Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

@MyGardenDaisies I forgot about the vivid dreams!!! Gah - how many DPO are you now? Do you think you will give in and test early? I think having the hope and anticipation of bad news is all normal and natural! Hang on in there!!!

@CoolSummer89 also meant to thank you for explaining chemical pregnancy - really helpful xxxx

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 13:18

@Wondergirl1111 thank you lovely x
I am 6, maybe 7DPO (testing with digital).

Since I have tests left from last month I might but I’m hoping not to, as I had bad experiences the first 2 cycles with seeing shadows/indents/faint lines and then having that rollercoaster of excitement and upset and worry about chemical etc

I rather not have that and just have a definitive answer.

Jologi · 06/11/2024 13:42

Hi,

Has anyone's BBT dipped? 5DPO and my BBT dropped by 1degree but has gone back up today. I've read somewhere it could be linked to either implantation or estragon. Anyone had the same?

HNM · 06/11/2024 16:15

Joining this thread because why not! I had a very odd October... I should have updated the October thread but never got round to it but cut a long story short I thought I was ovulating late/again because my ovulation sticks all of a sudden went very dark. I then missed my period and had two positive pregnancy tests! Unfortunately then started spotting and then heavy bleeding with odd symptoms so I was referred to the EPU. Early miscarriage confirmed. I had a few days of not feeling myself but onto the next cycle. I'm going to read every page of this thread, sending baby dust to all of you Xx

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 16:49

@HNM I am sorry 😔 are you going to try again straight away?

So sorry to hear this 💔 I remember you on the Oct thread and wondered what had happened. Hope you’re feeling more yourself, take your time and take care of yourself xx

HNM · 06/11/2024 22:37

@MyGardenDaisies Yes we are going to try again straight away. I'm definitely nervous because being in and out of the hospital has reminded me of how tough pregnancy is. We're trying to keep positive and I'm doing my best to eat well and look after myself.

@Kateb149 When I had the strong ovulation tests I just had this feeling that I was pregnant but didn't want to get my hopes up. Then as time went on I had some symptoms that made me think yep I'm pregnant. I waited to miss my period before doing another test as I wanted an accurate reading instead of looking at faint lines (I did an early first response and was convinced there was a line, which there was!). I was so disappointed when I started spotting Xx.

I'm so sorry to hear this I'm currently going through the same thing. I'm technically 7w3d. Had a scan at epu because I started bleeding at 5 weeks and again at 7w but has been pink spotting. The scan came back inconclusive because they could see something but not sure if it's I'm earlier than i thought or I am having a miscarriage. Had my bloods done last night after the scan to check my levels and again Friday to compare but I know what the results will be 😞

You must of had such a rollercoaster of emotions, I can’t imagine how you must have felt when the spotting started. Well you have all of our support so if you want to rant or just think out loud we are here to listen x

MyGardenDaisies · 07/11/2024 09:01

How’s everyone getting on? Anyone testing already? X

I am 7 or 8 DPO.
Getting a bit in my head about it, but realistically it’s only 3rd cycle so I shouldn’t be at all

MyGardenDaisies · 07/11/2024 09:17

7DPO and guess who tested ? 😂 of course it’s stark white, it’s so early and might not have even implanted yet for any hormones to rise, but I had that urge to POAS. 🫣😂

JoMummyJessica · 07/11/2024 09:21

I'm on cd12 and my opks are all over place, not getting darker! Still dtd when we can so hoping I'm just testing at wrong time!

Haha! You know what I love this. Get a test out of your system while you know it's too early to definitely be out if it is a BFN!
It's way too early to be out lovely - I'm still positive for you! How are you feeling?

5DPO today and I'm not really having any symptoms... Tightness in tummy? Probably all in my head.

