Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

I'm 6po today and nearly lost my sanity and tested haha but I refrained. I'm not wasting tests. After 10 months of TTC and a miscarriage in between I know not to get my hopes up :( . When I fell pregnant in July before I miscarried, I got my positive at 14 DP DPO.

2nd cycle ttc since a loss in August. Ttc baby no.3. Im 34. Been having ewcm since cd8 on and off so I started the opks and didnt get any peak by cd14 which is when I usually ovulate. I stopped then for a day or two thinking I wasnt going to ovulate this cycle. Yesterday got strong ovulation pains so bought more opks, dtd last night and this morning got my peak on the opk at cd19 So happy Im still in with a chance for November.

I officially hate ovulation tests. I had one this morning that was a 0. I re-tested and it registered at 0.05 - CD 11.

All my tests have had very low readings, does anyone else have experience with this? I kind of wish I hadn’t started testing.

MyGardenDaisies · 05/11/2024 10:47

I’m sorry @Nico89 ! But you seem you have a good attitude. How did you lengthen your LP? I have been trying too with supplements.

My cycle was weird for me this time as well, usually I’m starting to rise by CD11 with Ovu CD12-13 but this month I was 0.08 on CD11 and didn’t start to rise above 0.2 until yesterday morning CD15 which was 0.51 with a peak last night 0.92 which is about the same levels as before
I was sure I wasn’t going to ovulate this month because my LHs were so low so I’m glad I kept testing but I was also feeling defeated my all the low results

iamaworrier · 05/11/2024 11:16

Does anyone know how I can overcome thin uterine lining? I think this is preventing implantation...feel so lost 😢

Lemonyfire · 05/11/2024 11:53

@iamaworrier how long have you been trying and are you under a consultant? I would ask the person that diagnosed the thin uterine lining about treatment and a plan.

Progesterone is given to support thick womb lining, I was given it after my second miscarriage and will be given it again if I fall pregnant. I have no idea if my womb lining is thin but it works to thicken it to make it more habitable I think.
It needs to be prescribed though so usually an IVF clinic/ EPU/ consultant

Thank you so much - that’s really helpful and so reassuring. Really appreciate your reply, it’s stopped me getting into my own head too much x

Well it's only the 5th and I'm officially out this month. AF arrived this morning.

Onwards to this next cycle.
Positives to take from this one...

  1. I'm no longer in limbo, hopefully now shes here I will start to feel a bit better and get all the PMS out the way.
  2. I've learnt not to get into my own head (she says)
  3. it's possible that my LP has stuck at the 12d I managed to lengthen it to when I was TTC #2 in 2021/2022 (meaning that while I was convinced AF was late, actually she was bang on time as always 😆 )

Also means I can enjoy my friends birthday bash this weekend with a few drinks and not have to worry about making excuses.

I'll be quietly lurking around, but I don't tend to Ovulate until around CD18/19 so won't be much to report here for a while and my testing won't be until Dec.

Good luck ladies.
Onwards and upwards x

I won’t be far behind you my lovely! Good on you for looking at the positives! Xxx

I’m sorry @Nico89 ! But you seem you have a good attitude. How did you lengthen your LP? I have been trying too with supplements.

Trying to eat more healthily and look after myself as well as taking vitamin supplements. I can't remember exactly which ones or doses etc but I was taking Vitamin D (which I have to take daily at a higher dose anyway due to a medical issue) a B vitamin complex and vitamin C. (Alongside the obligatory folic acid)

I also dont seem to get much EWCM so i was taking evening primrose oil from CD 1 until ovulation then stopping, I'm not sure there is much evidence for this but it did seem to help with some of my PMS symptoms too which stopped so much symtpom spotting and made me feel less of a hormonal wreck! And I conceived DS on 4th cycle of trying so something worked :)

Readysetgooo · 05/11/2024 15:49

When we decided to TTC #2 I thought to myself how I'd be more relaxed this time round but I'm finding myself getting drawn in and excited to do OPKs all the time. When I conceived our son, I got a peak OPK at CD11 so expected the same to happen this time but now it's CD13 and OPKs are still returning low results. I know the LH surge can happen really quickly and it's still early in the cycle so I'm not worried yet but I'm finding myself wishing the days away to test again tomorrow! Last time I used the clear blue digital fertility monitor which gives you six fertile days and you only test first thing in the morning so I felt a bit more in control but I don't have it this time so feel a little in the dark waiting for the easy at homes to show a positive. It occurs to me that I drink quite a bit when working at my desk and I've been in the gym in the afternoon drinking loads of water so I'm probably diluting the test too much 😩 has anyone had that and missed a peak as a result?

