Hi! I had a miscarriage in November 2020 and then fell pregnant in April 2021. So about 3/4 cycles x

FinallyMovingHouse · 19/09/2024 10:15

3 MC. 1st one was 4 months til pg. 2nd one was 1 month til pg, third one was the last, as my DH had a vasectomy.

CLEO42 · 19/09/2024 10:20

I’m sorry to hear you’ve experienced a miscarriage. I hope you are doing ok physically and have loving support around you

I had m/c at 9 weeks, took 3 days off work (could have had longer but I needed something else to think about). I got pregnant in the next cycle. So about 6 weeks after the M/c and that pregnancy went full term and I’ve got a wonderful teenager right now

FloofPaws · 19/09/2024 10:33

I had a bit of a mix - falling pregnant and MC then conceived again quickly, once I had first baby, but had a few times falling pregnant again quickly and had MC ... second baby was after a period of stopping TTC as I'd just had a new job and wanted to hold off, but as soon as we decided not to be too worried as I was a few months into the job I fell pregnant quickly
My obstetrician said she didn't bother telling her ladies TTC to wait after MC as it can actually be that the body is 'primed' and ready to fall pregnant again (this was nearly 20 years ago), but I've heard others saying similar
Good luck!

I just popped in to say how sorry I am. I had a MMC last month and it was the hardest, saddest thing I've ever been through. Reading these happy stories is giving me hope this morning, as I hope it has you. Best of luck x

I had 4 succesful pgs in my 20s and early 30s, then 4 early losses when i was 37 and 38. Left it a full year as just could not face another loss after 4 in a row.

I was not massively overweight (about 1½ stone) but i did take a stone off. I shouldn't think that had much impact but, who knows, as i fell pg again a month before my 40th birthday and had a normal pg that went full term, healthy baby.

Hi, I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy then conceived my DD about 4 months (5th cycle) after and had a healthy pregnancy.

I got my first period about 6 weeks after the miscarriage but we didn't try that first cycle just to give my body a chance to recover

If you have a D&C (I didn't) they usually recommend to wait 6 months to try again but heard lots of people say they got pregnant sooner

TossedSaladandSE · 19/09/2024 11:28

I got pregnant 3 months ago this after my miscarriage and had a healthy boy

TossedSaladandSE · 19/09/2024 11:28

I got pregnant 3 months after my miscarriage

Hughs · 19/09/2024 12:04

I had a miscarriage in the May and was pregnant again beginning of November, DD arrived the following July.

I got pregnant just before the due date of the one I lost, which helped I think.

mummymummymummummum · 19/09/2024 12:10

I got pregnant every cycle we TTC. 6 miscarriages, 2 successful pregnancies. I generally waited one cycle after each miscarriage, with one exception (surgical management of one MMC didn’t give the right results and it took 6 months to convince doctors of this, solution was a single tablet 🤯)

grlpwer · 19/09/2024 12:14

I had my youngest within a year of my MMC, was due the date we found out the previous baby had no hb.

jellyfish2 · 19/09/2024 12:17

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time ❤️ I had a MMC in February and had surgical management. I fell pregnant 4 cycles later (I missed one out as I was just so low about it all). I'm currently 15 weeks and so far so good. It feels like forever at the time but I know that 4 months isn't long. I hope you get your BFP soon, it's such a lonely, all consuming place to be but I found this site so helpful and reassuring x

Andarna · 19/09/2024 12:58

No idea, I had 6 miscarriages before DD. Just keep hope.

babyno2isdue · 19/09/2024 12:59

Sorry to hear your going through this op it's one of the toughest times I've ever been through

I had a mc at 8 weeks, didn't try again for about 3/4months just wasn't ready then took a further 8months to get pregnant again, was a successful pregnancy went on the have another baby (username out of date) just under 2 year later no other mc's

Will say successful pregnancies were clouded with anxiety unfortunately and although I did very much enjoy being pregnant, didn't full relax until they were in my arms

Chasesnail · 19/09/2024 13:02

My first pregnancy miscarried at about 7 weeks. I fell pregnant again without having had a period. Apparently it is a period of high fertility afterwards, but the doctors do advise having a period in between. They could not deal with the fact i hadnt had a period and they couldnt use their little wheel to calculate how many weeks i was! All went well with this pregnancy and DS is now 6.

ByDreamyMintNewt · 19/09/2024 13:04

Early miscarriage in late October/early November, pregnant again by December. I'd also had an ectopic pregnancy in August. Now have a healthy 5 and a half week old boy.

KittyFantastica · 19/09/2024 13:49

So sorry you've had a rough start to your journey. For us it was surprisingly quick each time, though that came with its stresses too as we weren't expecting it.

I had a MC at 6 weeks in January. I conceived off the back of that miscarriage and lost that pregnancy in a MMC at 9 weeks, discovered at 10 weeks.

It took nearly 8 weeks for my period to return, and it wasn't normal as I had 2 periods in the space of 18 days. I assumed it was intermittent bleeds and I wasn't ovulating. I'm 18 weeks pregnant now.

So one period between the first MC and second pregnancy. And 1.5 periods between MMC and third pregnancy, which is still ongoing.

cushionstar · 19/09/2024 15:17

I got pregnant straight away after 3 months TTC 10 years ago I was 27. No issues.
Then fast forward 6 years I was pregnant every 7/8 months for 2 years only last Til 7 weeks then miscarried so I miscarried 3 in a row.
until the last one I got pregnant in January this year and I'm due to give birth next week
❤️
The only difference was that I've been on blood thinners this whole pregnancy as I was told I have some indicators of APS which I had treated and tgus pregnancy which worked x

cadburyegg · 19/09/2024 15:52

So sorry Flowers

Had a horrendous miscarriage in March 2017. Lots of complications. Got a positive pregnancy test in July 2017. That baby is now in Year 2.

Thinking of you.

Negangirlxx · 19/09/2024 16:10

I miscarried at around 5.5/6 weeks in December. Had a period in January, then conceived in February.

I’m almost 33 weeks pregnant.

Best wishes, and good luck OP.

DesteB · 19/09/2024 18:33

6 weeks after trying to conceive for 6.5 years and miscarrying.

verabarbleen · 19/09/2024 18:42
