My first ever two week wait! Day one post ovulation, if I’ve done the maths correctly! Anyone else?

Im also day 1 😊 I used ovulation strips for the first time so I think I ovulated yesterday (Saturday) Ttc baby no.3. First two babies were 1st try. I had a miscarriage in August. Hoping this is a good month. Nice to keep eachother company on this thread for the 2 week wait 😊

I used the Clearblue digital, and I had a smiley on Friday and yesterday so I’m assuming ovulation was yesterday or today! I’m 38 and ttc #1 so I’m prepared for an uphill battle but who knows, I might get lucky!

@Clara202 Our days are the same so. We managed to dtd Wednesday, Friday and this morning just incase. Wish we got Thursday in but we didnt get a chance with work and kids etc. Hoping we will be covered with those days

Marie1990x · 06/10/2024 12:55

Hey ladies can I join you? 2dpo for me. Been ttc #2 for over 18 months. Recently been diagnosed with PCOS and I had an ultrasound last week where it showed a dominant follicle. A few days later got my peak, so hoping I actually ovulated this cycle!

Fingers crossed for everyone 🤞🏻✨

We dtd Tues, Fri and Sat. Wasn’t expecting the static smiley on Fri, I was waiting on the flashing smiley as a warning as it were but it never came. My body was telling me it was close but I was too busy looking at the OPKs waiting for the sign! It’s a shame we didn’t get to do it Thursday as well but whatever will be, will be now at this stage!

Good luck! 🤞 I'm 38 too, I did conceive last year after 7 months trying but unfortunately lost her at 19 weeks 😢 it was an awful time but we've been trying again since January, I had a chemical last month which also hit me very hard. I think I just ovulated yesterday or today ( tests were positive Friday and yesterday) so I think I'm also day 1 of the tww!! 🤞 For 3rd time lucky!! 🤞🤞🤞

ThatSnugSwan · 06/10/2024 16:32

@Pennyroses Sorry for your loss 🤍 Fingers crossed for us all this month 🤞
I feel it will be a along 2 weeks but so grateful for this forum because we are all in the same boat. It will save me driving my OH crazy 🤪

Clara202 · 06/10/2024 16:41

@Pennyroses a 19 week loss is very tough, so sorry to hear that. I’ll have everything crossed that your rainbow baby comes along shortly 🙏🏻

I don’t even know what signs to look out for! I’m only recently off the pill so I don’t even remember what an ovulation cramp etc might have felt like 😂 I have the pregnancy tests ready to go anyway, I don’t think I’ll test early, but I’ll follow your leads ladies 😂

Thankyou, it really is such a long wait!! I'm going to try my best to refrain from testing early this month as I had a chemical last month and I kind of wish I just hadn't tested. I'm going to try and wait til 2 days late but easier said than done isn't it!! Good luck to you 🍀🤞

Anyone having a drink during the TWW or keeping things clean?! I’m attending a wedding on Saturday, unsure what to do yet

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 07/10/2024 22:57

@Clara202 I had my own engagement party on Saturday night and had a few drinks. I dont think I will for the rest of the 2 weeks now. Its so early so I think one or two is ok, 9 months without a glass of wine is a long time haha 🤣

Clara202 · 07/10/2024 23:07

@ThatSnugSwan oh congratulations! Such a special time, we got engaged last year and married recently, it’s all ahead of you! I’m thinking not drinking every TWW will be difficult as well, I’m not sure how putting our lives on hold for 2 weeks every month will be sustainable for however long it takes but I’ll see how it goes! I might just have 1 or 2 on the weekend and leave it at that

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 08/10/2024 09:12

@Clara202 Thank you so much, yes exciting times.
Thats exactly what I was thinking and I did drink alot less than I usually would at an occasion but still enjoyed myself and it was a great distraction from the obsessive baby making thoughts in my head. Enjoy the wedding 😊

ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 09:29

How is eveyone getting on? Day 5 today of the tww and Im so impatient 🙈 I even bought some cheap test strips to have them ready

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 12:05

@ThatSnugSwan I’m symptom watching like a mad woman!😂 tender breasts, dull cramps in lower abdomen. Could mean absolutely nothing! 😅

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 12:44

@Clara202 Im the same, I did have dull aches and a few twinges when I walked Tuesday evening and convinced myself it was something happening 🤣 but I know that was even too early. Counting down the days now haha

Marie1990x · 10/10/2024 13:14

Symptom spotting overload here 😂. Boobs have been in absolute agony for the last few days. Waiting on my progesterone blood test to come back to confirm if I ovulated 🤞🏻

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 13:21

I woke with a sharp twinge two nights ago but I believe implantation would have been impossible that early on! What’s the earliest test day for us, day 8?

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 14:20

Looks like we are all in the same boat with the symptom spotting 🙈🤣
Day 8 is Saturday and Id be lying if I said I wont test that early but I know how obsessive I'll be especially now I bought the cheap tests

ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 14:21

Ive had 3 pregnancys, two healthy kids and 1 miscarriage. On all 3 I had implantation bleeding so Im constantly checking for this too, ill be stone mad by the end of the 2 weeks

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 15:07

@ThatSnugSwan do you remember what day you had the bleed? Never pregnant before so I’m taking every little twinge as a symptom, could just be the terrible diet choices I’ve been making lately 😂

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 15:21

Im sure it was 3/4 days before AF was due. The miscarriage one Im not sure because I didnt have a period after getting the implant contraceptive bar removed I fell pregnant staright away and tested the day after the implantation bleed and got a positive. It was only a day of brown blood each time for me
