Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

I'm about a day behind you and I feel like AF is coming for sure now also 😔, cramps, bloating and just general cranky! Fingers crossed it's just our bodies playing tricks on us.

Oh no sounds like we are in the same boat 😕 it’s so hard to stay positive when you get typical PMS symptoms isn’t it! Everyone says don’t rule anything out until AF comes so hopefully our bodies are just playing tricks like you said 🤞

Hey! I’m 6/7 DPO, period due on Tuesday, so will test in exactly 1 week if it’s missing. 🤞

Good luck! ☺️ hopefully it’s good news for you next week x

I’m on CD5/6, and feeling good. I’ve been busy, done more exercise and meditated every day, which has helped to keep calm.

Tomorrow will be CD6/7, so I will likely start symptom spotting implantation haha I know I will, but still feeling confident on not testing until missed period.

Did you mean to say 6/7 DPO? Cycle day 6/7 seems much too early for symptom spotting for implantation?

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 09:02

Yes DPO! Woops haha

Triangleflower · 06/11/2024 10:03

Hi, I posted earlier in the month but then have been trying not to think about the TWW! I was going to wait until period due date to test (Saturday) but I caved and tested today at 11DPO.

I took a cheapie premom which I thought I could see a shadow on, and then two early response ones. I’ve attached the early response and I can see a very faint line on both….. what do you think?

also if it is positive I’m trying to be realistic in that apparently up to 50% of very early pregnancies end in chemicals so I’m not sure how much to get my hopes up!

@Triangleflower I can see it! So exciting. I'd find it very hard not to get my hopes up after seeing that - congratulations!

I’m 10DPO today! I had absolutely zero symptoms until yesterday - I became so so bloated overnight and this morning the sore boobs have kicked in. I think I’m out this month - took a Clearblue early test first thing this morning and got a BFN. AF is due Saturday so we will wait and see! Sounds like everyone in the TWW is staying nice and relaxed x

With my other 2 I only ever got a positive test after my missed period so you’re not out til AF shows.

Im trying to stay chilled my first 2 were conceived first cycle, so each month I’ve been stressed and disappointed. I’ve now realised it’s no good just to do all we can keep relaxed make small sustainable changes to diet etc and keep living as normal instead of limbo. Still not bought new winter clothes yet though just in case 🤣

Alsi trying not to focus and panic about my age, turned 40 in sept, I conceived no problem at 35 and my mum had my sister at 41 so keeping positive

Sugarcube84 · 06/11/2024 10:13

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 10:15

@Triangleflower I see it! At 11DPO I presume you are about 3weeks + 4 days pregnant. The chances of not miscarrying is 72%, so I would try to enjoy and remain positive. Congratulations! 🥳

CoolSummer89 · 06/11/2024 10:18

@Nico89 sorry to hear you are out, but always good to focus on the positives. I quite like the beginning of a cycle, you can put all your worries behind you and look to the future :)

@Moomoo20 it's such an anxious time, especially with a recent loss. Try to stay strong, but we all falter especially at this time and it's OK 💪

@LolaJ87 Do you have pics of your tests, it's not uncommon for tests to be low at CD 11. But sometimes they can be low due to bad lighting or there still being a bit of pink dye in the background.

@Liyoness when do you think you ovulated? Just trying to work out what bleeding at CD19 could signify. Was it a lot of blood?

@sellingupslow wow that is a big RHR rise. When are you planning to test? Oh just saw your OPK as I'm going through the posts. Take an HCG test!

@Triangleflower congrats! That looks like the start of something very promising :)

@CoolSummer89 I’m wondering if I should try another brand of test as tbh these are getting me a bit worried.

I am 7dpo. Been feeling mostly fine physically, however this year hasn't been the happiest news wise. I mean for the world, not for me personally.

The news this morning has made me feel very anxious about the next few years. I am generally respectful of people's political views, my grandmother was American, a registered Republican and one the most intelligent, witty and kind women I have ever known. (She had her kids aged 39 and 41 in the 1950s btw - just in case people are worried about their ages!). But to see the world so divided and politicians stoking up this divisions for their own gain has made me very fearful.

