Joining in! I am currently 8 dpo and trying for our second. I came off of the mirena birth control in February of this year and it took 3 months to even get my cycles back. They are still longer than usual but evening out. We have not been trying but not preventing for about 3 months and I started doing opks 2 months ago. We have a hard time finding ways to be intimate because we are living in a small house with 2 adjoining bedrooms which our 3 year old is in. We decided to actually start trying in October so we got busy in creative ways lol I’m feeling much different than previous months and really hoping this is the month for us. I took a test this morning.. naughty, and I swear I saw a very faint line but I’m probably just crazy. Had bad back cramps yesterday so thought maybe implantation? Fingers crossed for us all!

I’m also 8DPO. I haven’t yet tested.
the last few days I’ve had backache. I sometimes get it before AF though.
going to try to hold off testing for as long as possible.
fingers crossed for you too!

I have a feeling November is going to be a lucky month for TTC! I finally got my BFP! I'm actually in shock tbh. I was on last months October thread ☝🏽 It was my second cycle TTC after having a break following a chemical earlier in the year. I used a fertility cup both cycles & boom 💥 2nd attempt (I'm in my late 30's) I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't used one before. Good luck everyone & thank you all for the moral support 🙏🏽 11 DPO BFP

November thread 🤞🏼🩷

That’s wonderful news @AnonymousSGJB I do remember you from the last thread, so so happy for you and great to hear a success story of late thirties after chemicals. Wishing you all the best vibes for your pregnancy and as you say hopefully you’ve started off the BFPs for us! 🩷🩷🤞🤞
busy couple of days at work and 2dpo here. How’s everyone doing?

This is wonderful news congratulations!
did you have any symptoms?
I’m currently 9DPO and have really low pelvic cramping. I’m 100% aware it could be constipation but I’m just not sure. It’s been there for the last hour.
only time will tell but I can’t help but get my hopes up.

MrsS11 · 07/11/2024 20:01

Congratulations @AnonymousSGJB ! So lovely. More details on the fertility cup please, is it icky or tricky to use?

Emiily887 · 07/11/2024 20:05

CD11 for me, started OPK yesterday - very low reading but to be expected this time in my cycle. Finally coming through the other end of the sickness bug thank goodness so ready to focus on ttc now. Going to aim for every other day + day of peak xx

I had the usual symptoms that can be PMS or early pregnancy but there were a few definitive symptoms that I've only ever had when pregnant: At 6 DPO I started feeling really upset for no reason & couldn't snap out of it, then at 7 DPO my sex drive went through the roof, at 8 DPO, I felt a sharp prickling pain in my lower abdomen slightly to the right. It kept coming & going but only lasted a few seconds each time. It went on for an hour then stopped. At 9 DPO the frequent peeing started by 10 DPO, I was peeing over 20 times a day (I actually counted it was so bad) I also noticed what looked like blood vessels on my left boob so thought I should test! Hope this helps & good luck! It's very hard to spot the difference in symptoms. I was shocked when I got a BFP, it still hasn't sunk in yet.

AnonymousSGJB · 07/11/2024 21:18

Thank you all for the congratulations. I hope this positive start brings luck to everyone else for November! @MrsS11 I actually found the fertility cup quite easy to use. It's advisable to do a couple of practice tries first before using it after doing the DTD. It's not that messy either or uncomfortable, you can barely feel it & it holds everything in. You don't even leak after you remove it as most of the sperm has gone through the cervix. Just make sure you use your pelvic floor muscles when removing it though. I didn't the first time 🤦🏽‍♀️ & it felt very strange & uncomfortable taking it out. It only cost £5 off eBay too. They're are expensive ones but they're practically the same, you're just paying for the brand. The cheap one worked for me 😅

Happy weekend girls, how’s everyone doing?
@Emiily887 Hope opk is progressing and you’ll see a peak soon 🤞
im 4dpo today and because it was early I’m going to have a looong tww. AF not due til Fri 22nd so it’ll be a longer luteul phase. Maybe that’s a good thing though. Get that lining built up. Feeling nothing so far as nothing would have happened yet but trying not to over think every pull/twinge I get!
still trying to keep in that relaxed headspace despite a very stressful work week.
let’s hope November brings us some more bfps! 🙏🙏

Can’t believe you’re already 4dpo, that’s gone so so quick!!
CD13 today, OPK still low but that’s normal for me at this stage of my cycle as always ovulate between cd 16-18 normally.
I’m sure your luteal phase is normally the same length, so if it’s normally 13/14 days it should be the same, so your period may just come earlier (but fingers crossed not at all) because you ovulated earlier. Don’t quote me but I’m 99% sure that’s what gynae told me 🫶🏼
Obviously that wasn’t the case for me last month as my luteal phase was super long but generally speaking in a healthy woman without underlying conditions, it should be the same xxx

Can anyone help with these opks I'm such a newbie to them and I just can't figure them out really wish I hadn't used them but can't stop now as feel I'm just not getting what I thought I would! I have regular 28/29 day cycles!

A lady on another thread said LP almost always the same, it's the follicular phase (before ovulation) that can differ. But Google says it can vary from cycle to cycle so I'm not really sure either.

1st test on CD12 looks strong but not quite a positive. You could keep testing and see if you get a later peak? Incase your body is getting a rise but not ovulating and then trying again later in cycle... OR you could be like me and get a really rapid surge in which case had you tested in the late morning or early afternoon on CD12 you could have got a positive/peak OPK then. (Or even late CD11 and the dark morning test on 12 could be it dropping again??)
It's easy to miss if it's very fast which it can be in some women.

Thanks so much, I think I do get rapid surge as last month I only tested 3 times first one was lightish then day after in afternoon was darker than c line and then day after was light again, didn't get pregnant obviously! So think I did miss it but we dtd cd 10, 12 and 13 and prob again tonight or tomorrow if we r not too tired haha ! I'll keep testing x

Trying not to get too overly excited / attached as I've had a loss before. Got my BFP today on Internet cheapie. 😅

@JoMummyJessica agreed that cd12 looks like it could have been gearing up for or coming down from ovulation. Only way to know is BBT through the month and to keep testing. Some women do get a peak or close to but don’t ovulate and are likely to get a second peak so I’d defo keep testing so you don’t miss anything, but tentatively would be assuming it happened cd12🩷
