3 days early and started with light pink spotting then got a bit heavier but not nearly as heavy as my period normally is and now on the second day which should be one of my heaviest I have had very little! Barely filling a single pad and currently nothing but light pink when wiping so I'm baffled 🤔🙄
But think it could maybe be stress. Just would have been nice to have a normal period 😂

Readysetgooo · 18/11/2024 00:42

@Inked1518 aaaah thank you for checking in. A pleasant surprise this month. Doesn't feel real just yet.

That is a saga, how annoying for you. On the one hand then at least you know it's next cycle but on the other it's like omg what's going on?!? Couldn't be an implantation bleed since it's so unusual for you? 🤔

It'll sink in soon I'm sure! Take it all in and enjoy it 🥰

I'll be honest I don't know. Even if my period has been early or late in the past by a couple of days it's always been 4-5 days long. The light pink at the start was odd, the first day wasn't nearly as heavy as I expected and now it's basically stopped altogether. That's extremely uncommon for me, so uncommon that its NEVER happened before. But I do have a family member terminally ill at the moment too so it's maybe more likely stress but yeah would have been good to have a definitive end to this cycle lol

Hello all!
jumped over from the prev thread. How’s everyone getting along? Halfway through the tww for me. Roll on next week.
fingers crossed for lots of good news for everyone 🩷

Yes agree! It’s been nearly a year but I’d say only about 8 months actually due to reasons like DP working away and illness.
did a test but it’s stark white, but then only 8dpo so will try and leave it now and see if period arrives

hey girlies BFN 9dpo :( I know it’s still early but I’m feeling a little crampy on and off so I’m not feeling hopeful . Will maybe be joining the December thread 🤣

I hate those stark white tests! It’s still early days so you never know, you may have only implanted yesterday 🤞 x

Sorry for posting again girls, but I can't speak about this in real life. Tiny amount of rust brown spotting on Saturday, small amount of same colour on Sunday, nothing so far today. Could it be implantation? Test on the 15th was negative. Feel like I'm due to start at any moment, but nothing is appearing. Starting to feel optimistic, but also absolutely terrified to be getting my hopes up, so being a bundle of nerves probably isn't helping.

It sounds promising , but our bodies can also be cruel and mess with us 🤣 have you tested again today??

rebecca199 · 18/11/2024 10:18

Why did I do a test at 7dpo 😂
I've been staring at a negative test convincing myself there's a shadow when there definitely isn't haha why do we do it
I'm going to try hold off until 9dpo which is when I got my first positive with my daughter!

Me too, then I convince myself I can see one and it’s obsessive

Well....
I almost always ovulate around CD 18 sometimes as late as 19.... so I don't usually bother testing on OPKs until CD11 or 12 as otherwise it just gets very tedious (I don't get a gradual darkening just a sudden peak normally)...
BUT just tested now (CD14) with smu and this looks like peak??
Can it have moved that much? I don't temp as I have awful insomnia so I can't even confirm ovulation in the bext day or so.
Worried this means we will be out this month as haven't really managed to dtd yet as was waiting to be closer to window of opportunity. Luckily managed to dtd last night and will now be jumping DH later but fear that won't be enough 😕

I've put them outside in the big bin so I can just forget about it for today at least haha

That looks like a good test! I ovulated about 3 days early last cycle, so I think it can happen!
I would DTD today and tomorrow as egg won't release for 24-36 hours and then it's there for up to 24 hours after release so defo time to catch it! X

Hello all
Hope ok to join in on the thread, I’m 38 on cycle 7 TTC, AF is two days late and I’ve done two tests this morning, both negative (one a Boots early results one). I feel like I’ve had symptoms and I’m never late, normal cycle is 24-26 days and I’m cycle day 29 now, I track with Flo and the app is telling me I’m late…
I don't really want to talk to anyone about it IRL but feel a bit confused and lost! Feel like I should have a BFP by now as I’m late?!

Nico89 · 18/11/2024 10:59

@rebecca199 Thank-you.
Hoping so. DS was conceived on a cycle where timing was a bit off and we didnt manage to dtd much. So fingers crossed for this one.
