Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

Re frequency of DTD. We’ve only done once or twice per fertile window just because how things have worked out, convincing myself it doesn’t count as possible infertility if we haven’t tried every day or every other day. It’s tough when you’ve got other things going on - trying to tackle the other barriers like stress which make it harder!

@1woodpecker There are many different opinions on this. Everyone's different but I would really struggle to DTD every day in the fertile window. We've always aimed for every other day, apparently this gives sperm a bit more time to regenerate as well.

no chance with a 14 and 4 year old around 🤣

@Sugarcube84 ah sorry! I did say earlier in the week that I have no idea how people TTC with kids?!

Hey guys! Was in last months thread.
I am 4DPO and had the most awful side/pelvic cramps earlier. Felt like awful ovulation pain! I don’t normally have that after ovulation!

Welcome ☺️ I’m 3DPO today so we can try and get through the TWW together 😅
hope your cramps get better soon! Weirdly I had a similar thing yesterday… really bad back ache as if I was coming on, but never had it after ovulation in previous cycles. Very confusing!

Hi everyone!
Im moving across from the Oct thread- this is cycle 9 for us trying to conceive number 2. I have had 2 back to back chemicals, in Oct my period ended up being 7 days late with positive pregnancy tests so unsure where I am in my cycle now- whether the delayed period/early MC was my period, or whether I’m still working a week ahead!
We are taking this month off to recoup as it’s been a tough couple of months, but ended up having a slip up on CD11, which I’m actually really frustrated about as I’m yet again in limbo when I was looking forward to some time ‘off’ of thinking about TTC.
Sending lots of love and baby dust to everyone trying this month, and patience to those already in the TWW!

I’m letting myself have hope that this is our month. Managed 4 days in a row and using Preseed, I even laid with legs up the wall lol

My period is expected on 12th of November, luckily I’ve planned lots of stuff to distract myself and reduce stress.

Evening ladies, can I ask. I spot for 2 days pre period kicking into full flow. In your personal opinion does your period start at first sign or when flow kicks in. Like I only got cramps etc today but spotting since Mon?

Last month I don't think ovulation was great or on track. EWCM was very minimal so hopefully a good period and a decent ovulation may help!

Thank you. I may try that once I see what my cycle is doing this month. Just got folic acid to take alongside vitamins for now xx

Hi everyone! I’m new around here and it’s lovely to join you all on this thread.

A little about us: I’m 38, DH 42 and trying for baby number 1. I came off the pill in September, had my withdrawal bleed and currently on cycle number 1. Holding out zero hope this month due to my age, endometriosis and stopping the pill so recently. I got a low peak (0.68) on Premom 2 days ago that came rapidly from 0.13 and went back down to 0.22 yesterday so I’m thinking I perhaps ovulated yesterday.

Welcome @BrightLilacCat maybe it will take a few months but I have high hopes for you! Sending baby dust! I’m 35 and 9 months and my partner is 43, we’re trying for our first too xx

@MrsSMxx I don’t know what the scientific answer is, but I consider when period actually gets going to be day 1

@MyGardenDaisies I always lie with my legs up too 😂 I don’t really know if it’s supposed to be with your lower back pressed to the floor or as if your doing some sort of shoulder stand and your bum in the air too 😂

I count day 1 as first day of proper flow/when I need to use a tampon - I also usually have a couple of days of spotting

Worth keeping testing in case! I tend to test LH twice a day (sometimes more - when I first started testing LH even more I think as was trying to gauge how quickly it changed) so you don’t miss it ☺️ i always seem to ovulate the day after LH peak but it can vary xx

@QuirkyPiglet haha I just put a pillow under my bum and that’s it. I did it when I got pregnant with my first, so who knows 😄even if there’s no scientific evidence, good old gravity maybe ? 😅

@1woodpecker Thank you. I’m going to keep testing a couple of times a day for a few more days just to see what happens. I tested 4 times yesterday (😳) and it consistently dropped each time from 0.52 to 0.22 whereas it rose during the day on Tuesday. Having never tested before this is all very new to me!

I’m officially out with AF arriving today, but holding onto hope my cycle returns to my old cycle now & should be expecting Ovulation around the 18th! Will loop back around then but good luck everyone - sending you all lots of baby dust & positive wishes! xx

i’m 4DPO today so i’ve got a while to go yet 😅 i’m trying not to symptom spot this month but we’ll see how that goes next week after implantation should have happened!

I also stick my legs in the air afterwards 😅 my DH thinks i’m mad but i’m sure it keeps it all in there a bit longer 😂

Oh no so sorry to hear 😕 you are right though, hopefully it means your cycles are getting back to normal and you’ll be able to predict your fertile window a bit better next month ❤️ xx

Had some more ovulation tests delivered today and I took one straight away 😂and looks like I’ve got my peak it’s cd14 so a day later than last month and it’s higher than last months as well, any ideas if that’s good? Last month on Premom it was 1.16 this month 1.72. Also my discharge (sorry TMI) is very watery and loads of it but no EWCM any ideas if this is good or bad?