Sorry to bring politics into this group as it's not about this at all. But 7dpo is hard enough as it is and it's hard to remain positive!

Oh yea, I see what you mean. These are very light! I used to use easy @ home and would usually get at lease an 0.1 score.

Are These boots tests? If so I’ve seen people say they aren’t very good and recommended the easy at home ones which I use and had no problems with

Period due on sun. Think im about 9dpo. No real symptoms outwith my normal pre mentural signs (cramping an nausea). Today i did have a sharp stabbing pain on the left side if my stomach that took my breath away. Only last a few seconds tho. Hard to stay positive tho when 11 months down the line with no bfp. Toom a truo to holland and barret this morning and pixked myself up some vitamin e. Hard its good for thickening uterine lining? Thought i would try it as periods have been a lot lighter this year since stopoing the pill and only lasting 3 days max.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! when I feel pregnant in July I had the exact same thing about 10 doo. I was lying in my bed and I jumped up and shouted 'ow' because the sharp pain in my left side was so strong. I did fall pregnant that month so I think it was implantation. Unfortunately, that pregnancy did end in miscarriage, but I think that sharp pain around that time can be a good indication of implantation.

Thank you, that’s what i’m thinking and trying to stay positive 🤞 did you have any idea you were pregnant before your missed period?

It’s so hard isn’t it! I conceived previously by accident so just assumed it would happen quickly for me but we’re on cycle 4 now. I haven’t bought any new clothes either unless I know they will stretch 😅

My mum had me at 36 and my sisters both had children late 30s too, I think it’s more and more common - but it is easy to panic when you read things but try not to focus on that, only you know your body x

@CoolSummer89 @Sugarcube84 Thanks for the feedback! They're One Step tests, for some reason the Easy at Home ones aren't available in Ireland at the moment. I did read some reviews of them this morning that said they're useless if you drink a lot of water, which I do. I might pick up another brand, it's just added stress and I've found myself going "what if I am not ovulating and I never even know??".

Wondergirl1111 · 06/11/2024 11:52

4dpo today - I'm on holiday and you'd think the days would fly by and I would be distracted but I can't believe how slowly this tww is going!

Any updates anyone?

I know we are all symptom spotting but I thought it might be fun for those who have had BFP before to share their actual previous symptoms rather than the ones we read on Google lol! I always go to Mumsnet for real life experiences so might be helpful!

My symptoms are so funny looking back - I had no implantation symptoms, but suddenly I went absolutely mad, like a TERRIBLE PMS, inconsolable, crying etc. next day I absolutely stank - like nothing I've ever smelt before - like gorilla pits lol! And I thought wait a minute..... Bought a test and did it the next morning which I think was 11DPO. Faint line!

Everything settled down after that but that initial surge of hormones was rather impactful!

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 12:11

@Wondergirl1111 I wrote a pregnancy diary with my DC:
3weeks 4 days : cramping, sore nipples , headache
3 weeks 5 days : Symptoms - vivid dreams, frequent peeing, mouth watering, bigger feeling boobs and sensitive nipples, stuffy nose, feeling tired, cramping, and a bit of milky white discharge, lower back pain. Crawing strawberries. haha

3 weeks 6 days: bigger boobs, bloating continues, sleepy, thirsty, stuffy nose.

4 weeks: vivid dreams, night sweats, cramping, white discharge

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 12:31

So much for my cool calm composed 😄 mindse…seeing people testing already has made me very hopefully excited and also a bit sad already in case it’s again not our month.. 🥺

With my first my super early symptoms were very very sore boobs, little bumps around my nipples and I really liked the smell of onions cooking 🤷🏻‍♀️ My husband was convinced from all of this that I was pregnant but I truly didn’t believe it until I got a BFP about a week or so later.
Didn’t have any other symptoms until 6 weeks when the nausea suddenly kicked in!