TWW is like counting down to Xmas but not sure whether you'll wake up on Christmas day... or the 1st January with a hangover and straight back to work on a rainy Monday. 😆

wouldlovearoast · 07/11/2024 10:06

Hello please can I join? I am on 7dpo-9dpo as my two apps so different things. We're on Cycle 3 of TTC, had 2 losses last year so had a break from TTC. I was tracking BBT and ovulation for the first 2 cycles but I found it too stressful and just felt like it added another layer of pressure - but maybe we should track ? Whats everyones opinions on this?
I am a bugger for testing early, - due period in 6 days....

LolaJ87 · 07/11/2024 10:36

@wouldlovearoast welcome and I am very sorry for your losses 💙

I think tracking comes down to the person. I have never used ovulation strips before this cycle and I really regret it, as I am neurotic type who is now testing several times a day and freaking out over my tests not getting darker! If this sounds like you too, avoid.

rebecca199 · 07/11/2024 10:45

I think last cycles peak at CD 11 was a one off as CD 11 today and my LH test is LIGHT!

I'm trying to think really positive this month, my nan sadly passed away last week and I just have a feeling she's going to send us our rainbow this cycle ❤️

Clara202 · 07/11/2024 10:47

9dpo. AF arrived 10dpo last cycle. If it doesn’t arrive before tomorrow I’ll test in the morning.

MyGardenDaisies · 07/11/2024 10:49

@Wondergirl1111 haha love that comparison!
it’s so true, it’s the one thing in life where effort doesn’t always equal result, which is frustrating.

I am feeling well, it’s CD25 and I’m happy I’ve not had any cramps or pulling feeling as last month I had that for multiple days, and then got a very short cycle of 26 days only.

Mentally too not bothered too much yet as it’s still just 7DPO.

Confusedmermaid1 · 07/11/2024 10:56

@wouldlovearoast also experienced losses and have gone back and forth with the idea of not testing because I also tend to obsess and it’s an added stress but ultimately I have decided to continue Opks.

In a way I’m glad because I ovulated 3 days later than predicted this month, so in theory my period will be later than expected if it comes but I’ll know not to get my hopes up too much beforehand. I’m still not sure I’ve made the right decision to keep testing but this is where we are for now 😅 I’m a planner so I like to have the information but it’s mentally draining at times.

HNM · 07/11/2024 11:57

@Butterflygirl23 Gosh it's so stressful isn't it. Please let us know your results. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you but I know how you're feeling and it's just horrible and so draining Xx

wouldlovearoast · 07/11/2024 12:02

Perfect example of how much I am a maniac about testing - I decided to randomly do one whilst I was pottering around the house. I know I know 😫

iIs this an evap line? I think it is as I'm only 7-9dpo so I can't see how it would show up so early, plus I did another 2 and there isn't anything on them?

Nov 2024 TTC 💖
LolaJ87 · 07/11/2024 12:09

@wouldlovearoast it looks like an evap line or like the test flooded as it is uneven... but I can see a faint shadow on the other 2 tests as well.

CoolSummer89 · 07/11/2024 12:12

Ah losing my mind today. I am 8dpo and my boobs feel like AF is coming. Some pulling in my groin area. And also had a stuffy nose, which I have heard other people say is a symptom. But then again… it’s winter so colds are about!

It is rare for me to have sore boobs at this time but did have it in July, so not completely out of character. The next few days are gonna be torture I can just tell. Someone pop me in a coma for a few days.

LolaJ87 · 07/11/2024 12:19

@CoolSummer89 when do you usually test? Have you anything good to distract yourself with in the meantime?

I've only just started TTC and I can feel it creeping into my mind all the time so I imagine it must be very tough when you've been doing this a while. Hope the sore boobs etc. are implantation signs x

CoolSummer89 · 07/11/2024 12:28

@LolaJ87 This month I really wanna wait till my missed period. Have no sensitive tests this month, have a few normal sensitivity ones from the hospital.

I think your tests look very promising but yea you can't take broken lines like the one of the top as a given, but actually I can see some shadows on the lower ones. Def test again in the morning!
