Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

I'm 8dpo started bleeding a bit this morning. If it's period starting would mean a 22 day cycle which is very short for me but it's my first cycle back since breastfeeding so maybe they are a bit wonky. Hoping it may be implantation bleeding I had it with my third but very very light and this was heavier this morning

ahh good luck!!!! My cycle was 18 days this month 😞 BUT as said previously i think my body is getting back to my original cycle pattern. Wishing you lots of luck xx

If you’ve got your peak today and it’s a high one then i’d take that as you’ll be ovulating in the next 24-36 hours ☺️ I got a much higher peak this month than last month but I’ve been trying to eat better/taking supplements etc so i’m not too worried.
I seem to get EWCM a couple of days befote I ovulate but not on my peak day - maybe you’re the same?

I know! Ridiculously short.. but if I end up back on my cycle pre-july i’ll feel much better as it was more regulated and I knew exactly where I was with it all! Thank you xx

I only starting taking a new prenatal mid last month, previous months I was just taking folic acid so I suppose that could have made a difference, didn’t really think about that, also I only started ovulation testing last month so who knows this could be normal for me I have just turned 40 after all.

I'm new to all these ovulations strips and apps but I've tested this afternoon after having CM when wiping and it's given me the darkest line I've got so far so could I start to ovulate in the next day or so? I know all the tests are negative but the latest one is the darkest ive had so far. Also maybe a silly question but when I get my peak on the test does that mean il be ovulating within 24hours?

That could have made a difference then maybe ☺️ it is all quite confusing and everyone’s different! I’ve been using the strips for 3 cycles now and each cycle has been different for me too so that doesn’t make it any easier 😅 but hopefully after a few months of doing them you’ll find a pattern in what your body does x

It’s going up which is a good sign ☺️ everyone is different but you might get your peak today/tomorrow/the day after. With me, once the line starts getting darker i’ll usually have a peak in the next 24 hours. Then once you’ve had a peak I think you’re meant to ovulate between 24-36 hours after that. Good luck! 🤞 x

It doesn’t help that with the previous 2 I fell first cycle so all this is new to me 🤣

@Butterflygirl23 id say keep testing here’s mine I was similar level to you on cd12. Ignore where I’ve uploaded the same test twice

Test again later today - at 12:15 on CD14 my number was 0.43, but at 17:46 on the same day I got my peak of 1.62! It just suddenly jumped up within the space of a few hours, but I would have missed it if I hadn’t tested again later in the day.
The previous time I used the ovulation tests I never reached a peak but still got pregnant so I was very surprised this month, especially as I only stopped the pill in September.
I’m now 2DPO with tender boobs, so I know I’ve ovulated. TWW has begun, shall try not to symptom spot 😬

How crazy I've just had some new ones delivered as I had bad reviews on the cheap ones i was using and this came up straight away? We DTD last night
So do I have to wait for one to say peak then that means I'm going to ovulate?

@Row23 It says 1.1 now it's abit more dry. Il take another one tonight and see what it says

Jumping in with my results. I didn’t seem to get any high or oral readings but it went up sharply and then has dropped sharply again! 🤷🏼‍♀️

This month my tests went from 0.28 to 1.32 from 4pm cd12 to 12pm cd13 which has definitely been the quickest for me so far.

Wow you were lucky with the first two! How long have you been TTC this time? It’s all new to me too I’ve never TTC before and didn’t know half of these things existed before 😅 I was very naive and just thought it would happen straight away!

You still got a peak which is a good sign, not everyone gets a peak at 1 so that might have been yours… or your body might try to ovulate again later in the cycle. Last month I thought I had my peak at 0.90 as it dropped back down, and then two days later it went up to 1.3 which hadn’t happened before! So try to keep testing x

As others said they do say to keep on testing after your peak to make sure it doesn’t peak again, which can happen if you failed to ovulate the first time your body can sometimes have another go

I'm 10 days PO and just ordered some tests but thinking it will be negative tbh. 0 symptoms apart from insane nausea and dry heaving but I'm putting that down to new job anxiety
