Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

I'm 10 days PO and just ordered some tests but thinking it will be negative tbh. 0 symptoms apart from insane nausea and dry heaving but I'm putting that down to new job anxiety

I had 0 symptoms with my first 2 until I hit 6 weeks so don’t let that worry you, I also didn’t get bfp until after my missed period I never got early lines so don’t stress

This is cycle 4, I know I was super lucky with the first 2

Let’s hope cycle 4 is lucky for both of us 🤞

I think I am 1dpo today. AF due on the 13th Nov. Looks like there are a few of us at the beginning of the TWW, best of luck (and sanity) to @Shellbells44 @Kateb149 @MyGardenDaisies @Row23 !

@Pipersgirl ah I'm so sorry for your losses. Taking a break when you need to is really healthy. What CD do you usually ovulate?

@MrsSMxx Full flow is first day of period. Spotting could be a sign of low progesterone I think - but not something I have ever experienced.

@BrightLilacCat best of luck great that your LH is rising. I have only had a score over 1 once and I def ovulate, so don't worry too much.

@JW24M so sorry to see that AF has arrived. As you say hopefully this is your cycle regulating itself.

@Sugarcube84 watery discharge usually comes before EWCM so you might have some later today/tomorrow.

Best of luck to everybody 💫

Marking today as cd1 on premon app as bleeding has picked up. Never have cycles this short 21 days but must be hormones regulating. App is predicting ovulation second week November and possibly testing by the end.

We have also been lucky that apart from my first pregnancy (missed miscarriage) where I was coming off birth control took about 6 months our three boys were all first month trying. Fingers crossed for the next cycle and baby dust to everyone waiting for this month still

BrightLilacCat · 31/10/2024 22:20

Kateb149 · 31/10/2024 15:26

You still got a peak which is a good sign, not everyone gets a peak at 1 so that might have been yours… or your body might try to ovulate again later in the cycle. Last month I thought I had my peak at 0.90 as it dropped back down, and then two days later it went up to 1.3 which hadn’t happened before! So try to keep testing x

Thank you @Kateb149. I think that’s what has confused me because I was expecting it to go higher but it just started dropping. I’m wondering if I got my peak overnight between CD15 and CD16. I got a 0.05 today (CD17) but I’m going to keep testing for a bit longer just to make sure it doesn’t go up again.

That’s true, it could have peaked overnight especially if you have fast peaks/drops. Let us know how you get on with the tests over the next few days x

Butterflygirl23 · 01/11/2024 06:47

Can anyone explain I'm confused. Isn't Todays test higher than yesterday's peak? Does it mean il ovulate today as I got my peak yesterday afternoon?

Butterflygirl23 · 01/11/2024 06:52

I just realised peak has gone off yesterday's one. So I guess I have to wait to get peak again

Sunflowersandmoons · 01/11/2024 07:08

@Butterflygirl23 if todays is higher then today is your peak 😊 it will
change when it thinks you have peaked but then you get a higher reading! You’ll likely ovulate in the next 24 hours or so, good luck!

MyGardenDaisies · 01/11/2024 07:11

Morning! We are actually in November now ! How exciting 🤞

question - which day do you count as 1DPO? Is it the day after peak or 2 days after peak?

(trying to count how long my luteal phase is)

Thank you for replying
I've just taken another and the T line is stronger than the C line so i definitely think today is the day 🤞🏼

Edited

Morning I've been googling the same question this morning lol
From what I've gathered it's 24-36 hours after you ovulate you class 1dpo but don't quote me. I'm sure someone else can answer too
Good luck

LolaJ87 · 01/11/2024 09:17

On the cycle tracking thing - I count the day I start spotting as the first day of my cycle. I do this on the advice of a obs & gynae I saw for something. I usually spot for 2 days before my period gets heavy but she said that it would be classed as starting a period with a very light flow. She said it would only be considered spotting rather than period if it happened at another time of the month.

I was very worried when TTC my son as I had also read it indicates low progesterone, and I have shortish cycles and it looks like a short-ish luteal phase, but I didn't have any difficulty conceiving. Worried it'll be different this time of course!

QuirkyPiglet · 01/11/2024 11:48

so it’s only “spotting” if it’s at a different time if the month , that’s so interesting @LolaJ87 I will file that info away in my brain as actual medical info 😂

hope everyone is having a good day 😊

JoMummyJessica · 01/11/2024 14:55

Cd 7 for me, going to start my opks in next couple of days! Normally get peak around cd 12/13 so hoping it's same this cycle! Normally 28/29 day cycle! Baby dust to us all trying for bfp this month

Kateb149 · 01/11/2024 14:56

@QuirkyPiglet I think I have enough info from mumsnet, google etc to convince myself I’m a medical professional these days 😂

Hope you’re having a good day? I’m 5DPO today, absolutely zero symptoms which is helping with the symptom spotting as I usually have some sort of aches and pains by now 😅

Moomoo20 · 01/11/2024 15:45

Hi ladies, thanks for creating the thread. We have been TTC for 10 months but inbetween I had a miscarriage. This is my first cycle trying after my miscarriage. I Had my fertile week this week. I got a positive opk on Tuesday and we managed to have sex two days before ovulation and a day after so hoping that's enough. Feeling so nervous about trying/getting pregnant after my recent miscarriage I was 11 weeks pregnant when I miscarried x

Sorry for your loss. It definitely makes the TTC process a bit more scary doesn’t it.
I had a miscarriage earlier this year and we only felt ready to try again recently. I had my peak on Tuesday so sounds like we’re at the same point in our cycles.
Wishing you lots of luck for this month 🤞

Hi 👋
C#1, TTC #3.
Currently CD28, 9dpo
With my previous pregnancies I experienced a short luteal phase (11 days) and a couple of chemical whilst TTC., so according to flo app AF due in 3days.
I'm currently feeling absolutely exhausted 😩, tender boobs (specifically nips), and some cramping. I'm trying not to get my hopes up at all since its only out first proper cycle since coming off BC, but very similar symptoms to my previous lucky cycles.
It took a lot of conversations and decision making to get to this point so I'm very anxious about it all.

LifeonMarss · 01/11/2024 16:45

I know it’s faint but is this my positive? I’m shaking and have convinced myself its not real and I’ve accidentally bought ovulation tests instead of pregnancy tests (I’m so anxious so this sounds so ludicrous sorry)
