Hey everyone moving over from the ttc sept 2024 thread. Very light start to period today. Expect to start tomorrow with negative pregancy tests. Thought id dip my toes in and start a wee thread.

Little bit about me. Im 35 years (soon to be 36 in oct...a birthday bfp would be lovely) been ttc since jan this year. This will now be cycle 10 for me. I have a 8 year old daughter with my ex and had to have ivf/icsi to have her due to his low sperm count. My new partner and i have been together now 2 and a half year and would love to extend our family.

So far i have had day 21 bloods which confirmed that i am ovulating and waiting to hear back regarding his SA results.

@Moomoo20 I had the mmc in July when I was 9 weeks pregnant but baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. I think it was about 4.5 weeks I until I had my first period. Then we straight away started again. I had a mmc in July 2022 and it took a bit longer for me to get my head around it all and thought of sex was not happening for me. But we did conceive my daughter in November 22. This time it has seemed ‘easier’ to process. Maybe because we already have my little girl and if I hadn’t had the MC to begin with she would never exist.

5DPO. No symptoms of anything today but it’s still so early. This whole thing makes me extra grateful for my baby and that with first pregnancy it was 1st cycle. 😮‍💨

@LS888 2nd! Last month was first time ever getting a negative pregnancy test.

I’ve bought some tests for the weekend 🙃 I’ve no idea if I even ovulated lol

@BGxxx are you going for a relaxed approach to TTC?

I did it, I ordered pregnancy tests in Prime sale 😅 they will arrive on 6DPO, so earliest I can test is 7DPO with FMU on Thursday, but that would be money down the drain, so I hope to wait till Monday!

Got FRER this time and another brand I hadn’t heard of just to use different ones, due to the indents/false positive shadows I got last month on the cheap B&M ones.

Exactly the same for me this month! I was lulled into thinking it was so easy when I fell first time with our son. Now I've had my first negative test, I appreciate how lucky we really were!

@Tadpolecat I really hope we will soon be pregnant and then a couple or few months will seem like nothing! ❤️

I have been known to test without even knowing if I have ovulated. Like, last night 😂

@MyGardenDaisies yes trying! I haven’t had a postpartum period yet because I’m still breastfeeding but I had my first signs of ovulation last week… but I’ve read that you can get the signs and it not happen 🤦🏻‍♀️

@LetstalkaboutBruno im glad it’s not just me then 🤣🤣 I feel like I need to test just in case

I’m in cycle day 5 so due to ovulate in just under a week and I’m starting to get nervous. It’s crazy to think I could be pregnant this time next month, don’t want to get my hopes it but it’s such a wild thought

@BGxxx nope you’re not the only one. Someone suggested that I could have ovulated earlier in my cycle. I just went straight for a test 😂. I did an OPK tonight, it was well on its way to be being positive. Not quite yet, though. So maybe I didn’t actually ovulate as I suspect!

@LifeonMarss ugh I keep daydreaming the same ! Like I go and count how many weeks I would be in terms of how gestation would be counted from 1st day of cycle… like am I 2 weeks 2 days pregnant? 😩 Flo app doesn’t help with showing the “if you’re pregnant you’re due on 25th of June” 🫠

@LifeonMarss I was literally just thinking the same thing ! I've just ovulated going by ovulation test. It's exciting but worrying !

Hi, so it has been just over three weeks since my miscarriage and I’m feeling ready to start trying again. I have started using ovulation sticks. This was my result today. I haven’t had my first cycle yet since the mc. I know this obviously is a negative ovulation stick but I feel like it is getting dark, can I ovulate/fall pregnant even if i haven’t had my period erring yet? 

I did a test yesterday and it was negative! Due on tomorrow and got those dreaded pains!

I hope everyone has more luck than me this month 🤞🏻 I dread it taking another 18 months to fall pregnant again 😔 x

Yes you could definitely concieve again before you’re next period 🥰

Hope everyone is getting on ok distracting themselves for the TWW!
I did a test this morning at what I think is 9DPO and BFN. Last month with a chemical I was positive at 9DPO but quickly became negative again, so unsure how I feel about it- I know logically it’s too early to count myself out just yet, but I prefer to be let down gently. sometimes feel like I need to get the early testing ‘out of my system’ and then I feel calmer to wait a few days before testing again. Period is due Sunday I think, so will try and wait until Saturday now before testing again. If we are out this month (will be onto cycle 7) I’m going to try giving ovulation testing a go, which I haven’t tried before.

The wait is awful isn’t it!?! Just not knowing and every twinge feels “something”…

@Pipersgirl you are right it’s still early days and you may have ovulated later than you thought. After my mmc I ovulated a few days later in the next cycle. Keeping everything crossed that we get some positive tests in the next few days/weeks on here. 🤞🏻

The wait is killing me now! i am trying to remember that i tested a stark white negative at 12DPO for my first, then a blazing positive on 17DPO!! so i am desperately going to try and wait until 15DPO for me - which would be 17th/18th Oct!

Day 23 for me today. Period due in 3 days. Cant bring myself to take a test after so many negatives. In my head at least i get a couple more days of hopefullness before disappointment and feeling so low. Iv been feeling nauseous with tender boobs but i get that every cycle. More tired than normal but i am packing up to move and been mega stressed so i think that explains that. Iv been very snappy towards my partner for the last few days so i think i may be out this month. This is cycle 10 for me c

@AmberM223 my Premom app says to test on 17th but that’s only 10dpo for me. My period is due around then. Or 14DPO would be 20th so think I might hold out until then. But then I would be late for my period anyway. Last time I was pregnant I felt so sick at the 14dpo mark that I knew before I took the test. I told my husband to buy a test on the way home from work! Hoping I get an obvious sign like that again!

@Nicola1988 stay strong and test in a few days. Moving is stressful! You definitely aren’t out yet!