I had the same last month and didn’t ovulate until really late! I got myself in such a panic about it my DH bought me the clearblue OPKs as he thought there was something wrong with my cheap ones 😅 so please don’t worry some months are just a bit weird!

Liyoness · 05/11/2024 17:27

Hello,

So I have gone down the rabbit hole of Mumset and even posted my own Thread out of curiosity/anxiety. I got a 50/50 response on the possibilities . (early AF & implantation bleeding )

On CD19, I started bleeding for 2days and I had resigned myself that it was AF, since coming off BC, my cycle has gone from 28days to 23/24, meaning my AF would have been due on the 8th of November and not on the 31st of October.

It’s never been so short, I panicked and reported it to my GP, but they can’t see me until the 25th, which if I’m in a new cycle would be CD25.

I have been dreaming like many of you for a BFP and I am genuinely afraid to test incase I am actually in a new cycle .

Given the above, am I crazy for not testing and just running out the clock until my would be next AF? (I eat super healthy, no drinking alcohol and on a prenatal)

I am not under a consultant no.

I went for a fertility assessment in the Uk and the lady said 'well you already have two children' and dismissed my worries really.

Going through GP will take forever, I will however ask them to check hormones.

I have been ttc for 6 months, last two children conceived fairly quickly, periods have always been fine but for some reason seem lighter after I had copper coil removed...not sure if that's the reason why..

Lemonyfire · 05/11/2024 20:06

@iamaworrier I'm not sure what a fertility assessment is but assume it was a doctor privately? I would think you could reach out to them again for more information definitely!

I'm 36 and conceived my first two children and first miscarriage easily, however have been ttc for the last 2.5 years ( took 18m to get pregnant then lost in January this year, then another three months and lost in August) and consultant said nothing is 'wrong' but age just makes it all a bit harder and can take a bit longer.

Good luck

I did ask her for more help but she said to go to my GP and get refered to a gynaecologist which I know will take a long time via the NHS.

A fertility assessment is a private scan and blood test. Everything is fine minus my lining which will make implantation difficult. I have just turned 37 so not sure if it's just age too!

Are you ttc for your third? Lots and lots of best wishes!!

Just checking in , I’m 4dpo, how is everyone in the TWW getting on?

MyGardenDaisies · 05/11/2024 22:00

I’m on CD5/6, and feeling good. I’ve been busy, done more exercise and meditated every day, which has helped to keep calm.

Tomorrow will be CD6/7, so I will likely start symptom spotting implantation haha I know I will, but still feeling confident on not testing until missed period.

HollyGolightly4 · 05/11/2024 22:15

Does anyone experience spotting? I think I'm 2dpo xx

I’ve been keeping busy too, I’ve been putting house stuff off so I’ve got things to occupy me over the next week

Row23 · 06/11/2024 06:12

I’m 8DPO and got a BFN this morning which is not a surprise!
I’m nervous either way though. With my first pregnancy I had clear implantation pains but with my second I didn’t have implantation and that sadly ended in miscarriage. I’ve not had any implantation pains yet this month so I’m almost scared that if I do get a positive then it’ll end the same as last time.
TTC does mess with your brain doesn’t it!

sellingupslow · 06/11/2024 06:44

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join!

I'm ttc baby no2- 3rd cycle. It took us 9 months with baby 1!

I'm 11dpo today and my resting heart rate has been quite a bit higher this cycle after ovulation and today it's really spiked!

I’m 10DPO today! I had absolutely zero symptoms until yesterday - I became so so bloated overnight and this morning the sore boobs have kicked in. I think I’m out this month - took a Clearblue early test first thing this morning and got a BFN. AF is due Saturday so we will wait and see! Sounds like everyone in the TWW is staying nice and relaxed x

MyGardenDaisies · 06/11/2024 07:38

Hey! I’m 6/7 DPO, period due on Tuesday, so will test in exactly 1 week if it’s missing. 🤞

I'm about a day behind you and I feel like AF is coming for sure now also 😔, cramps, bloating and just general cranky! Fingers crossed it's just our bodies playing tricks on us.
